I am so impatient, but was congratulating myself at not testing until CD28 this month. BFNs all three times I've tested, but I haven't had a cycle this long since March last year and normally have a good few days of spotting before AF actually arrives in earnest.
I'm fairly sure OV was late this month, CD17/18, so is it possible that a fertilised egg is preventing AF but isn't yet implanted?
