Am reading threads going back years on this subject and taken advice from Lisa Olsen who is an expert on fertility etc, get her Ebook its great reading..anyway her advice is 100% to take AC throughout the whole cycle,This stands to reason given the idea is it will balance the hormones for the entire process of your cycle not just up to OV. Point is if you suffer from a short Luteal Phase and drop AC at the point where this starts it will remain short. Odd that general consenus is to stop at OV? Stop when you know you are preg yes but you are missing the point if you need the balance AFTER your suspected Ovulation
