Hi everyone :) so i'm completely new here. I don't know what anything means apart from ttc so if u reply with anything like that please explain what it means! I came off microgynon and had my bleed from this from 4th to 9th march. Then i had my 'real' period from 10th to 14th april. I'd been on the pill for 9 years so was really young when i started taking it and never took much notice of my periods but i know my cycle was longer than 28 days. I'm just really wondering now that i've had my real period, does this mean i'm ovulating? My partner works away and he's home this weekend (for 4 days) so i'm wondering as my cycle is longer does this mean i am possibly ovulating this weekend/start of next week? Any advice would be appreciated...as u can probably tell this would be our first child haha. Thank u :)

I think its usually btw 7-10 days after the end of your period. I was unsure so used the clear blue ovulation sticks which you use as soon as bleeding stops they worked perfectly for me. Also your body gives you signs of ovulation. You could check your temp every morning when you get up and when it raises slightly this could mean you're ovulating. Also TMI (too much information) warning you might notice a change in your discharge it becomes clearer and more runny. Definitely recommend ovulation sticks tho

Thank u for ur comments :) haven't thought to try the ovulation tests! My partner is away for 3 weeks or more at a time so hoping that i'll be ovulating when he's home (maybe wishful thinking...). I'm trying not to stress too much and thinking 'when its meant to happen it will happen' however with him being away a lot it might take a while!!
