Good luck hb, hope you've got on ok and had a good haul.

nolly I think you need to test the job market sometimes and feeling like you have options (even if you turn them down) can help keep you sane. Will have to try Justin Fforde, need some daft reading material.

Not sure what's happening with the tiger cubs. Not optimistic or pessimistic just trying to take each day at a time. Not really experiencing any symptoms of note but then I'm only 4dp5dt so it's early days. Was going to test early (Sunday) before i go back to work, but I think I'll try and hold out until OTD on the 15th, although I think I'll find that very hard.

Thanks for all the cheering on berries. Flowers I think the next week is going to be tough.

sparechange · 08/05/2015 12:58

Hang in there tiger
The waiting is just grim, isn't it. But we are pom pomming for you all the way
nolly I'm clearly suffering from sleep deprivation after sitting up til 3am to watch the election results, but 'ladybros' is making me laugh out loud. Can that be in the next thread title please..?

tigerdog · 08/05/2015 13:16

Cross post spare - that's great news. Sounds like a really positive appointment and not long to wait. Arm squeeze from me too, hope this time is the one!

happylass · 08/05/2015 17:00

HB hope you're ok? I seem to remember you had quite a rough ride at EC last time Flowers

beakybeak · 08/05/2015 17:20

Spare what a lovely consultant, and it all sounds very promising. Can I ask did she give you any stats for set v det? obsessed how are you feeling now?

HB any news? Hope you're ok.

Nolly great that you were offered the job anyway! A little confidence boost if nothing else.

Tiger you seem to be doing really well, pompoming away for you over here! I'd try and hold out too as if I ever test I always thing what ifs. Are you back to work next week?

Off out for a few drinks tonight with some friends woohoo! Thank god Work is done for the week!

Happy weekend berries!

HampshireBlues · 08/05/2015 18:21

Hi berries, finally home after another rough time. On the up side we got 9 eggs in total so similar to our first cycle this time last year so am happy.

Will catch up later but hope everyone else is ok

IamKuma · 08/05/2015 18:58

HB - glad you are home and got a decent stash of eggs. Get your feet up and relax now.

nolly3 · 08/05/2015 21:48

that's great hb! congratulations and hope you're having a relaxing evening
yes did feel nice to be wanted beaky [sobs] Wink onwards and upwards x

barkingtreefrog · 08/05/2015 23:23

nolly another Jasper Fforde fan here, love the first nursery rhyme book! I read a few of the Tuesday Next series but they were getting a bit sameish by book 4. I enjoyed shades of grey as well (the Jasper Fforde book...)

HB Sorry you had a rough time, fingers crossed it will all be worth it.

Spare sounds like a positive meeting. And it's all go again so soon!

beakybeak · 09/05/2015 11:03

HB what a good stash but sorry you had a rubbish time of it. Hope you are feeling better today.

Smidge001 · 09/05/2015 12:41

Oooh nine's good HB. Get yourself a well earned glass of vino.

TheRainDrops · 09/05/2015 12:45

HB hope you're feeling ok today, great egg haul - any updates as yet?

nolly, barking I also loved those nursery crimes books! Is he still writing them?

spare your new doc sounds great, glad you had such a good meeting

tiger hope you're keeping well. You know where we all are when you need distraction from early pimping.

Woke up with a weird itchy rash today. I think it's stress, spending most of this weeken working Sad. On the plus side our rspca home check is this afternoon so hopefully rainycat will be here tomorrow Grin

Sorry for lack of detailed catch ups, have to get back to the grindstone...

HampshireBlues · 09/05/2015 16:02

Hope the check went well Rain and that rainy cat is on her way to you soon.

Only read one jasper fforde book but can't find anymore anywhere, where are you finding them?

Had the call from the clinic, of the nine, five fertilised normally. The rest were all abnormal. So next call on Monday when we will find out when we will have transfer.

WildflowerMarmalade · 09/05/2015 19:29

That's good HB. You are getting there step by step.

Rain - when will Rain-cat be arriving? Assuming that you have passed the home inspection! Smile She looks gorgeous in the photo and has a very fine set of whiskers.

I'm shattered, still not recovered from hardly any sleep on election night. Will do a proper post soon.

beakybeak · 09/05/2015 19:51

HB 5 is great! Barry was clearly doing his stuff Grin pompoms galore for that call on Monday. are you on cyclogest alone or anything else?

Wild were you up right through? I couldn't stay up too late in the end I was still wrecked at work on Friday!

Rain is rainycat 2 arriving tomorrow then? She looks super cute in the pic! I'm trying to persude MrB to get beakypup 2 Grin

tigerdog · 10/05/2015 08:15

Well done hb and hope those 5 are developing well and you're recovering nicely from egg collection. Flowers

rain don't work too hard! Hope rainycat will be with you soon!

I feel glum. Need to snap out of it. Back to work tomorrow, meaning I'm away until Thurs, and feeling very tempted to poas even though it's only 6dp5dt.

Pipbin · 10/05/2015 09:14

Have skim read the thread and just checking in.

Pipbin 40 now forever child free and best in show.

beakybeak · 10/05/2015 09:22

Tiger I have no idea how early is too early to test after a 5dt, but hold out if you can - either way you'll have a more conclusive result later in the week and I am crossing everything I've got for a bffp. You're bound to feel a bit glum going back to work after 2 weeks, have you got anything nice planned today?

beakybeak · 10/05/2015 09:24
barkingtreefrog · 10/05/2015 09:33

rain only the two nursery crime books as far as I can see. He's got a new book out in January which looks unrelated to any of the others. I was hoping he would write a sequel to Shades of Grey.
Any news on the arrival of rainy cat 2?

HB I bought mine in waterstones when I was still on paperbacks, but they're all on Amazon (I just use kindle now).
Great news on 5 fertilising, fingers crossed for tomorrow. Are they aiming for a day 5 transfer? Are you putting in one or two?

beaky I keep wanting a second dog, then ours does something to remind us that one is enough!

tiger step away from the piss sticks, it's too early Thanks . Are you going to have to pimp without Mr T or are you waiting until Friday? I think the scariest bit about potentially doing the fet on my own this summer while DH is away for a month is facing the result on my own.

Right, must get this dog walked so I can get out on my bike later Smile .

beakybeak · 10/05/2015 12:23

Berries, I'm getting a bit worried as AF hasn't arrived yet and my baseline scan is Tuesday. If she doesn't turn up tomorrow it'll be too early and they literally plan your IVF cycle to the day Confused arghhhh!

WildflowerMarmalade · 10/05/2015 13:24

Tiger it really is too early to test, you won't be convinced by the result whatever it is and it will just give your mind even more to churn over. Friday seems like an age away, but once you are back at work you will have something to distract you and that will help make the time fly by. And Beaky is right, going back to work after two weeks off is never nice.

Spare that consultant sounds ace and it's fantastic that you have a plan for maximising your goes with the frosties you have. I really hope you are feeling a bit better after all the recent upset, and go easy on yourself. Was it Tiger who said she hadn't made a fuss which meant her DH hadn't appreciated how hard it had actually been? There's no harm in reminding those around you that you are making things look easy purely because you are so amazing.

I had an interesting conversation with our consultant last week. He confirmed the hysteroscopy and D&C (will be on Tuesday) and then medicated FET next month including steroids and intralipids. He wants to defrost all ten embies and then transfer two day five embies. NB. Beaky that is a DET. He said based on my age DET was justified.

He also said that I'll be taking Clexane to counteract any risk of clotting and that if I wanted to I could take baby aspirin too for the same reason. This is the same doctor who was very firm about not taking aspirin during stimms. Although I'm not too keen on the aspirin idea as I took it one month and it gave me headaches.

Beaky I'm sure AF will turn up today or tomorrow, she's just -a cow- teasing you. But white jeans can only help you. I stayed up until one on electin night and baked a cake, then went to bed and got up again at three. I timed it quite nicely for all the exciting bits, but was exhausted afterwards.

Waves to Pip - what have you been up to?

tigerdog · 10/05/2015 15:12

I know wise ladies, it is too early for a definite result. I felt so tearful and hopeless this morning but I keep telling myself it is just as likely to have worked as not worked and I have a reasonable chance.... mustn't give up yet.

I aim to hold out until Friday barking, which is official otd and also when I'm working from home. It will be hard not to crack a day or two before, but the thought of having to deal with a bfn away from home should stop me.

Sounds like a very detailed plan there wild and not too much longer to wait.

Beaky I hope af arrives for you asap. Can you call them up and put the scan back a week if af doesn't arrive? So frustrating when you just want to get going!

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday. We've just been to a lovely part of the countryside to walk round a ruined country house. It was very beautiful and a good distraction for a couple of hours at least!

nolly3 · 10/05/2015 16:05

Let the mental out here tiger, that's what we're here for. Friday seems like a long way away now but if you don't take any down with you... and when you get into the swing of the week (esp post-holiday) you'll be busy enough to have other things to think of. Reach for the zen - it really is out of your hands at this point. Big hug.

that's a great response HB. Hope you've had a decent chance to recover over the weekend.

Pleased to find so many JF fans. Best place to find the books is here www.jasperfforde.com. I really liked the Thursday next books though i agree barking the 4th one was the weakest. But they're full of jokes that you'd probabyl only get if you'd spent a significant part of your life reading. and reading all kinds of books, he's very unsnnobby about it. As far as I know he's planning a sequel to Shades of Grey (that was my fav actually).

Hope the witch shows for you, beaky. so frustrating when your body misbehaves.

wild how come he wants to defrost all 10, do you know? Feelign OK abotu the D&C etc?

Poor you rain working on the weekend :( More pics of raincat to cheer us all up please. Physical manifestation of stress is not a good sign.

spare can't take credit for ladybros, I nicked it from the VAgenda.

Spent the weekend with some friends, 2 of whom are diffed (both after ladybit problems) and one who's been trying for ages too. And then one other. Who, guess what, babybombed with a smug instadiff (i make if 4 months) announcement. her partner has one child already and he is a terrible father (on the lines of '"it was a terrible mistake having child"). How come a little tit like that gets to be a dad and lovely MrN doens't? it's so unfair. I know she's all flushed and excited but at 8 weeks and in front of her audience I dno't think I'd be talking about returnign to work plans just yet. AND she started spouting stats about miscarriage at me. I just said YES I KNOW THE RISKS GO DOWN THANK YOU. FFS. anyway. Rant over.

back to swabbing the floor. Adios ladybros

beakybeak · 10/05/2015 17:29

Oh no. Does she know about your MC Nol? How bloody insensitive. I hope apart from that you were able to enjoy your time with your friends.

Tiger you have as a good a chance as any and you know the berries deserve more luck too. All fingers crossed and breaking out the fire pompoms especially! Nolly is right though either way to can't change anything so try and stick to the zen, you've done amazingly so far!

Wild that's great that you've had everything confirmed - when are you due your next cycle then? Eek not long! I don't think you'll need to take aspirin if they aren't insisting. Also how does it give you a headache? I love aspirin, only the dissolvable type though but it makes me feel better every time within about 10mins. What does the d&c involve then?

HB good luck for that call tomorrow! How are you feeling today?

Rain did you get rainycat yet?

Barking our pup doesn't see other dogs enough and she loves a companion so much. I want a little black one!

Hope everyone else has had a nice weekend, I'm dreading work tomorrow as it's just so busy at the moment.
