VIBES for your follies VIBES

beakybeak · 18/05/2015 21:58

Thanks tiger. I'm struggling to explain to dh why I'm so upset as he thinks I've written everything off already. I just need 3 follies otherwise they will cancel the cycle. Crossing my fingers like mad.

beakybeak · 18/05/2015 21:59

Thanks Nolly

barkingtreefrog · 18/05/2015 22:03

I'm pom poming as hard as I can for you beaky, which is pretty hard as I've also got everything crossed for spare tomorrow at the same time.

tiger can you take some time off sick? This is the time to be kind to yourself and put yourself first. Work is obviously not providing a sufficient distraction, it seems being at home and doing whatever you need to do would be a better plan Thanks.

nolly3 · 18/05/2015 22:10

beaky it's self protection mode isn't it. fingers crossed so tightly for you x

barkingtreefrog · 18/05/2015 22:17

Nolly I did my first open water swim at the weekend! 11'C at Rother Valley. Managed just the one lap but it wasn't anywhere near as scary or hard as I thought it was going to be Grin. Apparently those doing the slateman had to swim through muddy water Confused.

nolly3 · 18/05/2015 22:26

cool! so rad. wetsuits have really come on haven't they. I remember when they gave you the horizontal arm look. great achievement!

Beaky keeping everything crossed for lots of follie growth. As others have said things can change drastically between scans (and with different people doing the scans!). Not sure I found anything useful during my research - just a load of conflicting information Confused. I did full in some questionnaires for FCs abroad though, so it'll be interesting to see what they say.

Will be thinking of you today spare.

Berries I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself. AF turned up so that's my FUFC out the window.

tigerdog · 19/05/2015 08:27

Aw fuck it nolly I'm sorry. It's a killer when hope goes out the window. Hope you're ok.

Good luck today spare.

barking you hardcore lady with your outdoor swimming! I'm loath to take time off as we're so busy and I've just had two weeks out. Yesterday was very hard but I think it will get easier. I'm already feeling better today. Had a long chat to my best friend last night, who was really wonderful.

I feel the need to take action, so I am on a mission to improve egg quality and quit sugar. Regular yoga and some gentle running will be back on the cards. Not this week though as I'm out every night Wink Looking forward to my first Wine in several months although actually the thought is not as appealing as I thought it would be.

beakybeak · 19/05/2015 08:35

Aww Nolly I wondering whether she'd arrived this morning. Sorry lovely Flowers

Thanks for the good vibes berries. I'm debating whether to take aspirin to help, that way at least we may get to go ahead to EC. But then I don't know what's best. I am dreading the next scan, I started sobbing before we even got to the car. I couldn't even open my mouth to ask any questions at the end of the scan.

Spare good luck for today!

Barking that sounds tough, well done you.

Tiger thinking of you Flowers

beakybeak · 19/05/2015 08:54

Cross post Tiger it sounds like you have a good few distractions there and a good plan in place. Will you get a follow up? Make sure you get a really nice glass of Wine - you might as well make the most of your one drink!

tigerdog · 19/05/2015 11:40

Aw beaky it must be tough. I hope you're ok. We just have to keep going, a day at a time. I will be cheering on your follies all week. Don't know about the asprin but I think at this stage the main thing to do is be kind to yourself.

sparechange · 19/05/2015 15:07

I'm PUPO!
Only one passenger, because the second embie stopped dividing overnight so wasn't good enough to put back. But the one that went back was 'top grade' so fingers crossed.
DH is looking after me for the rest of the day, then back to work tomorrow.
nolly sorry for AF, but it does mean your cycle is nice a regular so hopefully bodes well for next month!

FortySixandTwo · 19/05/2015 16:21

Hi All, I got the call back from the clinic yesterday morning and it was much as I had expected. The HSG and Lap Dye will be ordered if the clinic decide I need further tests after the AMH, I asked about moving it along as my age was a factor but they seemed unconcerned and said it would only really be needed if the other tests pointed to that and that my 'dildo-cam' had produced clear results (however i'm now confused as I didn't think they showed the same thing ?) I'm thinking of ordering this test with them privately as another test I've had done in my arsenal but in all honesty i'm just lost with their process which is frustrating as I thought I had honestly got it all straight in my head and we were ready to move on with the treatment.

On a slightly brighter side I had a little windfall this morning which has gone toward the private cycle fund if needed which has cheered me up a little. Dh has also opened up a little in the last few days and has been actively reading up on things and bringing me tidbits of information (most of which I've already found out from you lovely ladies but I keep smiling and nodding and he seems to be getting his thumb out of his bum about it)

Nolly sorry AF turned up for you
Tiger I hope you enjoy your Wine
spare rest rest and more rest I hope DH is taking good care of you
beaky Sorry you had a tough time at the scan Flowers

Good vibes and positive thoughts to all today.

tigerdog · 19/05/2015 16:33

Great news spare! Wishing you all the luck in the world! What's your plan for the two week wait? xx

HampshireBlues · 19/05/2015 18:00

Spare woohoo on being PUPO glad you have a top grade embie on board.

Beaky will keep pom-poms get off your follies to pick up by the next scan. Just keep on taking a day at a time but don't worry if you have a moment (it is allowed)

Barking I'm a very impressed with the open water swim; not sure about the mud though! I hate anything cold, so could not do it.

Nolly sorry AF got you Wine

Tiger sounds like you're taking control of things and like the fact that you are going to have some fun beforehand.

Fortysix glad that DH is catching up with the programme, it takes them some time but hey at least they get there eventually. Stupid clinic though; frustrating when you think you have it sussed and then they don't play ball.

I'm ok thanks berries, feeling fine and have no symptoms so trying to figure out if that is a symptom in itself. Or am I overanalysing things? Trying hard not to pimp and pretty lucky that I have no frers in the house!

lucieloos · 19/05/2015 20:07

Yay congrats on being pupo spare, really hoping it all works out for you.

barkingtreefrog · 19/05/2015 20:56

Right, trying to have a proper catch up with all the posts I skim read but didn't have time to reply to as I've got some time on the sofa tonight Grin.

funky you still in here or have you slunk out again? Can't believe you've been away 4 months! Looking forward to lots of doggy cuddles?! Grin

I'm still considering whether to do our frozen cycle when dh is out of the country. Depends how dates work with the biopsy etc.

beaky you asked how MrB was doing - not great Sad. All his friends are away on holiday this week. It used to be a big group of us going away together every summer to go climbing, biking etc. This year we didn't even get invited as they've all gone away with their babies and toddlers, every single one of them conceived and born after we started trying Sad . He's gone back to searching for jobs abroad - New Zealand currently. I don't object to moving abroad, but I'm torn between knowing dh is unhappy and desperate to get away, and knowing my dad has about 2 years left to live and moving to the other side of the world right now is fucking bad timing.

Anyway, no idea on the aspirin, but hoping for good news at the next scan either way. It's such a ridiculous emotional rollercoaster, don't beat yourself up for getting upset, be kind to yourself Thanks.

minx sorry about the announcements. Yes, pretty much everyone recommends giving up caffeine. And wheat. And dairy. And alcohol. And anything else you might dare to enjoy. Whilst those who drink and smoke and eat shit get diffed without trying. not bitter, not one tiny bit

Nolly I reckon we could all call on the berricade whenever we need it. Matching lycra? I reckon we've got enough cyclists among us to supply plenty Grin.

spare PUPO! woo! Excellent news on the top grade embie, everything still crossed here Smile.

hb how are you holding up?

Think I'm all caught up now Grin

barkingtreefrog · 19/05/2015 21:03

Sorry hb you'd already answered that and I missed it! Overanalysing seems a normal pattern of behaviour to me Grin.
I don't do cold either. I was wearing a wetsuit, and a neoprene swim hat, gloves, socks and shoes!!!! Talk about overkill! Apart from the initial shock of the water I was toasty warm Grin.

beakybeak · 19/05/2015 22:19

Yey Spare good luck and congrats on being PUPO! All fingers crossed for you.

Thanks everyone for the support, it's much appreciated.

Forty hopefully they will book you in for one after your appointment. It's usually part of the initial investigations.

Barking yes that's not the best time to move abroad, nothing is ever easy eh. I hate not being included in things because I don't have kids. One of my friends uninvited me from her child's party as I don't have any kids. Grrr.

HB glad you're doing ok, I've got everything crossed for you. When's otd?

Smidge001 · 19/05/2015 23:16

I just scrolled back to Gill's runners and riders list to remind myself where everyone is up to. HB you've got a while left til OTD - how many days po have they set your test date? My clinic go for 11dp5dt so 16 days .. (Hence why I always know well beforehand). Good luck for keeping same over the coming few days!!

spare congratulations on being PUPO! You must be thrilled your request to defrost only 2 has proven to be the right decision! (Seemed a no brainier to me too, can't understand why the clinic don't do that as a matter of course Hmm)

Tiger take each day as it comes. Flowers

It seems there are a lot of us limbering up for treatment in June. That's a bit scary. I refuse to use the word clusterdiff as it feels a bad omen what with it never proving to be the case for me any time in the past. From now on it's simply a collection of berries hoping to bear fruit independently but at the same time.

Saw on facebook a friend of mine is expecting twins with his long term girlfriend. They're older than me so I'm left immediately wanting to know if it was IVF! They're based in Bermuda so presume any treatment would have been in the US where I'm sure they have higher rates of multiples. Could of course be natural but I'm curious to know. (Boy and girl so clearly not identical!). Haven't had a response to my text so will have to try email instead. nosy

sparechange · 20/05/2015 09:35

Eurgh, a wang please.
DH has just texted to say his sister is pregnant. Probably her second instadiff, and on the 2nd birthday of her first. Well that's our plans for Christmas changed them..!
HB How are you doing? Thinking of you
Barking I suggested to DH that if this doesn't work, we move abroad for a few years. My job is more easily moved than his, but he has looked into it and thinks it might be tricky to get a visa, but I haven't totally discounted it... Your situation is really tough though.
