Birchy some say you need levels above 20 and some say 30 to confirm ov and support a pregnancy. Either way your levels are great.

I use the baby

DizzyMerry · 11/05/2015 15:23

Oops posted too soon! I use the babymad thermometer too. It was recommended on here.

BananaRaces · 11/05/2015 15:23

Birchy I had my day21 test last month and got 23 - which they said was fine. So (I'm guessing) 63 is good... I'm not a doctor or anything though!

Ladies, I'm finding it so hard to get through today (have said I won't POAS until tomorrow morning - first day of what should be AF) because I really feel like there is something going on... I don't know whether I am PG or getting sick but:

-I feel as hot as a walking radiator and I'm drinking like a fish.
-I feel so nauseous it's ridiculous, and when I should be hungry I'm just feeling more nauseous. Then I eat and the food tastes bad.
-I'm also burping like an absolute trooper.
-I am so dizzy that I'm having to walk slowly.
-I keep forgetting to do things at work which I do several times a day (things which I would never normally forget to do).
-I have had some random spotting again today, but no AF.

I really hope I am PG (obviously), but I don't want to get my hopes up and see a BFN in the morning Sad. So I keep trying to tell myself that I'm getting sick... Only it's not really working... Confused

Any ideas on how I can make it through to the morning without going bonkers????

birchygoo · 11/05/2015 15:46

Thanks all that's reassuring at least something is right - i had the other tests this morning so I will be able to report back on those in a few days.

remember fingers crossed for your repeat test on Thursday. Let us know how it goes - although from my limited understanding am I right in thinking this is one of the easier things to fix with clomid and progesterone?

dizzy thanks for the reassurance

banana I am really not going to be much help - I have zilch willpower and I get so excited and I would be convincing you to do something you are trying ever so hard not to. I have to say that I think I am different to most ppl here though, at the minute i find a bfn easier than af appearing. So i do like to be prepared that af is going to show up. I have all my fingers crossed for you though - It is so nice to hear of others bfp even when you don't have one yourself as it does give me hope

autonomousplum · 11/05/2015 15:52

banana here's your to-do list.

  1. Do not leave work until you've discusses the resurgence of the libdems with one of your colleagues AND checked the photocopier for paper even though it isn't your job. Also wash any unwashed cups in the kitchen and make the cleaner's day.
  2. En route home stop by Tesco and look for a fresh pomegranate seed and mango salad. This might take some time.
  3. When you get home, turn on the Internet and sponsor a puppy/kitten from your local rspca or animal shelter.
  4. Bake a batch of coconut milk raspberry cupcakes. This might require you to go back tot the shops for coconut milk and or raspberries. If you have them in your fridge you're superposh you need to bake saffron plum cupcakes instead.
  5. Wash the kitchen floor for a change woman!
  6. Tell your do you're desperate to watch David Attenborough on seagulls and make popcorn.
  7. Do not under any circumstances go to the loo. If you need to pee, do it in the garden. Don't go near the nettle patch and mind the snails.
  8. This should take you to at least 10pm, upon which you shall conduct an extra lengthy dental hygiene session by flossing at least three times, brushing twice, and scrubbing your tongue. Do all this at the kitchen sink.
  9. Go to sleep. Now. Immediately. Do not pass the pissy sticks go!
10. Canoodle for a bit of you wake up in the night. 11. Look it is morning! Now you can poas! Don't fall over your own feet getting there remember. No good lying bleeding on the bathroom floor at 5am. Hmm
BananaRaces · 11/05/2015 15:58

birchy thanks for the crossed fingers, it's really so lovely to have support.

autonomous that post was genius! You completely distracted me for at least a few seconds, which is more than I have managed all day so far. Grin I shall share the cupcakes with you (of course).

MiissMartiin · 11/05/2015 16:20

ive been MIA! Still hanging in ladies im in the 2ww now.. af should be here in about 8 days! i kicked my addiction to opks and only did one this month! have i missed anything? ? xGrinx

polexiaaphrodesia · 11/05/2015 17:14

Hi everyone
Just checking in to see how you are all doing. I've been following over the last couple of weeks but trying not to obsess too much (yeah right!!)
This is my first month ttc after coming off the pill and I am pretty sure I ov'd on CD15 as had 3 days of cramps before then and a line on an opk that was very slightly lighter than the control line. I'm now on CD19 so I think I'm now in the 2ww (??) Anyway, I hate waiting and I am so bloody impatient so this is killing me! I'm going to be following the autonomousplum distraction plan for the next 2 weeks I think Grin

Pogmella · 11/05/2015 17:38

Banana go to the cinema- I am a person who totally fixates on things and gets really tunnel visioned- getting engrossed in a film (however bad!) helps me and it'll be bedtime once you're done :-)

BananaRaces · 11/05/2015 17:47

Pog that is a really good idea. I don't get home from work until about 7pm today, then I will cook dinner. By the time we get settled on the sofa there will only be time to watch a really engrossing film before bed. Then I will hit myself over the head with a large upright piano until I fall asleep Grin!

Pogmella · 11/05/2015 17:57

Engrossing like a suspense filled film noir classic is of course what I meant.... or I find the Thor films have their own particular rippling oiled up muscular appeal too!

BananaRaces · 11/05/2015 18:06

Pog, sorry that may have come out wrong - I only meant the last sentence as a joke (if that makes sense).

I think your idea is a very good one and a suspense-filled drama might be just what I need to distract myself until bed.

I just don't know how I will distract myself once I get to bed - hence the really bad piano joke...

Sorry (again), I'm not making sense, I'm a bit out of it!

TeenieDeenie · 11/05/2015 18:09

Remember thank you for the recommendation! I'll have a look this evening. The fact that this one stores your temp is handy, especially for the weekend! Smile

Oohhh Banana your symptoms sound, well exactly the way I was before my BFP... I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed tightly for you!!! Exciting!!!

Pogmella · 11/05/2015 18:12

I knew what you meant ?? I have no idea how I will cope when in the same boat- my v.unhealthy sleep tactic when worrying is usually a nice glass of Rioja and a hot bath, I think ttc is the best thing I've done for my body in years.....

Pogmella · 11/05/2015 18:19

Oh my smileys didn't work! Smile How am I socially awkward in every medium...! Hope you get a good nights rest one way or another Banana

ZippyBoo · 11/05/2015 19:16

16 days late now. Countless negative HPTs. 1 negative blood test and still no sign of AF. I'm getting obsessed with peeing on sticks and searching google for answers.

I have an appointment with my GP on Thursday morning.

parsnipbob · 11/05/2015 19:34

Oh zippy sorry to hear that. Here's hoping the GP can help you.

Carltonlives · 11/05/2015 19:46

Hey guys! Sorry I've not been around, very very busy weekend, so tired now though and work to look forward to tomorrow

Welcome pogmella! Good luck to you! I don't think moderate drinking will have an adverse effect on the baby until it starts getting its nutrition from the placenta - maybe around 6weeks pg? (Not sure about that!)

Sorry for af dizzy and birchy :-( a mini break sounds like an excellent time to conceive though! I will defo see you on the June bus :-)

Fx for you oddly! 5 days late has to be a good sign right?! Hold out as long as you can to test so you get the strongest line possible

Sorry for the bfn babybump, perhaps ov was delayed due to extra stresses this month? The 2 cycles before my wedding I was 2 weeks late each time, we weren't trying then, so it must have been stress delaying things (I subsequently came on my period on honeymoon which was annoying!)

Fx banana! When are you going to test?

autonomous your distraction plan is awesome, I will definitely be doing that in a few weeks! Hang in there banana!!

Welcome polexia!! Will this be your first dc?

zippy I'm sorry. Have you tried ways to bring af on? Exercise or vigorous sex maybe? I hope you're not in limbo much longer.

So I'm on cd5 now and af has finally buggered off, had my first condomless dtd in almost 2 years last night which felt so weird!!! And also messy, I'd forgotten that it gets a bit messy haha. Should I go for every other day from now on? It seems very early in my cycle but I'm not temping or anything so just going on ovia's prediction for my fertile window atm

Brooke113 · 11/05/2015 19:47

Sending you a virtual hug zippy hope the gp can help you xx

Carltonlives · 11/05/2015 19:47

Wow sorry that was so long, feel free to skip - I'm pretty boring haha

BananaRaces · 11/05/2015 20:00

Carlton - I'm going to test in the morning I think. It's only 11dpo, so a bit early, but AF is due tomorrow and I don't think I can wait any longer. If I use FMU hopefully it'll be ok...

Good luck for Thursday zippy, let us know how it goes. Thanks

Sarah563 · 11/05/2015 20:08

Dizzy sorry for AF Sad. Fx for next month

Woolly84 · 11/05/2015 20:10

zippy how horrible being in limbo, I hope Thursday brings some answers Flowers

banana eek excited for you!! Good luck for the morning!

autonomous haha love the distraction plan! Grin

carlton every other day sounds like a good plan. And yes it is messy isn't it?! Confused

CD15 here and 5th day of flashing smiley on CB OPK, where is that damn static?! Hmm Really hoping temp ramps up soon to show ovulation even if OPKs don't!

Sarah563 · 11/05/2015 20:10

I'm thinking of going to get blood tests. I'm told you need to have them taken on CD5 and CD21. Does anyone know what hormones they are looking for and how that is different that the Ovulation sticks? thanks girls

Pogmella · 11/05/2015 20:56

Carlton it is weird isn't it!

Got invited to a gin tasting next Friday and had to make an excuse as hoping to be on the 2ww by then...
