Ladies, great info on temping! If AF arrvies this month i'll def try temping next month! Although I do move around a lot in my sleep and would need to stretch to get where the thermometer would be...not sure if this would disrupt it!

I have to stretch out of the bed to get my thermometer Sarah and it hasn't made a difference :) As long as it's just your arm and you do it quickly. Otherwise we would all have to sleep with the thermometers in the bed!

Great info on the temping ladies. I started this cycle and I also think it's great.

I'm feeling utterly fed up and should really stay away from Google...so although I got my smiley face on Monday, and have continued to get Ewcm since, apparently this could mean I havnt ov'd this cycle, I feel like my bodies given up on me, I don't know whether to continue to dtd every other day for as long as we can,poor dh I'm wearing him out, I think.he was hoping for a break.now :(.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted in here for ages I have been on the bumsnet thread a bit and it's hard to keep up with everything.

Trixie have been looking out for you to see how you are getting on. Hope your tests go well and you can get started with treatment soon.

Unfortunately it wasn't good news from our trip to Prague and first ivf. It seemed to go fairly well. We had 6 mature eggs collected and all 6 fertilised and all still going on day 3. On day 5 there were 2 good looking blastocysts to transfer and they gave us about a 50% chance of it working but unfortunately we found out last week that it didn't work It's panicked me a bit now as we felt so positive about it all and have a great time in Czech but I'm now wondering will it ever work at all. We are hoping to go for another try in the next couple of months but will have to start all over again as we didn't have any suitable for freezing. It's a very hard process.

I keep banging on about it but this is why I advocate temping as that way there's no ambiguity about if you've ovulated or not - you can see for sure if you have or haven't ovulated. Cervical mucus and OPKs alone are not hugely reliable as your body can gear up to O and thus produce the LH surge and fertile cm but not actually IYSWIM.

Not saying that's what has happened to you though, but good to be aware it can happen...

brooke I got ewcm really late in my cycle this time. Not sure why, I wasn't temping so don't know which day I ovulated either but just wanted to let you know that it does happen sometimes

Sooooo, I woke up to AF this morning! CD1 for me. That makes this last cycle 31 days, and the previous one was only 27 days. So how do I work out which day I would test?

I believe the advice is usually to wait until you are late according to your longest cycle but that can be tough to do!

Brooke sorry you're feeling down I agree with parsnip that opks and ewcm are not reliable factors to determine ov. Only temping will determine ov. However, as you're not temping can you carry on dtd whilst you still have ewcm?

Carlton I never test until I'm two weeks late. I'd rather have AF arrive than see a negative test. With DD I tested on day 43 and I had a long cycle in January do tested on day 42 and AF arrived the next day!

Well fx you are so late you get to test and see a lovely strong bfp dizzy! With my first I think I was around 2 weeks late when I tested too, only because I had so much else going on I wasn't really thinking about it!

I was waiting for af to arrive, this will be our first proper cycle of ttc! Chuck out the condoms haha! I'm ridiculously excited, I think I'm building myself up too much for a bfp on my first cycle. I'm being completely stupid I know.

Brooke you're going through the exact same thing as me... I got my static smiley on Sunday morning, I've still got ewcm and have also been cramping for the past 4 days. I also usually get really sore nipples after ovulation and I haven't got that either, so am now thinking that I haven't ov'd this cycle. Think I'll continue to dtd eod for the next week or so then give OH a break.

Excellent plan night. I tried grapefruit juice this cycle but it didn't make a difference. Although that's probably due to the stress I've been under. I will be trying EPO next cycle. Have some lurking in the cupboard. Might get the CB dual hormone opk as I only get a smiley on cd13 so it may predict peak days for me.

So glow is predicting my next period to start 5th June, which is a 30 day cycle (I guess it averages?) so I think I will go with 6th June as my bfp due date (31 day cycle like this time). I think this cycle was unusually long for me, so if I don't get pregnant this cycle af is more likely to catch me before I test

Will you be using opks or temping carlton? I use Fertility Friend and it predicts a luteal phase of 14 days so it predicts AF to be 14 days after ov.

Definitely going to give temping a try next cycle, then I won't feel in limbo and if I'm not ovulating, find out why. Thanks girls for your encouragement :)

I'm going to just see how it goes this cycle dizzy, I might look into temping next time if it doesn't happen this time. I'm usually pretty regular, don't know what happened this month tbh
