Thanks oddly and woolly. I'm just wondering what's going on with my body but I'm assuming I am ovulating as I've had a real period (correct me if I'm wrong though, I'm not very clued up!). I'm thinking I might go to doctors (assuming AF arrives in the next few weeks) just to say about coming off the pill, wondering about my fertility etc.

parsnipbob · 05/05/2015 15:37

Sarah if you've only just come off the pill it may be a while yet before you're back to normal

parsnipbob · 05/05/2015 15:38

And also you can have a period and not be ovulating - it's called anovulatory bleeding and is indistinguishable from a real period unfortunately, unless you're temping and can see if ovulation occurred.

Woolly84 · 05/05/2015 15:55

sarah have you just come off the pill only recently? If so yes as parsnip says it can take a little while for things to get going again from what I've read, I'm sure it'll be fine x

parsnipbob · 05/05/2015 16:04

Sorry if I sound brusque btw am typing on phone :)

sarah1391 · 05/05/2015 16:25

Thanks parsnip and woolly. I am too parsnip so sometimes I'll be the same! Yes I came off the pill the end of Feb, had my normal pill bleed and then my real period started 10th Apr. So I'm hoping I'm back to normal!

parsnipbob · 05/05/2015 16:32

Wouldn't worry too much Sarah, would definitely expect irregular periods for a little while after the pill. Just DTD and wait and see :)

sarah1391 · 05/05/2015 16:34

Thanks parsnip Smile I'd love to get a BFP soon but I'm prepared for it to take a while (especially with DP working away for weeks at a time!)

parsnipbob · 05/05/2015 16:36

Well you never know, my friend's sister managed it the first month after she came off the pill :)

wishiwaspregnant · 05/05/2015 16:39

What are these FRER tests people are using? I can't find any info online when I google? Are they special extra sensitive pregnancy tests or something?
My update is that DH has upped his game! I'm leaving it to him to initiate now as he likes to be more in control (you gotta let men think it's THEIR idea...) So I'm just skipping round the house in my skimpy undies all the time now!!! Hairdressers and beautician tomorrow! Hehe!
Fx for you night maybe birch odly and anyone else I've missed who are testing over next few days!!!

loopylou1984 · 05/05/2015 17:28

I have missed so much I can't even begin to catch up :(.

But wish, frer is first response early result :).

Hi to everyone new! Did I miss any BFPs?

I've booked a private HyCoSy. For Thursday lunch time! Eek! Dh not around so might have to go by myself. Ironically I've come home to find my nhs appointment letter for 7th September! Xx

Hairstylisttoboris · 05/05/2015 18:11

Oh sammy good luck for Thursday. How are you feeling about it? Can your mum of a friend go? I'm sure you'll be find by yourself but it's always easier with company.
wish I like your style. You can sometimes by Frer tests on offer at boots or super drug or tesco. They can be privy unless on offer.

I'm going home by train today. DH has to collect a ballot box for Thursday and apparently IT won't balance on his bike.

loopylou1984 · 05/05/2015 18:16

I'm ok actually, the lady on the phone was so nice and so relaxed that it made me feel the same.
I might ask my mum, even if it's just so I don't have to worry about finding somewhere to park. Dh wants me to have her there in case I need a cuddle. Xx

nightandthelight · 05/05/2015 18:21

Exciting news Sammy! Definitely recommend taking your mum :)

great news Sammy good luck!

maybe - have you retested yet...?

pulpi · 05/05/2015 18:45

So I'm 7dpo and I've been poking my cervix to check for changes. Not hard, but not soft, which I don't think counts as just right. Boobs are sore, but not oh my god that waft of air nearly killed me sore. Essentially, I'm looking for any indication I'm pregnant before I poas. Because let's face it, 7dpo is too damn early...

... unless I ovulated really early this month (which would be in line with previous months being on the shorter side), in which case I could be more than 7dpo.

To wee or not to wee, that is the question.

Hairstylisttoboris · 05/05/2015 19:04

pulpi

Hairstylisttoboris · 05/05/2015 19:06

pulpi let's try this again. Restrain thyself girl. 7dpo is about 3-5 days to early. At 7dpo any egg may be about to try nestling into you and it takes a further three days for the chemicals to rise to a detectable level. It's hard but step away from the sticks.

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 05/05/2015 19:12

oddly I have re-tested. Will post a photo when I can work out how to do it!

pulpi · 05/05/2015 19:13

You're right hairstylist. Needed the virtual smack upside the head. Cheers!

Hairstylisttoboris · 05/05/2015 19:14

pulpi anytime :)

TeenieDeenie · 05/05/2015 19:15

Eek! Maybe I'm on my phone, please also type out your test outcome!!!!! Smile

DizzyMerry · 05/05/2015 19:17

Oh so excited to see the pic maybe.

Great news sammy. Good luck for Thursday.

Pulpi way too early!

parsnipbob · 05/05/2015 19:18

Ooh let's see maybe!!
