I am 9dpo and past few days been feeling sick only thing to sooth it is food Also have tender breasts and cramps, I'm worried as I have my smear appointment tomorrow and I'm worried encase I'pregnant

Hi Charms. Just mention it to the Practice Nurse before the test, or ring the surgery first thing and ask to speak to nurse if your appt is later on in the day. They might be able to do a pregnancy test in the surgery (some places do). Or you can do a test at home.
A smear is not usually done during pregnancy, NOT because it can be harmful, but because the result can be affected by the hormone levels. If you are pregnant then you will go on the screening suspended list until at least 3 months after the end of the pregnancy.
If your symptoms are your period coming, then again not ideal time for smear.
If you do not want to discuss this with your surgery, then just ring and postpone the appt for a couple of weeks (say you are not well enough to attend) a bit ironic that, too poorly to go to the doctors, but you know what I mean as in 2 weeks time you should know one way or the other if you are pg and can do whatever you need to. Just let the surgery know first thing so they can offer the appt to someone else, or the nurse can get a welcome coffee break for once!

First off, it won't do any harm if you are pregnant. I would postpone it though. At our surgery they ask you to have a smear test mid-cycle (around time of ovulation) because it gives a more reliable result.

Reschedule for a couple of weeks time, you'll know for sure by then.

Before I got my BFP with DD1 I had a smear test done and bled after it and then my AF was late, I found out I was pregnant about 5 weeks or so and my results come back abnormal.
