Heir, I would not have spoken so directly had I just started a paid job. I didn't shout or anything; I was stunned, though, that she was daft enough to think I would go the extra mile whilst not being paid and with a tot at home. I told her I would be happy to make the necessary adjustments to my travel times once I am in paid work, but until then, there was no way. I didn't feel it was fair of them to ask and I told her that. She later offered to tweak my start and end times to fit around the trains!

I have to say it is gratifying to set your stall out early; they know you can't be fucked with. I am generous with my time and I have a great work ethic and they will see that when they take me on properly.

Purdie Good for you for standing up for what you believe in and not getting walked over, I used to take any old crap when i was younger but the last 6 to 7 years i have noticed that i stand up for myself and don"t mince my words, you get more respect and dont get trodden on !!, sometimes i wonder how i get away with the things i say!!

Hi all! I'm so sorry, but I have only skim read. I have had a really awful few days at work, but I've just had a long conversation with my parents, who are amazing and have talked me through everything, so I feel heaps better now and ready to face the day again tomorrow. Really helps when my DH is out working every night and I am in on my own. I really should talk to my mum and dad more often.

Purdie and Queenie Thanks for asking about my boy dog. He is still limping He's not even putting his foot down when he walks. He is back at the vet for a check up next Tuesday- I'm just not sure where they will take it from here.

DizzyM, FF have correctly pinpointed ov, in my opinion. Is this your first month charting? I would hate to ov on the same day as the positive opk. What fucking use is that?? Grr.

Thanks purdie. I had a positive opk last month on cd13 but wasn't temping then. Dtd on cd13, 14 and 15.

Dizzy I would suggest you're leaving sex until it's largely too late. You need sperm in situ at least for the two days preceding ov and kn the day itself. The day after is a good idea too as the egg can live 24 hrs. I reckon you'll be preggo as soon as you start timing sex right.

Chops Agree with you about humans being rubbish at reproduction. I thought I was supposed to be at my fertility peak - never been on any hormonal contraceptives, relatively healthy and I still can't get knocked up. I also have eczema, weirdly enough, Fairy Liquid sets off an allergic reaction too - terrible.

Sorry if I have missed anyone or if any of my messages are massive out of date. I have started yet another project so will be rather busy this week. I think I need to keep throwing myself into things to distract me from TTC. It's pretty all-consuming which is exhausting.

Thanks for your input purdie you're a real star. Will start dtd earlier next cycle. I'm rather disappointed though as we've dtd 3 days in a row and yesterday I was exhausted and it all seemed forced. We didn't enjoy it much either.

Ha ha Purdie - I promise, no bit on the side here! The GP did say that it could have just been a bad sample which is why they have suggested a repeat. Still I hope it goes to show there is always hope!
