Purds you need to do what's right for you and your family, if you're missing her too much then it's not worth it & if you're no better off financially what's the point? A part time shift would be ideal - get some extra dosh but still able to spend more time with Nancy without losing out on the other benefits. It's hard to weigh up what to do for the best but you'll figure it out

Purdie I think going by what you have said in the past that a job of some sort would probably be very beneficial to you in terms of the independence, time away from baby groups etc. However it doesn't have to be the IT job and it doesn't have to be full time. You have a young baby and you want to spend time with her, nothing wrong with that (after all that's what we are all aiming for here!) :)

Does anyone else get very vivid dreams about their exes at around 7dpo, happens every cycle :(

queen, lp is between 12-16 days for normals so count backwards from 35 to reach an approximate ov. Then test with opks 3 days beforehand.

purdey part time work sounds much better hun. My bestie has recently taken on a paper round for a tiny bit of pocket money and to get her out of the house and away from cbeebies. She's gonna get a proper part time job after the youngest starts school in Sept though. Sometimes its just not worth both parents working though due to cost of childcare. My friend gave up work when eldest dd was just over one as her wages equalled childcare.So last 7 years she's been SAHM.

I didn't wake up at 5.30am to take my temp for the first time in three months.

It is joyous right? Juners I hate temping... Were you up late last night texting hence the sleep in?!

Lots going on that I have missed.
I live in literally the arse end of no where with our house and farm being the only bit of civilisation for literally 5 miles. Then it's the nearest village (about 4 houses and a tiny school) then 21 miles to the nearest town........and I've had no Internet connection for days. It's been hard. My teenage dd has barely survived.

I will try to catch up but I've got no chance really so I hope everyone is doing OK, hopefully I've missed some bfps and af has left you all well alone.

I'm on cd 14, how are my cycle buddies boris I think and I can't for the life of me remember who else.

Also our 2 cats have just had 4 kittens each. So cute but is it ok to hate them a bit because they only have to brush past the local tom and they're impregnated......

I love the idea of a travelling bumsnet fertility aiding bus. Sounds great. I'm crap at retaining information though so the best advice I could offer anyone would be to keep on shagging and hope for the best. Maybe I can be tea lady instead....

purdie it's such a shame that the job isn't all you hoped it would be. You so wanted a break from the monotony of cbeebies. I agree a part time job would be ideal for you but unfortunately so many parents want part time hours they're hard to come by. Do you think you'll be able to stick it for the eight weeks just so it'll look good on your cv and make you more employable for a different job??

I've decided humans are rubbish at reproduction. Takes us ages to get upduffed, suffer from morning sickness, and aren't our pelvis's the wrong shape or something so its agony giving birth? Just rest of the animal kingdom just go on heat, get preg, go about their normal business and give birth quietly with no help. How did humans even survive and dominate the earth?!

Oh and they don't menstruate apart from dogs what's that all about?!

I agree chops it must be something to do with modern lifestyle that affects fertility or we would have died out a aaaaages ago. Perhaps us bumsnetters need to trial living like cavemen for a few months and we'll all get our bfps.

Hey sunny nice to have you back. melon is our third cycle buddy. Are you approaching ov? We've not dtd at all due to marital discord and my ill health. Wondering if I've missed the chance this month. Certainly haven't refreshed the spermies in a while. I'm not sure if feeling ill has upset my cycle. Either the illness or the drug have certainly changed my cm, it's sort of everything, wet, lumpy, tacky. Gah
