Is this something, nothing or too early to tell?

I'd so love some help on this! TTC for 9 months but only had 2 periods in that time. I think I ovulated 10 days ago (+ve OPK, loads of EWCM) and I did a FRER today. No line right away so I popped it in the bin. Just took another look (don't judge) and I think I see another line - faint, but pink. Do you think I left it too long to really look again, 8 hrs, or is this a positive?

I see something. Try not to get too excited.
Good luck. Do another in the morning?

FernGullysWoollyPully · 25/04/2015 17:54

There is a window of time that you have to read the test in. It's only minutes. So it's probably too soon to say but I'm wishing you lots of luck for a positive Smile

Iloveonionchutney · 25/04/2015 17:56

I'd do one in the morning and see what comes up in the time it says. Good luck and fingers crossed for you.

CuppaSarah · 25/04/2015 19:47

Do one in the morning, set a timer for 3 minutes and make sure you look after 3 minutes. Frer line take a while to come up when you're so early. Got my fingers crossed for you

Littlemisssunshine75 · 25/04/2015 20:11

Ime I've only ever had anything on a FRER when I've been pg, so I would say that's a +ve Grin
Please keep us posted!

Thanks so much for the support...I'm freaking out a bit here! My hubbie is insisting no test tomorrow and we wait for Monday which does make sense I guess - the old "a line's a line" isn't something he really gets. Will keep you updated!

I did the same and looked a few hours later and it looked exactly the same as yours. I'm now 8 weeks pregnant. Take another tomorrow morning. Good luck!

Rememberallball · 26/04/2015 08:19

At 8 hours it could well be an evap line, you're not supposed to read them after about 10 minutes.

Your DH has a good point in waiting 2 days as HCG levels double every 48 hours during the early weeks/months of pregnancy so, if you are expecting, then the line should show up more clearly.

chasingtherainbow · 26/04/2015 09:47

That line is too obviously pink to be an evap IME/ON ...

Give it two days and I'm betting you'll get a nice strong line. Good luck and a tentative congratulations x

Joey0805 · 26/04/2015 19:02

Thanks so much...I got a digital test too in case tomorrow's FRER is positive. Trying not to read too much in to yesterday's test but it's hard!

I did another FRER this morning and, again, it did take a little while for the line to come up. Now it's definitely darker than the 1 I did 2 days ago but still pretty light. I guess I do another in 2 days and maybe use the digital one then too?

Was the picture taken within the correct time frame? Cos if so I see a line Smile

Joey0805 · 27/04/2015 08:38

It wasn't; there was the 2nd line straight away but it was really light (and I ended up doing the test at 3.40am when I got up to pee - no phone in my bathroom!). It had then got a lot darker by the time I got up. This is all so confusing - I thought it would be so simple: pregnant or not pregnant!

These look just like mine did. Remember if your only 10-12 dpo with each test some people don't even get anything. If the line is pink and appeared in time frame then huge congratulations! They do get darker as they dry. Reckon you'll get a nice line by 14/15 dpo x

Metalhead · 27/04/2015 09:31

I'd say that's definitely a line, looks a lot like mine did at 10 dpo. Congratulations!

Go to savers and get one of the £1 cheap tests, they always showed a much darker line. The strips where you dip them in. Been right 6 times for me even when 2 doc tests came back negative

sebsmummy1 · 27/04/2015 11:15

I think people are being a little cautious OP. I have pissed on SO many sticks because of my very difficult TTC and multiple MC history and that is a positive pregnancy test. So I am going to say Congratulations and hope you have a wonderful pregnancy xx.

Waves at Metal while I'm at it Grin

FernGullysWoollyPully · 27/04/2015 11:16

I'm not understanding here, you've got 2 lines but are waiting for the second line to be darker? If the second line came up within the right time frame but was light it's still a positive. There's no need to wait for it to get darker, darkness of the line doesn't matter, the line being there is whats important.

Metalhead · 27/04/2015 11:29

(Waves back at sebs - hope you're doing ok!)

sebsmummy1 · 27/04/2015 11:35

I'm ok xx

Joey0805 · 28/04/2015 08:51

Digital test was positive, 1-2 weeks! Super early days but all massively exciting! Thanks so much for the help ladies and very best of luck to you all xxx
