Oh, Pikz, I'm sorry for AF. It's so unfair that you've got to cope with shingles Sad I thought your link for Sparkly was an excellent website.

Sparkly, how lovely that you managed a night out! I have no idea who Ben Whatsit is Hmm

My tot is 100% better, but no new teeth have appeared. I just don't geddit. After all that agony and wretched illness for over a week Sad

Sparkly Shock You do so well at keeping up with everyone. Is there anything we can do to help the next two weeks fly by? Smile

Oysterbabe · 25/04/2015 11:18

Boris your suffering is over now.

frogbubbles · 25/04/2015 11:19

MrF has buggered off to football for day and DS is off to "hang" with his chums highly likely a girl, as he has brushed his hair so I'm home alone, can't decide whether to work, decorate or go to allotment. Decisions, decisions

Sparkly123 · 25/04/2015 11:25

Pixa ha ha not really... Mammoth post sessions!! You can all provide some new BFPs that would be wonderful! Wink thanks! really though, there ain't much anyone can do is there.. Just need to keep strong and positive! Smile

Hairstylisttoboris · 25/04/2015 11:31

Please may I moan and hold my own pity party?

I'm still stuck in bed and sick.
Last night DH came home late from work and offered to cook dinner. He cooked rice, potatoes, refried beans and garlic bread. So four lots of carbs with no liquid. Quite hard to eat when your throat is swollen. And not what you need when sick. I tried to talk to him over dinner but he was monosylabalic and mostly played on his phone. He didn't even notice when I gave up and sat there crying. I've been stuck home alone for so long I just wanted company.

I had been due to meet up with old friends from back home today, haven't seen them in ages. It was a reunion chance for me to catch up. To be fair I'm Probably too sick to have gone. But, when they found out I was poorly a couple cancelled as they wanted to bring their tots and dont want their kids to get sick. so we cancelled. but it turns out they are still meeting together anyhow. So they are having a lovely afternoon without me. They who hang out regularly. I probably couldn't have gone anyhow but if made me feel shit.

Then my cats brought me a rat.

But oyster has found a way to end my pain :) x

Ok moan over. Off to read up on the rest of you. X

Pixa · 25/04/2015 11:31

Well, we are all most definitely sending you lots of love and positivity Sparkly Grin

Pixa · 25/04/2015 11:41

Oh Boris, I am so sorry that you are still ill. I genuinely wish I could have come over and made you tea last night. DPs/DHs often have a habit of forgetting when their support is needed. Sad Please feel free to rant away. Fingers crossed you can have a catch up with your friends soon.

It sounds like your cats tried to cheer you up by brining you a humongous gift. Smile

cremedecacao · 25/04/2015 11:42

Morning! (Yes, I really have just had breakfast)

Ibeka- I had Ofsted during a MC too!! You are right, it definitely stops you caring about Ofsted too! I was so pissed off that I had to come in (would have been at home crying otherwise) that I went in with invisible armour determined to make my presence worth it!

Mummyofonesofar · 25/04/2015 11:45

boris I am so sorry about your dickhead DH. And sorry your friends went on without you, it would have been nicer if they just rescheduled for when you are better! And about the rat. You are allowed a pity party, you're having it tough! Can we all come over and kick his arse for you?

Oysterbabe · 25/04/2015 11:48

Frog you could be me Smile
DP has gone to the saints game, decided the rain last night will look after the allotment for today so heading into work. My place doesn't understand the concept of helping out when someone's on holiday so doing masses of overtime to get ahead.

ibeka · 25/04/2015 11:48

Oh Bozza, you poor thing! At least the cats are looking after you Hmm DH needs a slap. I thought DP was bad at creating nutritionally balanced meals but that is a record! And as for phones at the dinner table.... Where is he today? Have you told him how upset you are about not seeing the friends from home? I'm really sorry you've missed the meet up. Have you told them how vital it is to you that it is rescheduled for soon? If it's any small consolation, you know I am in your home town and the weather is shite... Fix your mind on a rescheduled meet in the sun enjoying one of those places we talked about in PM... What are you doing to pass the sick days? Have you got a good box set? I started The Good Wife on NetFlix when house bound and found it a surprisingly distracting way to pass many hours.

oyster hands of our Boris! Seriously, though, your parents smallholding sounds great. I adore Devon. I did an outdoor leadership training course a few years ago that encompassed days and nights out on Dartmoor and I fell in love with it. Fortunately I've good friends in Oakhampton so get down there to visit a couple of times a year.

sammy and sparkly thanks for the pep talks. I'm up now. We're going to visit friends who have bought a house nearish ours that they are renovating. They are moving from the other side of London so it'll be nice to have them closer even thought they do have 2DC. Then we're going to test drive a car, which will be fun! The tonight DP's oldest friend who I have also known since a kid and love dearly is coming round for a film and delicious dinner I am going to cook curry.

pikz hope the shingles are healing up and you start to feel better... what a shitty way to start the month Flowers

Sparkly123 · 25/04/2015 11:50

Boris do you want us I mean Purdie to get the heavies in?! Your dh needs to realise how unwell you are! Have you tried talking to him about how you actually feel? Stupid I know but men sometimes need it spelled out don't they!! I understand you are upset to be missing going out with friends.. But remember there will be other times.. You will be back on your feet and ready to make plans again. This will pass, it's shit just now, but only temporary and you will be back go health again soon. It's easy to feel low when you are so unwell and stuck in the house, but keep focused on the fact you will grt better, this will end and you will be back out and about in no time. Then if dh is ever sick you know what to serve up to him! Wink

ibeka · 25/04/2015 11:53

Daisy I'm so very sorry to hear you lost your sister so recently.

creme I literally stood in front of my sixth form and said 'errr, you know what you should be doing, get on with it'. They were stars. The rest of the classes I was a bit more proactive with but not much - they knew something was wrong with me and responded beautifully by being model students. I was worried I'd be dragged in for an interview as I hold three TLRs but managed to escape. We were given a 3 in our last one so have had 2 years waiting and anticipating their return and working like demons to change wha they didn't like. All that prep and when they did come I just couldn't care less!!!

cremedecacao · 25/04/2015 11:56

Well done for getting through it! Your class sound amazing. It's a cliche, but it does but things in perspective. I was much more aggressive then I normally am, practically throwing evidence at them!

I teach Reception so had to carry on being super smiley and sparkly for the kids, which did help me to put a brave face on. Could not believe it when I got the call from my head, 5 minutes after I had rang the office to ask for a few days at home!

frogbubbles · 25/04/2015 11:58

Boris I'm a fan of the pity party. I'm so sorry you feel so rubbish. Your cat bringing you furry gifts made me chuckle. I hope your feeling better soon so you can meet up with your friends.

Oyster my long lost twin!! Smile I think I'm going to be working today. I'm self employed and so never ever get any "proper" time off and work most evenings which is crap but on the plus side I get to go to lots of meetings coffee or pubs dates with friends in the middle of the day, but sssshhh!! Don't tell MrF Wink I think I'll spend tomorrow at the lottie MrF will be hogging the tv for sports and it's highly likely he will be hungover from today lightweight

frogbubbles · 25/04/2015 12:01

Ooh Netflix program guaranteed to cheer you up is: The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt!!!

I love it, one of my fave shows!! I've just started the good wife Ibeka Smile

chopsface · 25/04/2015 12:04

Sorry you're still feeling so poorly Boris and quadruple carbs!? Omg! I wouldn't trust my dh in the kitchen either unless I was shouting instructions from my sick bed. And its really crap that you're missing your friends reunion. I hope you can see them soon x

Sorry to hear about the af's, what's going on? Where are all the bfp's?! This is not on. Best of luck for next month ladies and especially for a honeymoon baby from oyster

Hope your ov shows up soon night don't think I ever had an annov cycle so I can't help luvvie

Happy anniversary woolly! We just had a shite room above lamb n flag for our wedding night, hope yours was nicer! We sure ain't going back!

ibeka · 25/04/2015 12:04

My classes are pretty good. I'm lucky to teach a vocational option so get small classes of not very bright kids who want to be there and tend to enjoy the lessons. It certainly does put things into perspective though.

ThePug · 25/04/2015 12:07

Boris that all sounds so utterly crap. I am so sorry. I wish we all lived closer.

Sparkly - thank you for asking. Basically the medical management I was given on Tuesday did not work (despite having two doses), scan yesterday morning showed sac still there, but sitting very low, so I was told I could either keep waiting for my body to 'let go' which might be 2-3 weeks or book the erpc for Monday morning. I have gone with the latter. They got in a bit of a fluster as I'm diabetic and they usually just do the procedure in the EPU where they don't have access to insulin/glucose drips etc, so I have to go to the gynae ward for it in case I need any emergency care. I have just filled in a four page consent form for the general anaesthetic - one of the questions is 'Are you or could you be pregnant' - I have left it blank as I'm not sure what I'm meant to answer Hmm

Thank you melon , yokyil and everyone else for your flowers. The good news is I'm pretty sure now I don't have DVT silver linings . I'm meant to be in Vancouver right now though enjoying the sights before giving a seminar at a big conference on Tuesday, so just totally bummed out at how craptacular this weekend is actually going to be in comparison.

Mummyofonesofar · 25/04/2015 12:11

Really sorry Pug that you're having to go through with the procedure. And the anaesthetic form was awful. I don't think hospitals think sometimes!! Thinking of you x
