ibuprofen is fine before ov, it increases chance of miscarriage during and after implantation but doesn't change anything before ov.

Sparkly123 · 24/04/2015 15:30

Hi loves.

I'm just home! I didn't get taken till after 1pm and it was pretty slow...! Anyway..!!!
I'm in limbo. Still. Confused I'm feeling a bit blue which I know is ridiculous but I had myself built up to seeing a fetal pole and or heartbeat given Trunchpants said it very possible at six weeks.
So EPU- my consultation made trunchbull look good! Shock she had no idea why I was there, didn't ask a thing about the bleeding.. Just took lmp dates, my details etc. I asked why she didn't have my notes and about why I was there but she said she had been on holiday and hadn't seen Trunchpants... Eh?!?! Anyway.. I was quite clearly raging at this point! She then said her colleague would scan me and to go wait in the scan area...
Went to scan, had abdominal/pelvic first and she said she saw the gestational sac which was in the right place and she said it was a good round shape?!? Then she did dildocam and said she saw a yolk sac which measured 5.3mm? And she said that would roughly show 5wk 2days so what she sees on scan would be correct for that. She checked ovaries and and cervix on scan said both look fine. Ectopic is ruled out as sac in right place. And then said I now need to wait TWO WEEKS until another scan which can provide the fetal pole/heartbeat if all goes well. I was then sent to wait again before back to EPU nurse who explained some clinics offer a scan one week later but this healthboard will not and guidelines are two weeks. So that's that. I'm struggling with it. Two weeks?! Dh seems more positive after app as he said he was expecting to go back and be told there was no sac at all or it was ectopic. Where as I had built up that i was gonna see a fetal pole and possible heartbeat. Which is my own fault. So I now need to get through the next two weeks, I just don't know how!!

Sorry, usually I reply to everyone and catch up I just haven't had a chance to read back yet! Hope you are all ok Grin

Mummyofonesofar · 24/04/2015 15:34

Sparkly what about bloods? Do you get to see if they are still multiplying? It does sound positive - 5.3mm sounds a good size and it isn't eptopic. You have the sac, you are pregnant and your baby has grown. I know 2 weeks is a long time but that will be the best week you can see a heartbeat - surely it is better to wait and see one than have the heartache of maybe not seeing one next week? Sorry you feel so down Flowers

frogbubbles · 24/04/2015 15:36

Sparkly don't you worry about replying to everyone else. We've all been waiting for you lovely. It sounds good, two weeks is ok you can get through this x

DizzyMerry · 24/04/2015 15:41

Don't worry about replying to everyone sparkly you've clearly been through a lot and we have all been waiting for an update. It all sounds positive lovely. You're pregnant and your dates match up and your little bean is growing. That is excellent news. I know 2 weeks is an awfully long time to wait but I have every faith that this is going to work out well for you. There is no reason whatsoever to think otherwise after today. We are all here to support you over the next 2 weeks. You can do this Flowers

spinningirl10 · 24/04/2015 15:43

Sparkly, I think that sounds really positive yes? I think it would be too early for a heartbeat. generally it's about 7 weeks for hb. Did they take bloods? And could you pay for a private scan in a week? That may help you to be reassured and stop the limbo. Sorry you're feeling blue, I can understand that but things are as they should be for this stage and that's very positiveSmile

Hairstylisttoboris · 24/04/2015 15:47

sparkly it sounds like everything's as it should be for now. This must feel like some of the longest few weeks of your life! X

Queenbee30 · 24/04/2015 15:47

Boris you can take paracetamol and ibru together. Try alternating them so you something every 2 hrs rather than both every 4 hrs if that makes sense.

Oh sparkly sorry you're still in limbo but good news everything is looking as it should, right? Flowers

Sparkly123 · 24/04/2015 15:47

Thanks girls. Ok so you all seem to think this is positive! Ok that makes me feel better.. I feel like I'm worrying about worst case scenario cause of this bleeding! I'm so sorry to moan at you all about it- you guys don't need this I just don't know Who else to chat about it to!! They didn't do hcg etc they wouldn't do it

nightandthelight · 24/04/2015 15:50

Sparkly you are pregnant and your bean is growing as it should! This is great news and I am so happy for you lovely :) Easier said then done but try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy Flowers

Nomio230 · 24/04/2015 15:50

Sparkly, you are pregnant! All your tests are coming up positive, the sac was the right size and place, and they said your ovaries look fine. I think you can relax a bit now, lovely. Smile

Purdie, I am ok. CD12, so hopefully coming up to the interesting part of the month! I am so pleased Nancy is feeling better.

Lucie, that picture is incredible! Just think, those blobs could turn into people soon!

Woolly84 · 24/04/2015 15:53

sparkly that sounds very positive to me too! You're still preggo and everything is in the right place etc, it's just too early to see all that you were expecting - nothing wrong though lovely, you should feel positive about all this! So happy for you SmileFlowers

Hairstylisttoboris · 24/04/2015 15:54

Thanks night mummy and queen

Mummyofonesofar · 24/04/2015 15:58

I forgot to say i also took epo for the first time but only had it a few days from around CD11 to ov so dont think it could have made a difference.

MelonMelon · 24/04/2015 16:04

Sparkly I'm a renowned worrier and pessimiSt but I think that sounds really positive. You are pregnant Smile Just think of it as another 2ww but this time you'll get to see a heartbeat instead of a line on a pee stick!

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/04/2015 16:06

That sounds like good news to me sparkly, if there were any concerns surely they would have mentioned them? Did they give you any clues as to why the bleeding is happening so that you're reassured?

lucie fantastic news, and what a privilege to see nature at work like that! You must be so excited!

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/04/2015 16:10

Broken thermometer reckons my temperature, at mid day, after a sweaty 5 mile run in the sunshine, is 35.99 degrees!! Are you shitting me?! Fucking useless plastic bit of tat Angry

spinningirl10 · 24/04/2015 16:12

Ah Dizzy, get yourself a new one! It's deffo broken.

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/04/2015 16:22

I am actually considering buying an analogue Mercury one! They're a bit more expensive but as long it doesn't get dropped there shouldn't be any discrepancies.....

ThePug · 24/04/2015 16:25

Sparkly the right size, shape and location are all very positive Smile I think it is just too early to see anything else. More waiting is tough though - do you have many plans for the next two weeks that might help it go by quicker?

Sparkly123 · 24/04/2015 16:28

I feel like such an idiot as you are all so positive!! Can I ask a question- basically if there is a yolk sac does that confirm an actual baby ? Because my thought was that could all be there but no baby as such? I guess I feel totally all over place as the nurse was so bloomin' crap and pretty much didn't say one way or the other and discussed things like mmc etc.. Sorry all, I know you would all give anything to be in this position with a chance- I must be positive!

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 24/04/2015 16:29

sparkly that is brilliant news! x

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/04/2015 16:32

Sorry sparkly I don't know about yolk sacs, but do not apologise! You are super supportive to everyone on this bus and we're all here for you, we all want to see you get your baby, and so far it seems to be looking good for you! Smile. I can't totally understand why you're worried but you've not been told you're not pregnant, which means you ARE pregnant! Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/04/2015 16:33

*can understand lol

Pixa · 24/04/2015 16:34

Sparkly that sounds positive. Smile I will keep my fingers crossed that the next two weeks fly by happily and healthily. Smile
