confused! educate me ladies!

Hi ladies, im a newbie here!
Basically I'm ttc my last af was on March 20 for 6 days. My period was supposed to come either friday 17 or satuday 18 Apri, so I'm 2-3 days late. Im completely new to the all when to test, ovulate etc. I have an app which said i ovulated around 3rd-4th april and ever since iv been testing and it keeps giving me a BFN. Tested today morning and is still giving me a BFN but I'm having all symptoms which i haven't experienced before such as frequent urinations, extremely tired, lower back ache, some abdominal cramps (but not period cramps) every now and then, i feel bloated, hatred for some food i loved and getting cravings,

please tell me whats happening or if you've been through what i have and also educate me on when to test ovulation etc x

What method of contraception were you using prior to ttc? x

I used contraception mid january and fourth week got my af and then i stopped i didnt wana carry on and i havent used contraception before the patch and after the patch. And my af comes like normal
