Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

EWCM question. Does that happen on icing day?

Fleurchamp · 20/04/2015 12:15

Hi all, I mainly lurk, but here are my stats:

Name: Fleur
Age: 34
DC: none but incubating a cauliflower (27 weeks)
TTC: Oct '14 - did a kitten - but interesting about the smear test, I had one the month before conception.

Could be something in it?

jellypi3 · 20/04/2015 12:24

:( sorry stoat but at least she's here and your not waiting any more.

I'm having some weird fanjo feelings today.

DulcetMoans · 20/04/2015 12:26

I got so distracted defending the thread over there that I forgot to check in on the new one!

Name: Dulcet
Age: 29
DC: None but hoping for a successful new arrival in July.
TTC: February 2012 - Oct 2014 before this successful pregnancy including 2MCs. (longer summary for those that I hadn't met!)

Welcome to any new comers, hoping you find a home here too!

Bad news on the AF stoat. Treats lined up to help you through it?

Smear tests did seem to help a few threads back, didn't someone hear from a nurse that it could help as well?

fallenstar27 · 20/04/2015 12:38

Cake stoat, as jelly said at least the wait is over and you can focus on next cycle.

Wish mine would turn up, put a pad on this morning but think I might bin it and try some reverse psychology.

lildottie · 20/04/2015 12:42

stoat sorry about AF. sounds like you were a few days out on when you ovulated which isn't much so I'd say its good that your body is doing what its supposed to. Thanks

maemay · 20/04/2015 12:48

So,... my pant-snot smells funny... Not noticed this before.
Admittedly I didn't have a proper wash this morning, because I snoozed my alarm too many times in favour of more sleep!
So maybe it's just the normal scent of "unwashed-fanjo"!
but I really hope it's not an indication that something's wrong down there!

Sorry Stoat! Hoping AF is kind to you while she's there.

gaggiagirl · 20/04/2015 12:58

Sorry odd double post there

Lookingforadvice123 · 20/04/2015 13:05

Name: Looking (want to change my nickname actually - no idea how!)
Age: 27
DC: none, planning a pup in July if not pg by then
Started ttc: April 2015, first cycle, ad due Sunday eek!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 20/04/2015 13:06

Mae what does it smell of? I used to get bacterial vaginosis which was fishy yet musty. Regular unwashed vag can smell a bit fishy but not unpleasantly so and generally a bit fruity or honeyish as well. Also, if you've had a jizz bomb up there it can smell a bit chemical. Like cleaning products mixed with fruit/honey.

stoat it sounds like your cycle is sortit ng itself out. Onwards! Flowers

maemay · 20/04/2015 13:18

It's not the regular fishy smell so maybe it's remnants of the jizzbombs!

maemay · 20/04/2015 13:18

By which I don't mean mine regularly smells fishy. I DO normally wash!!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 20/04/2015 13:22

All fanny's smell a bit fishy... I noticed s different smell after I got my IUD. Jizz smell changes too. If it is really unpleasant or greyish see the nurse. That's the BV symptoms. I got that once in awhile from lubes I think. My fanny is a right picky madam.

SockQueen · 20/04/2015 13:39

Prompted by the other thread, where I was promised you're all lovely (Wink) I'm very tentatively coming in to say hello!

Name: SockQueen
Age: 30
DC: None
TTC: Since Oct 14.

My cycle is still totally erratic since coming off the pill in July last year - currently on day 95 with multiple BFNs, but have had them as short as 23 days previously. Had some bloods taken last week for ?PCOS/hyperprolactinaemia, and am going to the GP on Friday to talk them through. Not sure whether I want there to be something "wrong" on there as that means there's a problem (but it might be treatable) or for them to be all "normal" which should be reassuring but isn't really!

Twinklestar2 · 20/04/2015 13:46

Popping my head in to add my support (have posted on the thread in Chat too) and to wish everyone a BFP soon. Thanks

lildottie · 20/04/2015 13:47

hi sock!
tink had a prolactinoma thingy but she hasn't been around for a while. hopefully she'll pop back soon and you guys can compare notes! from what she said I think treatment was tablets.
tink come see u soon, we miss u!
as for erratic cycles after bcp I feel your pain! mine were all over the place. I even had a 7week AF in the first few months! it makes booking the blood tests a pain in the arse too!

fallenstar27 · 20/04/2015 13:47

Hi sock!

Ooft, cd95? Now I feel bad for moaning about cd40 today. Let us know how you get on with the dr on Friday.

lildottie · 20/04/2015 13:47

thanks twinkle x

MelonMelon · 20/04/2015 14:26

Lurker popping on to give you all a perv netball team-esque high 5 and smack on the behind. You ladies have made me smile in the darkest times of ttc!

lildottie · 20/04/2015 14:32

hi melon, don't be a stranger. we're always here if u need to vent! Thanks

this business of the other thread and realising again that we have lurkers got me thinking. do you think mnhq ever waste hours of their lives reading and laughing at the shit we post on here? I never really think of anyone but us reading it but of course its an open forum for the whole world to see! its made me think I want to work for me when I grow up! Grin

jellypi3 · 20/04/2015 14:39

hey sock welcome :) hope you decide to stick around! we honestly aren't that bad just filthy dirty at times Wink I hope your GP appointment goes well. I've always had a niggling suspicion I have got PCOS (i have a number of symptoms except the erratic periods). Not sure if you can ovulate regularly with PCOS? lil?

tink i miss you too (if you are lurking here and read this). Hope you can pop by and let us know how you are!

car is packed up ready for the drive to wales!

lildottie · 20/04/2015 15:34

jelly I'm sending you a seriously whopping great hooya!

maemay · 20/04/2015 15:54

Soooo bored at work today viroids!
I get the munchies when I'm bored so I've been working through my snack drawer - I think maybe I ought to fill up my snack drawer with healthy snacks rather than chocolate and crisps!
I think I've stopped being able to tell the difference between actual hunger and just boredom-eating!

jellypi3 · 20/04/2015 16:11

aww what's my hooyah for?!?
