Hello
any fellow night workers trying to conceive? seriously considering switching to day work as I'm either too tired to dtd or working when im most fertile. throw in two boys to look after and I'm knackered. I know this isn't ideal for ttc so was looking for advice on how others cope with being nocturnal Smile

Oh my goodness I was just about to post a "TTC on nights" post!!

I'm a nurse and have spent the last 3 weekends on shift!! Positive OPK yesterday when I got in from night work and new I should be ovulating this weekend .... DH wasn't for anyof it .... Managed to lure him though!

I was thinking more of how on earth can I keep my caffiene I take down .... Seriously struggling lol

I'm getting more and more desperate each month after ttc for 9 months now. My eating and sleeping patterns are seriously messed up. Add my Co worker who's about to go on maternity Confused how do you manage to eat properly, I seem to guzzle coke and eat complete rubbish as I'm asleep at tea time so come 12 am I'm starving x

Morning! Or should I say good evening as I settling down to a bowl of porridge post nights.. Im a nurse too :)
The other issue I have is, my OH is a nurse also - working privately for a man who flies all around the world and can be away for 2 - 3 weeks at a time.. Make things 10x harder..
ONE brief window of opportunity this month.. although thankfully we arent actively trying - the pressure is seriously going to mount then, so I feel your pain!! x

I'm in the end of my fertile window and back to back nights just aren't doing me any favours. Last one tonight for a few days but it'll be too late then. I'm going to do some serious planning ahead and shift swap without telling people the real reason Wink I conceived my 2 DS before I worked nights so I have no idea what I'm doing x

I had to force DTD yesterday as knew I was in the window!!! I was not feeling my most sexy I have to admit!!

I don't know how nights affect anything!! Not got another set of 8 weeks now so fingers crossed c

I do a mix of day and night shifts and I'm sure it's not helping my currently crazy menstrual cycle (just started investigations for possible PCOS). I can't stop nights though, so I guess I'll just have to hope that I can fit DTD in around it!
