Do you like feeling left out of a group? Do you enjoy being marginalised and isolated and picked-on? How about a good bullying? If so..you're in t'wrong place, cock, coz this 'ere is the TTC thread where you feel loved, embraced, encouraged, wanted, lusted after, admired, respected, thought-of with fondness, missed when you're away. We will even put up with your lazy, selfish bastard of a husband who would rather watch Chelsea romp through the Premiership than put a baby in your tum-tum.

Absolutely any old slag welcome, unless you already have a baby in your tum-tum and we're about as familiar with you as a condom. You can get lost Smile

t'STATS, innit

frogbubbles · 16/04/2015 17:29

Nothing much to update, 4DPO few twinges, probably nothing. On way home swung by home bargains to stock up on the IC tests 79p for 3. Obs won't be using them until 14DPO I will hold out this month

Pixa · 16/04/2015 17:33

Yes, easy Glittery. They look beautiful. I really want to give cake lace a go - It looks so simple.

Nomio230 · 16/04/2015 17:36

Of course you will, Frog! I tell myself that every month.

Babs, massive congratulations!

We are back from seeing the consulatant. He has given me another 6 months of Clomid, 100mg this time. He told me that most people end up conceiving on 100mg, I so am quite excited. He also prescribed me some progesterone suppositories. He pointed out that there is no evidence they help with luteal phase, but agreed when I said that there was no evidence they don't either. He said it won't do any harm, so was happy to prescribe.

I am now £300 poorer, but feeling a bit hopeful. Between the meds & the gym, I am really hoping I will get my bean soon!

spinningirl10 · 16/04/2015 17:39

Nomio, your appointment sounds like a success and well worth the £300. Yay for clomid and the progesterone. Hoping you'll soon get your bfpSmile

Glittery, love the cakes. They'll be such fun to make........get your knickers back on!!Grin

Purdey, fab temp rise you have thereSmile

Nomio230 · 16/04/2015 17:46

Thabnks, Spinning.

Glittery, those cakes look amazing. I would be very happy if someone made them for my birthday.

babsbunny · 16/04/2015 17:49

Nomio, that sounds like a good result x

frogbubbles · 16/04/2015 17:55

Ha ha Nom I am such a failure, the POAS will most likely start on 7DPO I'm too impatient!!

Your appointment sounds like it was a massive success. I have my fx you get your little bean very soon.

DizzyMerry · 16/04/2015 17:56

Nomio great news about the clomid and prog suppositories. Just out of interest didn't you need to have any tests before the clomid was prescribed? Will they be monitoring your cycles now whilst you are on clomid?

loopylou1984 · 16/04/2015 17:56

Wow it's been busy this afternoon. Will read back properly on the PC later but:

Sparkly - woo for rising hcg, will the days away for you.

Purdey - sorry if the interview didn't go as you'd hoped.

I don't think we'll get to dtd tonight, dh has had a rubbish day and won't be home until gone 10 and is shattered. I've told him it would be ideal, but I fear if I push it then he might not be able to perform anyway. We dtd late last night, so if I've ovd today then some spermies should have been there waiting right? Xx

Nomio230 · 16/04/2015 18:03

Dizzy, this is my second time on it. I was first prescribed it 6 months ago but was only on 50mg.

Sammy, I agree that tonight would be good, but there should still be lots of wriggling sperms up there. Try not to worry too much.

ibeka · 16/04/2015 18:03

sparkly I'm feeling positive about you.... I think it's great the uterus lining looks healthy. I wonder where the blood is coming from... FX for the next ten days. The waiting is torture, I know, but it will pass eventually!

babs congratualtions!

purds what happened at the interview?

So I'm back from the hospital... I definitely have TPO anti-thyroid antibodies. This means any pregnancy I have is around 50% likely to miscarry. It also means I'm at greater risk of pre-term birth, still birth and neonatal death and post natal thyroid problems. Cheery, eh? At the moment the treatment is..... nothing. There is some evidence that taking thyroxine can improve outcomes, and that is what the trial I've been asked onto is looking at. I have three months worth of tablets that are either thyroxine or a placebo. It seems this is my only way of possibly getting thyroxine, I wouldn't be prescribed it just because of the antibodies. I'm not sure whether it's worth my while phoning a private obstetrician to see if they would, but the obs who is monitoring me for the trial seemed to think not as it is not an approved/fully tested treatment. DP's reaction when I text him about all this (and I quote) "Oh babe, we'll just have to keep going. Love and hugs." Wish I could have that reaction!!

ibeka · 16/04/2015 18:04

Oh, and apparently 15% of women have these antibodies, most without even knowing!! It is something they test for in the after-three-MCs tests but otherwise there are no signs...

babsbunny · 16/04/2015 18:27

Oh ibeka. I'm sorry for your news. I hope something good comes out of the trial X

Nomio230 · 16/04/2015 18:37

Ibeka, I am so sorry to hear that. How are you feeling? Terrified I imagine. It must be a lot to get your head around. I really hope you are on the real drug, not the placebo.

Would they provide extra support once you were pregnant now that they know you have this problem? For example, more scans.

chopsface · 16/04/2015 18:43

Sorry you got bad news ibeka I hope they can do something for you x

Sorry about the job interview purds

sparklypants I can't imagine what you're going through right now but I'm still here routing for you and your bean x

Hairstylisttoboris · 16/04/2015 18:55

Oh ibeka I'm sorry, that must be hard news to receive. Hope you are not on the placebo. Big hug to you tonight. Are you at work at the moment?

nomio I also want to ask dizzym question - what tests / previous did you have to go through to get that? Or can you just ask?
