Hello there everyone,

My name is Sophie and I am 19 years old and I work in a claims department in car insurance. I am currently ttc with my partner. We both know that we want to eventually have a family but found ourselves at the hospital a few weeks ago telling us that I had severe cysts on my ovaries that we're almost blocking my fallopian tubes and that we may not have too long to be able to have a family. We used this news as a bit of a nudge into the right direction. I understand that some people may be thinking that I am very young to be making this decision but I believe that it couldn't be a better time to make this decision, as we are financially stable and have done a lot of things that we have wanted to.

I am coming here to get a little bit more help from you lovely ladies (and gents) on tips with dealing with TTC with severe PCOS. I haven't had a period in 2 months and before that was 10 months without one so have no idea when I'm supposed to be ovulating.

Any kind advice would be appreciated!

Sophie x

Hi Sophie

I have variant of PCOS which resulted in no periods for a year after coming off the implant (which ironically I now know I never needed...).

Are the hospital offering you any further tests or treatment or asking you to see how it goes?

I would advise temping. You can buy the correct type of thermometer on amazon for next to nothing and a quick Google will tell you how it works. also try investing in some ovulation test kits. That combined with temping should help you work out if and when you ovulate.

I ended up on Clomid which has been great but all my tubes were clear. They may say it's worth a shot!

Good luck and let me know if you need any more info Thanks

ps. if I'd know I would have trouble ttc earlier (found out at 25, now 26), I would have started ttc earlier so don't worry about what others think!
