bubble78 · 09/11/2006 22:57

well ds is 3 and a half and we been trying since august how about you?

Trinityrhino · 09/11/2006 22:59

we started trying when dd1 was nearly 3 and a half, took a year

Scissorhands · 09/11/2006 23:59

I have been trying for years. I know its late but can I ask a couple of questions. If date of last period was 25 October then what would you calculate most fertile date as?
Also is age a huge factor?

mamama · 10/11/2006 01:49

If you have a 28 day cycle, aren't you most fertile for 3 days around the 14th day?

So, if the 1st day of your last peroid was oct 25th, I think you'd be ovulating around the 7th, 8th & 9th of November. Does that sound right?

I don't know how much of a factor age is in ability to convceive.

octobermum · 10/11/2006 07:45

when dd was 10mth (nov 04) and still ttc once m/c in june this year.

Flamesparrow · 10/11/2006 08:00

When DD was 2. I was wanting a 3 yr age gap minimum... ended up with just under 3 yrs between them

If I'd found it hard to concieve first time round I would have started trying earlier and just taken my chances with the age gap though.

elliepmummy · 21/11/2006 09:08

I came off pill when dd was 9 months but didnt actively start trying till around 11/12 months fell pg 5 months later but had m/c but left it for 3 months as per drs instructions and fell pg 1st month of trying am now 32 weeks so there will roughly be a 2.5 year gap when dd2 arrives!!

ScotGirlInOz · 21/11/2006 14:00

hi littlepiggie

i am not TTC 2nd DC as yet, but hopefully will be soon. I always wanted 3 yrs minimum between them but DD is now 31 months. Going travelling for approx. a year in jan/feb so i would like to start trying now and hopefully be preg by feb/mar. Just gotta talk DP round first!!

marymillington · 21/11/2006 14:03

DS was 19 months when we had the "well it wouldn't be a disaster if i got up the duff again conversation". pg within the month.

PinkTinsel · 21/11/2006 14:04

8 weeks after dd was born had ds when she was 18 months and got preg with no AF

Babymad2DS · 21/11/2006 15:54

My first DS was 21 months old when I fell PG with DS#2 though a one off happy accident, so there is 2 1/2 years between my DC. I ended up with PND with DS#2, and having two children was much much harder. But saying that they are now 4 1/2 yrs and 7yrs and so very close that if, one goes to the loo the other is waiting outside the door, and when ever they're apart they're always asking when is so and so coming back, holding hand where ever they go and endless hugs, it's so adorable!
DH and I always wanted 3 children so we start TTC when DS#2 was 3 yrs, and now been TTC 17 long months and still nothing!

Iklboo · 21/11/2006 15:55

I will start tying when hell freezes over and the hole in me bum heals up

schneebly · 21/11/2006 15:57

I came off the pill when DS1 was 4 months old Took us another 4 months to concieve so they are pretty close together but I love it.

sweetkitty · 21/11/2006 16:02

When DD1 was 9 months old, you guessed it got knocked up the very first time of ttc, poor DP think he was expecting loads of ttc sex a la DD1 as it took us 9 months to conceive.

lpl · 21/11/2006 16:03

DS is 26 months and I stopped taking the pill in May 06. Nothing happened yet and I got a BFN yesterday I wanted a 2 1/2 year gap but it looks like it will be more like 3 year + gap.

WTF · 21/11/2006 16:13

Sorry to hijack but been trying for ages now and just did PG test with a very faint line. What does this mean?

cece · 21/11/2006 16:13

DD was 1.9 years

DS was born when she was 2.5 years, which I found a good age gap

PinkTinsel · 21/11/2006 16:30

wtf........ CONGRATULATIONS!

faint pos is still positive

mateychops · 21/11/2006 16:31
