Here is DS with grandad yesterday when they came up to see SIL's house.
DH wants to cut his hair but I am not letting him.

Lilla- he is very cute your little boy. He looks very mischievous.

Ducky, DS had pureed sweet potato and carrot mixed together followed by meln slices and his bottle. He does not have large amounts, just bits.He seems to like most things although he likes to squeeze food with his hands. His baby seat is scruffy today. Will be dettoxed later.

Is your leg ok now Tori? It does take ages to get a baby sorted and it's even harder if you breastfeed.

I remember as we carried DS out of the hospital looking at him and saying to DH 'How do we do this? ' We had no one to ask or to help us. We just did it on instinct and looking things up on the internet. It felt like within 2 days the house belonged to a baby. His stuff was everywhere and I could not find anywhere to put anything. Everything was a tip and I was so tired. It took me weeks to get organised and into a routine.

I felt quite low and overwhelmed at times. I just walked miles with DS every afternoon. The fresh air did me good. And sometimes we just snuggled on the sofa and watched Jeremy Kyle. Blush

Has DH had paternity leave? Does he do his share?

Cupcake92 · 28/05/2015 20:21

Awwww Lill and Lulu! Both ur DS's look gorgeous! :)

And these babies seems to eat better than me Grin their food sounds yummy!
Tho me and DS were naught and had a nandos tonight Blush

Tori I hope ur leg is better now! Hope ur settling in okay and enjoying motherhood :)

2nd day wearing my support belt and I can tell it helps my lower back loads because once I've taken it off within an hour it aches again. I'm deffo going to keep wearing it each day tho :) just dred bed time as its getting quite painful through the night.

I brought some babies things today!!! :) :) got a lovely Moses basket for the lounge and a rocking stand. Got a few baby grows as well and some little booties and hat! :)

Glad the belt is helping cupcake, can you sleep in them? And woooo for buying things Grin how exciting!

Oh no tori! Not a dreaded episiotomy! Mine ached for a long time after Hmm but you sound better than me going for a walk! Grin

Lillamyy1 · 28/05/2015 23:40

Haha I'm really enjoying hearing about the little rascals enjoying their food and getting so excited that they get it everywhere! Ducky it's a good job you've got dogs, what a time-saver Grin
Lulu, your DS is a little cutie! What a lot of hair, and so dark!

Cupcake92 · 29/05/2015 07:12

I'm really worried about these episiotomy! I really don't want one of those Confused

Glad ur leg is better Tori! And wel done for bf in public! :) I keep thinking about that as a lot of people stare and some complain, if someone did that too me I'd go up and give them an ear full! We shouldn't have to feel scared or worried to bf in public.

Thanks Ducky :) I'm not sure if u can sleep in them?? I'd love it if I could!! Will have to read the box see what it says :)

Off to pick up my new glasses today! Then Going to go and have a coffee and a cake! Can't wait Grin the things us moms get excited about aye Grin

Siarie · 29/05/2015 11:57

Phew I've tried to read up where I could. Cupcake congrats on a little boy, I know you would have liked one of each but two boys will be great fun.

I've been struggling to catch up on here as what with the baby and us moving its all be a bit hectic. DD is seven weeks today, no idea where that's gone.

I can't believe your DS is on solids now ducky. They don't stay small for long do they? Lovely little lad.

Siarie · 29/05/2015 11:59

Oh and I'm kind of glad DD came out c section in the end. I keep looking at head and thinking oh no no. She has a large head like my dh and that would have been a episiotomy for sure! Even with my massages I was having

Ducky23 · 29/05/2015 12:25

Has your ms stopped now cupcake?

Siarie, 7 weeks already! It's mad isn't it! How are you feeling now? Do you have any niggles from your scar still?

OP posts:
Siarie · 29/05/2015 12:59

I know ducky makes me sad how quickly it's going, she's in 0-3 months clothes now too.

My scar has healed nicely and I've lost loads of weight so it's really not so bad anymore. I still have stretch marks below my belly button which sucks but I'll consider some laser on it in a while.

My stomachs mostly gone down and I'm pleased to say the muscles are pulling together again. I was worried they wouldn't and about the jelly belly effect. My belly button looks less warped now too. I know it doesn't matter but it's a real shock to go from bump to this empty squishy sack so I'm pleased it is changing.

Dd has her hand Monday, she's got a bit of a cough today so hoping she isn't going to get a cold. We had to deal with reflux issues as well but she's on a thicker formula now and keeps her food down a lot better Smile

Won't be long now until cupcakes 20 week scan!

Siarie · 29/05/2015 13:00

Her jabs*

Ducky23 · 29/05/2015 13:12

Ds always reacted badly to all his jabs Confused

My belly has gone back down now but if I poke it it's still a bit squishy Shock

What formula is dd on now?

Have you been to any of the baby groups yet? Ds starts his new one next week Smile

Oh tori how exhausting! I had no idea babies bf for that long! I think lil had the same too. Will he be ebf?

OP posts:
Siarie · 29/05/2015 15:09

Oh gosh Tori! You deserve a nap that's an epic feeding session.

I haven't been to any groups yet, I think I'll go to the local NCT one. I was waiting to move as no point getting to know people then moving.

She's having cow and gate anti reflux and it seems to be going down alright. The only downside is they don't make it ready made for trips out. I haven't worked out my system for that but every time I give her the normal cow and gate while out she usually showers me in vomit.

LuluJakey1 · 29/05/2015 16:10

Sairie, you are so slim! I have never been that slim. I am much slimmer than I was before I was pregnant but my belly is still squishy. Dh says he loves it but it has never bothered him. I started running again but am not very motivated. I walk miles and miles- often 40+ a week with DS, but while it is keeping me fittish it isn't like running or cardiovascular.

Tori I am just shocked by how long DS took to feed. You must be completely exhausted. I a tired today just because DS has been awake since 5am and has not had a nap yet. He will soon and I am going up to lie on the bed in the sun for an hour. He should be exhausted. DH took him swimming this morning. Hope you get some rest and a sleep. Is your DH doing lots to help?

DS got DH in the hair with some pureed apple today. Grin

DH will say things like 'I think he needs his nappy changing'. Well what's the point in thinking that? Just do it. Tbf he does then usually do it but he waits a few seconds to see if I jump up.

'I think the dishwasher is finished' . Empty it then. Same routine.

They want to be seen as men who pull their weight but any excuse to wriggle. DH will say 'God cleaning's boring' Yes, for me too!

Just don't give in Tori. DS comes first and DH has to help. It's time for them to be a grown up.

Siarie u skinny bum! Well done in loosing all that weight ! I'm determined to loose mine this time once baby is born. My 20 week scan is exactly 2 weeks today! :)

Tori all that feeding sounds exhausting! I rele want to ebf but it sounds like it's gonna be impossible for me :( I need to have some sleep because of looking after DS as well.

Ducky yes Ms has completely gone now! :) woohoo! Headaches have also disappeared :) but just my spd now! And it's awful :( felt like crying today because all I did was walk round town as went to get my glasses, sat and had a coffee and had to come home. I couldn't even manage to go get DS's feet measured :(

Lillamyy1 · 29/05/2015 21:43

Cupcake, glad the belt's working!
Tori, so good to hear from you! Totally feel your pain re lack of
Sleep due to v hungry baby! How's his latch? I read on the bf forum someone's baby fed for hours because of a partial tongue tie so couldn't feed very effectively. I'm wondering if that's my DS's problem too and going to have it checked out. Also totally know what it's like to have a partner who helps lots at first then not as much Hmm
Siarie I agree about having a weird wobbly tum and muscles not going back together for ages... Mine looks very weird, can't wait til I've got the ok from the doc to start exercising!
DS slept better last night. Giving him formula this eve as a treat for me as he sleeps for longer after a bottle and I really need the rest!
