Cupcake it sounds awful Hmm any sign of your physio appt?

Lil I've heard tongue tie is v hard to diagnose without a pead looking. I thought ds had it (before cmpi was diagnosed) have you cut all dairy out your diet to, to see if that helps? There's dairy in a lot of things you wouldn't suspect, so I have learnt whilst weaning! Like I said it can take 2 weeks for it all to leave babies system, so if it's no better after then there's another cause. How have the past few nights been?

Cupcake, you must be so fed up with the pain. Hope your appointment comes soon.

Tonight DH and I watched Alan Carr on the tv and the model David Gandy was on. Very good- looking and fit as a butcher's dog (as men say in the north-east). Anyway, I watched with interest, especially the advert for M&S of him modelling underwear and swimwear. As we got into bed DH says, 'I think I'm a bit like that David Gandy, d'you think?'
Me Shock 'Which bit were you thinking of exactly?'
DH 'Well....we are both dark haired with a bit of a beard for a start'
Me 'Well so is Brian Blessed if that's the point of comparison.'
DH 'We're the same age.'
Me 'That's true'
DH 'We've both got quite big noses'
Me 'That's true as well'
DH ' We both look good with our kit off'
Me ' Ermm.....'
DH ' We both drive women wild'
Me ' Oh yes, there's that'.
DH ' You know you fancy me more than him'
Me ' In your dreams.'
DH 'You could pretend I'm him.'
Me ' I couldn't. It's too big a stretch, honestly it is.'

Haha Lulu! Grin
Ducky DS has been fine the last few nights tummy-wise, I'm not sure if it was colic after all. I gave up dairy completely for about three or four days and his evening crying stopped straight away but then I had a few slip ups and had a bit of dairy and he's been fine still so I don't know if dairy had anything to do with itHmm I'm thinking it probably wasn't colic after all! But he does take ages to feed which is why I'm thinking maybe partial tongue tie??

Siarie · 30/05/2015 04:30

Lulu! Haha it's sounds like you have a comedian on your hands. It's great when a guy makes you laugh, so important to be able to joke I'm a relationship.

Oh cupcake I don't envy your pain at the moment. I was somewhat housebound until it got better. Is your body pillow not helping?

You know I've had two people (one was a child) say I look pregnant Blush this week.

LuluJakey1 · 30/05/2015 07:27

Sairie, how could they have thought that? You are so slim and your stomach is completely flat.

You and Lill have obviously had a brpken night!

You are right about how important it is to laugh with your partner. He does make me laugh- in despair sometimes but he does make me laugh!

Cupcake92 · 30/05/2015 08:05

Lill duckys right tongue tie is hard to diagnose my friends baby had it and had a procedure to snip the bit that joins the tongue to the bottom but he was at least 4 months old by then.

Ducky no sign of my physio appt yet :( I'm hoping it comes through Monday. I need it Grin how's DS's sleep now he's eating more solids?

Lulu I'm more than fed up with the pain it's annoying!
Haha bless ur DH Grin

Siarie I think I'll end up house bound for sure. And I've not got my body pillow yet ! Really need to go and buy it. And how can anyone say u look pregnant! Ur so slim again!

Ducky23 · 30/05/2015 11:02

Oh lil I hope you get it sorted soon. Have you got an appt booked? I would push for a pead referral if I were you.

Siarie they asked you if you were pregnant?!? Shock How bloody rude!

Hope it comes through Monday cupcake.

How's ds now he's been in his own room lulu?

Ds had a great night the other night, he had a bottle around 9.30 and slept until 5am when he had another feed and slept til 7am. Last night was another awful one Confused he slept until 3am and then decided it would be a good time to start the day. He was lying there shouting and squealing to himself and banging the bars of his cot like he was in prison! I fed him at 4ish hoping it would make him go back to sleep but no luck Hmm he's just fallen asleep for his nap!

He's wearing a villa outfit today for the big game Grin

Lillamyy1 · 30/05/2015 11:03

Well DS and I went to bed at about 10 last night and then he woke up at 1am and then just wouldn't go back to sleep!! He was very excited and burbled and gurgled really loudly on and on and on... Eventually at 4am I took him through to DP and asked him to give him a bottle if he got hungry because I was so desperate for sleep! DS still isn't asleep now which means he'll probably be asleep all day and then awake at night again Hmm

Lillamyy1 · 30/05/2015 14:34

Just as I thought! He's flat out. DP's sister has just been as well, it's only the second time she's seen him because she doesn't often have a chance to make it up from London but he had his eyes shut the whole time!

LuluJakey1 · 30/05/2015 15:38

DS woke just after 6 this morning and DH got up with him. He is fine in his own room Ducky. He was full of beans this morning.

We have been to IKEA and bought bits of tat, and had lunch. DS sat in a high chair and shouted for his pureed apple and bits of banana. DH has entertained himself laughing at things with silly names like Knackerbrod- he actually bought some of that. I was wandering round the garden furniture while him and DS had a sit down and became aware of some giggling and 'Aww' ing. He and DS had fallen asleep on the sofa. He was stretched out laying back and DS was lying on his chest. People were having to walk round DH's legs and were giggling at the pair of them. Honestly! Neither of them were very happy about being woken up. DH claimed he was 'resting his eyes'. DS slept in the car on the way home. They are both having a snooze upstairs before the FA cup.

I am going out to garden- do some more pots.

Ducky23 · 30/05/2015 15:55

What is a knackerbrod!?!? GrinGrinGrin

Haha omg that's hilarious! I hope you took a picture!

I hope you managed some more sleep lil!

I have set up an e mail account for ds, I have been sending him pictures and things this afternoon for him to look at when he is older.

I have sent him an e mail about his sister, an e mail about my pregnancy with him & his birth, an e mail about him being ill and I have just sent one about his food Grin

OP posts:
Ducky23 · 30/05/2015 15:56

Even if he doesn't look at it, I like it Grin it's a safe place for my pictures of him and things as my phone is almost a gonner!

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 30/05/2015 16:07

Knackerbrod seems to be sort of dried rolls- thick scandanavian crunchy bread stuff. I haven't opened it yet. I didn't have my phone on me Ducky. I don't use it very much really.

I am having a lie on the sofa with a mint chocolate Magnum - will do a bit of gardening later on Smile

That's a lovely idea about the email account for your DS.

Bearsinmotion · 30/05/2015 17:09

Thanks Lulu, now I really want a Magnum Envy

We've just made an offer on another house, it's really lovely but I'm finding the whole process nerve wracking! We can't offer the asking price so just have to hope they don't think we're too cheeky Confused

Cupcake92 · 30/05/2015 20:36

Ducky love the idea of an email for DS and sending him things! :)

Hope u get the house Bears! :)

Lill and Ducky I hope u both manage to have a decent night tonight and get some sleep!

Lulu that's funny about ur DH and DS falling asleep in IKEA Grin

I've ordered my pregnancy pillow haha :) can't wait for it now!

LuluJakey1 · 30/05/2015 20:41

Sorry Bears Grin

What is the house like? I love looking at houses.

If DS could have crawled this afternoon he definitely would. He wriggled and wriggled, sort of like a caterpillar on the floor, just determined to move under his own steam. He is pushing his legs straight too and trying to grab furniture to pull himself up but he isn't strong enough- legs or arms.

Ducky23 · 30/05/2015 20:53

Lulu ds can crawl on his back Grin kind of like a crab! But he hasn't figured out the front yet! Apparently most babies in my family were walking by 9 months! Ds wants to but I don't think his legs/back are that strong yet!

Good luck bears! Smile

Cupcake I still use my pillow now! I love it!

Bearsinmotion · 30/05/2015 21:09

House is gorgeous lulu - period cottage with lots of quirky features, surprisingly spacious and a great attic bedroom that DD has decided is hers!

DS wants to crawl! He tries really hard if you put him on his tummy. He also chats constantly to himself, which is very cute.

LuluJakey1 · 30/05/2015 21:18

It sounds lovely Bears. I like old houses. Our is just 1920s but it has lots of character and space.

I love listening to DS talk. He babbles on and is making sort of maaaa sounds (which DH thinks are daaa sounds so they are obviously not very clear) Smile When do babies crawl because he really didn't seem far off some sort of propelling movement this afternoon?

Siarie · 30/05/2015 22:35

Ducky someone recommended I setup an email too but I was concerned by the time did is older the email might be out dated. Also email mailboxes don't stay active if you don't login to them for years.

I like the idea but I wouldn't want to lose them by forgetting to login to keep it active.

I didn't know what to say about the pregnant remarks Hmm

LuluJakey1 · 30/05/2015 23:00

I have come to bed and left DH watching 'The Woman in Black'. Bet he comes up to bed because he's scared. Smile

I hope everyone gets an uninterrupted night's sleep tonight. No waking babies and, Cupcake, no pain to keep you awake.

DS had his feed late tonight so hoping he will sleep right through after all of his activity today.

Siarie · 31/05/2015 02:57

DD is starting to get a nice routine, she has always slept at night but we put her to bed yesterday evening before dinner and she didn't wake for four hours. Then DH fed her at 11pm and I'm just up now doing a feed. So roughly two four hour sleeps, I expect she will be up at 6:30am then won't go back down but can't complain.

Lillamyy1 · 31/05/2015 05:17

Haha lulu, that story about your DH and DS falling asleep in ikea made me Grin
Glad the pillow's on its way Cupcake!
Ducky that email idea is lovely. I've got a blank book that my sister made me (she does hand book binding) and I keep meaning to start a journal for DS very similar to your email idea.
Bears I'll have my fingers crossed that you get that house!

Lillamyy1 · 31/05/2015 06:39

Siarie, I hope DD slept through after that feed! It's easier to get a routine when ff I've heard.
Last night was quite a lot better than most recently. I took DS into town to the arts cinema and cafe/bar where DP works because quite a few of our friends were there having an early evening drink and they wanted to meet DS. I had a rum and coke so gave DS a bottle while we were there and he drank so much that I think it must have filled him up because he woke up for a quick feed at 1:30am and then slept through until 5! Then we both went back to sleep and he's just woken me for another little feed but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he gives me another hour.
MIL is up staying at DP's grandparents' house and is planning to take us for breakfast in a few hours but I'd rather stay in bed Grin

Cupcake92 · 31/05/2015 07:52

Bears house sounds lovely! :)

And Lulu and ducky uve got such clever babies!! DS crawled at 10 months he was so lazy Grin I used to crawl on my hands and feet never on my knees and was walking by 10 months. DS never took after me Grin

Oo Lill! Going out for breakfast!! I'm jealous lol! I'd love to go for some proper pancakes and waffles with syrup and cream and maybe some banana sprinkled on! Mmmmmmm! Blush sorry my appetite is crazy atm I'm always so hungry! I do have some scones that I'm eating right now for my breakfast Grin
