Hairstylisttoboris · 13/04/2015 10:44

7 DPO here. Yesterday my DH asked me how many times Ive taken a pregnancy test yet this month. Bless.

pinningwobble · 13/04/2015 10:48

Sorry for all those AF got.

5dpo here and very impatient!!! Keep looking at my chart...it's beautiful this month as I am temping vaginally, but don't want that to mislead me.

tessiegirl · 13/04/2015 11:22

Hello everyone, I haven't wanted to pop on to give you my stats which I so hope could maybe help someone else on here...

This was our 6th cycle trying although it was probably the 3rd I would say was really good timing dtd wise. We dtd on days 11,16,17, 18 and 26. I think I ov'd on CD18 although FF has settled on CD16 so who knows?!

I used Onestep ic's and backed them up with Clearblue Dual Hormone opks. Although funnily enough, this cycle I had to rely on only the ic's as I had run out of CB ones!

I started taking folic acid and vit d this cycle and also took Robitussin cough medicine in the lead up to ov to help with cm. We also used Preseed every time we dtd, although only up to the '1' on the applicator. I also drank pineapple juice after ov.

DH had a SA back in October and was told that everything was fine apart from that he had 3% morphology so he has been taking Wellman Conception vits ever since the test. He would also put a cushion under his laptop and would drink maybe on average 4/5 beers a week?

Not much info there but I would love to think it helped someone else... Smile

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 11:36

Ok, so just had a call from my GP. My progesterone level is 17 and she said it should be 30 and as is very low she doesn't think I am ovulating Sad she also said there is no point in them doing day 3 bloods as a cause for infertility has been identified. She said I need to see her and she will then do a referral to fertility clinic and DH needs to have SA. NHS will help us up to clomid level and then decide whether it not they will assist further.

I'm now not sure what to do! Should I wait for referral or go private? I know nobody can answer that but just want some ideas. Any thoughts on how else I can increase my progesterone levels?

loopylou1984 · 13/04/2015 11:39

Thank you for your stars Tessie. I'm particularly pleased to see your dhs morphology score as my dhs first was 3% and second 5% - this gives me hope!
Can I ask why you had a SA if you were only on cycle 6? Don't answer that if I'm being too nosy! Xx

loopylou1984 · 13/04/2015 11:41

*stats

DizzyM - I would give your local fertility clinic a call to find out the waiting times for an appointment. No point paying privately if the waits not too long Smile

pinningwobble · 13/04/2015 11:45

Dizzy sorry to hear that. I take it you weren't temping?

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 11:46

Sammy I could do that but I'll have to see my GP and then DH will first need his SA test and results before a referral is even made. From what I recall last time it was 3 months. What I'm thinking is, is it really worth waiting if they'll only help up until clomid and if that doesn't work we won't qualify for any further help on the NHS as already have DD.

Oh god, this is déjà vu Confused

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 11:47

No pinning I wasn't temping but did get a positive opk on cd13 but apparently that doesn't mean I actually ovulated

tessiegirl · 13/04/2015 11:51

Sorry about the test results DizzyMerry Sad Hope you work out what to do for the best

Sammy no of course I don't mind you asking! Smile I made DH get a SA right at the beginning of ttc just so we knew what we were working with especially as DH was 45 at the time so no spring chicken, bless him. Glad you had a lovely holiday and are nice and relaxed, can only be a good thing!

Wow! Nicnak Congratulations!! The pic of your ic test is how mine looked on Saturday but today it is slightly stronger.

Lucie Fx your scan goes well today Smile

Ah Pinning very interesting re MA in creative writing! Can I ask what kind of things you write? I also write in my spare time...

pinningwobble · 13/04/2015 11:55

No opks are not completely reliable unfortunately. The only thing that really tells you if you are ovulating is a temp rise. Or a blood test of course.

I hardly ever get a positive opk but my temps always show a rise.

pinningwobble · 13/04/2015 11:56

Tessie lovely to meet a fellow cw! I do a bit of everything: short stories and some poetry but also halfway through a novel at the moment. How about you?

coffeenut · 13/04/2015 11:58

merry so sorry to hear about AF and now the results Sad. Do you have the finances to get the ball rolling on private?

Thanks tessie Smile ... must remember to get some pineapple!

And I'm so sorry banana for AF x

boris Grin I hope you don't have a bin full of FRER wrappers Wink

Yay for the nice chart pin ... can't get my head around vaginal temping though Grin

pinningwobble · 13/04/2015 12:01

Coffee I know, I am pretty gross/shameless though so that kind of thing bothers me less than others!!

coffeenut · 13/04/2015 12:06

Important qualities in any good writer pin Wink

loopylou1984 · 13/04/2015 12:36

DizzyM - I guess it really depends on what you can afford? If money is an issue then get as much as you can on the NHS before you start paying (and the clomid might just work!). If it's not an issue then just get straight to the private clinic if you prefer not to wait the potential 3 months.

Tessie - that was very good planning! Did the doctor think 3% was an issue? Our consultant wasn't worried about it at all!
But anyway, you conceived naturally despite it? Xx

chopsface · 13/04/2015 12:43

I thought you'd like tessie's news Sammy! Hope for us yet eh?

Af still awol here, 15/16dpo. Gonna buy a test if still nothing tomorrow but I do have cramps so not hopeful. Just need answers now!

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 12:43

I think you're right sammy and what you say makes a lot of sense. I am willing to try anything before going down the IVF route, which we will have to pay for so may as well save the money we have for then. In the meantime I will try maca to increase my progesterone levels.

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 12:46

Sorry missed your post coffee we do have the finances but we will be struggling if we exhaust all avenues and then need to go for IVF. I think we will go with the NHS for now and as sammy says the clomid could do the trick!
