hey! I'm not due af until about 10 days and know i won't get a possible positive until about then but im addicted to hpt's and keep feeling the need to test (obz negative atm) im really annoying myself! is anyone also doing this and Can't stop themselves ! ? HahaGrin

Yep! I tested last week when I was most of the way through a course of progesterone to bring on AF! It almost seems a shame to just flush away FMU now Grin

It only took me a couple of months before the desire to test early passed. Nothing more depressing than seeing a bfn!

Yes me too!! Grin only due for period a week on Saturday but may have tested this morning...... Just in case..... I think I may be addicted!!!

I couldn't help myself and done one this morning 4 days before period I'd due and got this........I'm convinced there is 2 lines. Lol fingers crossed for all you ladies xx

advantages of waiting... Grin

save money on tests
save emotional energy for times there's actually a chance of a nice BFP
lines will be stronger later = more confidence (and less strain on the eyes!)
keeps it 'special'

however easy for me to say, as a natural pragmatist I didn't even buy any tests until AF was way late and i was constantly nauseas.

however not feeling so patient about wait for 12 week scan!!!!!

I second what 5hell says!

This month I didn't test til I knes AF was late, I got my BFP on Tuesday on a clear blue and since then done an infinite amount of cheap tests and there's such a clear line.

It's much easier than testing early and getting a false negative or being frustrated because you can't tell if there's a line or not.

I'm the same! Tested this morning 10 days AF and got a negative. Its our first month ttc and it's all I can think about. I'm going to try wait till AF is late before testing again. it's so hard not to think about it.

I was hoping it would get easier missmartin1992. Keep trying to put it to the back if my mind but it creeps back to the front. Hopefully we both get some good news next weekend. I keep looking for changes or signs but nothing yet. xx
