Clear blue dual hormone ovulation kit advice please!

I'm looking for a bit of help with the clear blue ovulation tests please! Its my first month of using them (cycle 5 of TTC #3). I started testing on CD8 I think - I had two days of low fertility, then yesterday had high fertility so we DTD. Then today another day of high fertility as expected. Now I'm just not sure if we should be dtd-ing today again, or should it be every other day until peak fertility? No sperm issues we know of. Today I've been feeling really wet (TMI) so not sure if that is fertile CM and boobs are starting to feel sore.

I'm torn between the advice of not dtd every day as then each time there is less sperm around, but also paranoia of missing the fertile window. I also feel a bit concerned that you have to test in the morning to be accurate, but its basically impossible for us to dtd until the evening (due to having to go to work and small children waking up early). I guess my worry is that I might have peak fertility tomorrow am, but we will be leaving it late to do it that night and maybe should do it tonight?!?

Does that make sense to anyone out there? Any help would be gratefully received!

i have no experience atall as im ttc # 1 and is only been 2 cycles.. but i would do it tonight if it is fertile cm the sperm can live quite happily up there for around 5 days if im right so if you dtd tonight least its there waiting for the egg rather than to come looking for it tomorrow night cz you never know that might be too late! Grin goodluck hunni Thanks x

It's best to DTD EOD as the more often you have sex the lower the concentration of sperm (they take time to regenerate).

So I'd wait till tomorrow then DTD for the 2 days of peak.

Remember as well that the peak fertility is just the LH surge being detected - which in itself is 24-36 hours before ovulation. So doing the deed in the evening will still be before ovulation so you don't need to worry. I also think every other day is better until you get peak.

FYI I've had some months where I had 5 days of the flashing smiley before the solid one (so every day would have been a nightmare!) This month just 2 days.

Other things to know are that day 1 of testing will ALWAYS show a blank circle, whether or not it's a low fertile day, as it's simply base lining the machine to allow it to compare the next days' test results.

Also note that once you get the solid smiley, don't bother testing again as the machine will just show the solid smiley automatically - it no longer looks at the actual stick results once you have the solid smiley.

Only mentioning this as I've seen lots of other ladies continue to test and confused they keep on getting peak for days on end.

Thanks for all the advice ladies! Decided to go for the every other day option and glad we did as have had 4 days of "high fertility" so far! Its seems like that's not (too) unusual so am crossing fingers that tomorrow will be the high fertility and trying not to stress about it.
Thanks again and good luck to everyone ttc-ing
