I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

I'm still bfn and no AF, what should I do?! 18dpo!!

diamondsparkles · 18/04/2015 12:25

Morning ladies - how is everyone this morning? Ickle any updates? Haquoi - how are you feeling today?
It's a lovely sunny day here, trying to be positive and looking towards ttc this month again now, dh says I need to 'just relax and it will happen' - if only that were true!

diamondsparkles · 18/04/2015 12:26

Sorry ickle - cross post. I just don't understand- must be so frustrating for you. Have you ever had a long cycle like this before?

Strawb9999 · 18/04/2015 18:40

Ickle I hope you get some positive news soon.

I should be ovulating today but I don't have the stretchy cm you should have and yet cb ovulation tests are saying I am! So confused !

Icklepickle101 · 18/04/2015 19:30

Diamond - never!! I can't remember the last time it was anything other than 28 days!! I think however this means I'm out, so onwards and upwards as soon as the witch arrives!

I think your stress might have more of an impact then you think,

diamondsparkles · 19/04/2015 07:35

Strawb - how confusing! Cb tests are good though so sounds promising!
Any news ickle? I think you could be right about the stress..... I've got the ttc stress and we're having loads of work done on the house which is really stressing me out too - my cycles seem to be changing length recently as well - not good

haquoi123 · 19/04/2015 09:15

Thanks for thinking of me diamond. I completely reverted back to how I felt when DS died: watched TV episode after TV episode, pushed the limit for when I needed to eat, refused to talk to anybody, and cried anytime I came back reality. I don't know how I feel about today (this technically isn't talking), but it needs to get out of my system before work on Monday. I just want to run away somewhere, go somewhere abroad, hot, for a few days, get out of this place and my head. I know that the stress of this will have mucked up my chances for next month, so there's no point hoping any time soon

ickle how delayed is your period? You should go get a blood test from your GP x

diamondsparkles · 19/04/2015 13:55

Sorry for the delay haquoi. You must be going through absolute hell and I wish I could find the words to comfort you and make things seem not as bad, big hugs and love to you. Sometimes life is just completely and utterly unfair and awful and it is difficult to get through. You will get through this and one day you'll have your baby, keep believing this xxx
Getting away sounds good, try and do that if you can. It will be something to look forward to and will give you time to unwind

littlebbunny · 19/04/2015 14:50

Hope you ladies don't mind me joining in on the tww. 8dpo, lots of symptoms but could be just related to af showing up next week. Ov'd on time since mc but not entirely sure if first af will show on time.

haquoi hugs

littlebbunny · 19/04/2015 14:51

Btw hoping af doesn't show up at all.

diamondsparkles · 19/04/2015 15:51

Hi littleb! Exciting to be at 8 dpo with symptoms! What symptoms have you got? How long have you been ttc?

hewy · 19/04/2015 20:15

Oh haquoi I'm so sorry. Just checking in after a few days away and see things have been rough for you. There's no consolation to be offered except that the hard things we go through make us stronger. At least work keeps you busy and then you need to take the evenings to cry and eventually recover. Take a month off and do a pottery class. Not because it fixes anything but just because. Much love to you.
ickle - any news of AF or a BFP?

littlebbunny · 20/04/2015 08:01

Hi diamond I'm on my 4th cycle, mc on 3rd @ 5wks, haven't seen AF since but got a positive on opk. I think my symptoms are similar to af symptoms so not going to read into it too much. Symptoms are bloating, twinges and tender bbs, lower back pain, cramping, mild headaches, out of breath, fatigue, strong sense of smell, put off by eggs and very moody. I think I'm meant to be 9dpo today.
How are you doing in the tww phase?

Sleepingbunnies · 20/04/2015 08:19

We are off to the doctors this morning ... Wish me luck x

diamondsparkles · 20/04/2015 08:59

Good luck sleeping - let us know how you get on x
Hi littleb - they sound promising, fingers crossed for you! Unfortunately af got me which really knocked me as it was cycle 9 so onwards to cycle 10 now

diamondsparkles · 20/04/2015 13:15

How did you get on sleeping?
Any news ickle?
How are you today haquoi?

Sleepingbunnies · 20/04/2015 15:42

Well, Iv been advised to lose 1.5 stone and go back in 3 months so I feel great :(

diamondsparkles · 20/04/2015 18:00

Oh no sleeping. Has the Dr said why you've got no period? That must have been really disheartening to hear. Big hugs. Did the Dr say anything else?

diamondsparkles · 20/04/2015 18:02

Sorry - I'm getting confused (it doesn't take much!) - were you seeing Dr about ttc generally? Sorry, I'm not being nosy, just want to help if I can

Sleepingbunnies · 20/04/2015 19:47

We went and said we'd been trying for a year. I know that I am a little heavier than when I conceived my DDs but in my mind I'm not SO fat that it would stop me getting pregnant :(

diamondsparkles · 20/04/2015 20:03

Hi sleeping, I'm sure you're not at all so fat that it would stop you getting pregnant, I'm sorry you had to hear that and that nothing more constructive was said. I can't honestly see that weight has that much to do with fertility so try not to worry too much. I'm nearly a stone lighter than when I conceived ds and with him it took 5 months and now ttc the second we're onto cycle 10 and not a hint of a bfp- so weightloss certainly hasn't helped me. What is your plan of action for this month? Have you got ovulation tests? I've got the clearblue ones which are easy to use.

Sleepingbunnies · 20/04/2015 20:05

Well I guess the plan of action is to bloody diet :( I'm just finishing so onto cycle number 11.....

haquoi123 · 21/04/2015 00:13

sleeping that's annoying, sorry they weren't more helpful. Did they say what the plan could be in three months?

diamond thanks for thinking of me. I've been up, about and proactive ish today. There's a massive undercurrent of sadness, but a tinge of relief: I was so convinced I was going to lose it and I did. Next time I'll be more prepared and have more faith and won't poas for as long as possible. But I needed the weekend to get the biggest part of it out of my system. I got through 2 seasons of a terrible TV show in two days... How're you feeling?

Onwards and upwards for cycle #7!

ickle any news? Others in the dreaded TWW, how's it going? X

haquoi123 · 21/04/2015 00:14

Oh and fx for you little x

Rememberallball · 21/04/2015 06:46

Morning ladies, sorry for the attitude of your GP Sleeping; as someone who has had weight loss surgery in the past I think its fair to say that GPs are too quick to put any health problems down to being overweight and simply advise you to lose weight. Is there another GP at the practice you can see who might actually listen to your concerns?

Haquoi123, sorry this month didn't work right. I can't offer any advice but always have ears available.

I'm one week of my tww down one to go!!

Desperately trying not to symptom spot but have have to most sore, sensitive boobs known to man - don't like bedding on them at night, finding my usual comfy bras aren't and I'm sure that they've grown (but that could be imagination!!) I've also found I can't stay awake once I'm home in the evening - but tgat might be to do with dashing up to the hospital at the weekend when DM was rushed in quite poorly!!

It's taking all my effort not to keep POAS but I know its way too early yet!!
