I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

Hi greyhorses - there's definitely still time for your bfp! This timing thing is hard isn't it when there's shifts etc involved - its hard enough anyway!
Glad you're feeling relaxed though - that's definitely a good thing Smile, that's the one thing I try to be but never manage!!
Are you going to test again soon?

Greyhorses · 31/05/2015 19:49

I was going to try and hold out until the end of next week and see if AF arrives. I'm not sure I will last that long but I hate the disappointment of a negative!

I have had some cramping for the past week but I always cramp a few days before AF so it could be that!

diamondsparkles · 31/05/2015 20:41

greyhorses - cramping could be a good sign! Fingers crossed af stays well away

Lovelyjubbly95 · 31/05/2015 20:44

Diamondsparkles - thx, im going to test nxt wkend if af doesn't arrive....

diamondsparkles · 31/05/2015 20:49

lovely - fingers crossed for you too - keep us updated with any symptoms Smile

Lovelyjubbly95 · 31/05/2015 21:07

Have had a lot of bloating over the last few days, bit irritable, tired and at dinner tonight i had a strong woft of vinegar but my partner didn't have any lol

diamondsparkles · 31/05/2015 21:11

Lol, that's funny about the vinegar! Smile

Lovelyjubbly95 · 31/05/2015 21:12

Hi ladies! Had a few days break while AF is as here. I went to the football on Saturday so that was refreshing and took my mind off everything for a few hours! Ready to get back down to it. CD5 now and feeling calm. Sadly DH is on nights next week which is my entire fertile window! Not ideal especially as we stand to have our niece with us for 2 nights cos of the poxy network rail strike and we only have a 1 bedroom flat! This could be fun!! X

haquoi123 · 01/06/2015 08:58

Morning! I've come down with a stinking cold this morning, boo! :( cd46,cramps again yesterday that I needed painkillers for, no AF, no spotting. Sorry my post is just a quick update for now. Xxx

diamondsparkles · 01/06/2015 09:02

Morning everyone!
How is everyone? mayo - I agree - sharing mad rambling is good!
Good to hear from you red - that sounds like fun next week!
My update today - still nothing on the ovulation kit so seeing as dh on late shifts as of tomorrow with no chance of dtd til Saturday I've thrown the entire kit in the bin in a temper as what is the point? Even if I did get a positive on the opk it would be pointless, am very fed up of the whole ttc thing. And I hate Mondays - get to spend the whole day with a colleague who is pregnant because she was ill and her pill didn't work - WTF? How is that even possible? Not only that but I get a pregnancy update every 10 minutes - that doesn't include all the bump pictures she sends out to everyone on a regular basis!
Sorry - rant over - not a good morning!!

Lovelyjubbly95 · 01/06/2015 10:48

Bless u diamond ? sparkles ? i know how u feel. My younger sister told me a few wks bk that she is expecting, her and my brother-in-law werent trying for long at all and she actually fell the same wk i miscarried :(

SleepyDragon · 01/06/2015 12:14

Diamond rant away you know that's one of the things we're all here for. I get you though, it's like Jeremy Kyle and Jerry Springer all the chavs seem to get pregnant quicker Hmm lol!

Lovely ouch! That must have hit you like a ton of bricks!

Haquoi still keeping fingers crossed for you, a stinking cold and cramps were the start of my symptoms!

Lovelyjubbly95 · 01/06/2015 12:25

It did a little bit yea.i cried over the phone wen she told me thru happiness of being an aunt for first time but then the date dawned on me!

fuzzywuzzy · 01/06/2015 12:31

Haquoi how many DPO are you when are you planning on testing?

I'm feeling slightly nauseous since last night, and having nosebleeds (think weather reason for the latter), not sure whether I have any symptoms or not, they just seem to come and go.

diamondsparkles · 01/06/2015 13:54

Thanks ladies - needed the rant, it's good to have you here!
lovely - what a horrible coincidence- you'll soon get your bfp too though.
sleepy - thank you - it definitely seems that way!
haquoi - fingers crossed for you - I hope the cold means something good! X

Greyhorses · 01/06/2015 14:15

Diamond I feel the same, I work with 4 pregnant ladies at the moment!

Still no AF for me at cd35 however I have had some pain and cramping so hopefully it will decide soon! I think I would prefer it to come on time so there is no hope rather then thinking I might be pg to be disappointed Confused

DianaOstara · 01/06/2015 14:36

Hello everyone! Sorry I was a bit quiet yesterday - my new book arrived so I've been studying (its like a proper text book Confused) haqoui its by Toni Weschler and I realise the 'natural' bit is about natural birth control but you can use the same chatting principles to maximise chances of pregnancy.

Well my positivity took a nose-dive yesterday as I had a call from my brother asking if he can come and lodge with us Mon-Fri for a month for work. I felt like I had to say yes but really I had a little cry and rant at dh that we won't be able to have sex whenever we feel like it!!!! So I'm out of SMEP too. We'll still obviously try at every opportunity but won't be able to fall into our recent pattern of just after dinner!

red we're cycle buddies! I'm cd5 today too :)

Red193 · 01/06/2015 16:18

Hi Diana! Good to have a cycle buddy. According to my app my next period is due on my birthday (I have 26/27 day cycle) so it could be a very happy birthday for my this month!

hewy · 01/06/2015 16:53

Hi everyone. I'm 9dpo today. Couldn't resist testing-bfn. :( feel a little queasy at times and not fully hungry when I normally am, but no other symptoms. If queasiness was result of hcg then surely would show up by now on hpt? Feeling like this month hasn't worked either, although I know it's too early to rule it out. Hmmmm ...
Red, would be so lovely to get bfp on your birthday!
Lovely, sorry the dates have been tough for you. Keep chin up.

haquoi123 · 01/06/2015 18:32

lovely, that's awful. I have absolutely been there with people announcing they're pregnant at the worst possible time. A friend of my sister's put up their announcement on facebook 4 days after my DS died - I haven't been able to speak to her since, which is awful and I feel bad about it, but that's how it is.

fuzzy, I'm not sure when I ovulated, but I'm 16 days late, so about 30dpo!!! I've decided that on Friday (3 weeks late) I'll head to the gp again, but I'm not going to test before then. Can't face another bfn.

Thanks diamond. This cold is possibly even flu, it's that bad. I worked today, but called in sick for tomorrow. Eurgh. Sorry you're having such a crap time, that absolutely sucks! Has the day got any better? (apart from the rain)

hewy any sickness that occurs before implantation is caused by the progesterone from the empty egg follicle and not through hcg, so they wouldn't correlate. 9dpo is still very early yet though, so it's not over!

birchygoo · 01/06/2015 19:42

hey everyone - sorry I have been AWOL. been super busy but been finding few minutes here and there to see what's been happening!

hewy way to early to test - I read statistics from ff this morning that said only 10% of people who tested at 10dpo got their bfp so most ppl won't get a result at that stage

haquoi sorry AF still hasn't showed up! I think a trip to a new gp is the way forward! don't be afraid of telling them why u don't want to see other gp either!

me - still in boring tww. was out at weekend and had to tell friends (another couple) we were trying as they were trying to get me to drink and were not taking no for an answer. male friend and dh had a great talk of dh trying to explain cycles and that I have some contraption that tells you when to DTD PMSL

diamondsparkles · 01/06/2015 22:29

Hi ladies!
diana -oh no, I would be the same, a cry and rant was definitely needed.
Thanks hewy , sorry for your bfn but it is still early so there's still time for you bfp yet.
Thanks haquoi, yes I had a nice evening so day did get better, apart from the rain! Me and dh dtd twice tonight! It's sad that he's not around for rest of week for a possible late ovulation but can't be helped - at least I won't be doing my usual and pregnancy testing early as I know there's no point this month! That sound like a plan for Friday, they can't expect you to wait any longer than that.
birchy - that's so funny! Bet it was hilarious listening to that, hope your tww goes quickly
