I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

brown, sorry to hear that, it sucks

haquoi123 · 03/05/2015 10:46

(lots of cross posting, sorry) Yes!! I feel like that too, you can't make any plans! I want to do a masters and go abroad and generally just get in with my life, but ttc is getting in the way. I appreciate you mean waiting for AF, but its the same. Hopefully your GP will have some answers... How is it at your family's?

browneyedgirl86 · 03/05/2015 10:52

Yeah that's what I mean. Its been not bad here at the future in laws. As the weather was so bad DPs sister hasn't visited and whenever the baby is mentioned I just smile and nod. I understand they are excited. It's my issue that it tears me up a little bit inside whenever it's mentioned.

I generally don't think I can be pregnant though that's what 4 tests and it's now 8 days late? What are the chances?

haquoi123 · 03/05/2015 11:06

I think the chances are getting lower, if I'm honest, but it ain't over until AF comes along. There are quite a few people who get these - I just read that one person was told by their doctor that a lot of people get annovulatory months about once a year and is frustrating and upsetting but normal...

browneyedgirl86 · 03/05/2015 12:43

I have read about that too. I asked my sister about it and she told me that when she was pregnant for the first time her doctor told her the baby was a possible cyst, she didn't get a bfp until she was 12 weeks pregnant!!

Can't imagine waiting that long!! If still no show by Tuesday when I see the nurse I will ask their advice then.

findingmyfeet12 · 03/05/2015 16:53

Afternoon ladies,

It seems like we're all stuck in our own limbos at the moment!

Haquoi - I didn't think you were judging me at all. The issue with my dps relative is that I genuinely don't think she realises that the baby will change her life. I hope she steps up to the plate once it's born.

My in-laws are spectacularly unsympathetic to my situation. I hope that they won't expect me to fuss over the baby as I don't think I'll be able to do that.

diamondsparkles · 03/05/2015 19:10

Hi everyone - sorry I've been absent - diy day today - my idea of hell but I had to help dh!
haquoi - cycle buddy - we definitely are cycle buddies Grin - still a flashing smiley here today so have officially given up this month - plus I've run out of ovulation sticks and am not buying any more this month because of my stupid body, it's obviously one of those months where there are no eggs - as if I don't have enough probs!
You never know though - your cycle might be fine and your cm might just not be showing what is actually happening? Xx
My next reflexology is next week, can't wait.
Sorry to hear brown you're still in limbo Sad
finding - you're in such a difficult position, hope you're okay

browneyedgirl86 · 03/05/2015 21:08

Aww finding I know how that feels, I am struggling to show excitement for my Sister in law to be pregnancy, she's moaning as it was unplanned whereas I would love to be in her position.
Diamond That is rubbish about the ov, I have to admit using the sticks sounds confusing as I'm a total novice when it comes to that. I'm starting to think I haven't ovulated last month.

Still no AF, only change I've noticed is feeling sickly and needing to wee all the time. I'm not going to test tomorrow, I'm tired of testing every day to be told bfn. It's just making me wonder what else it could be!

haquoi123 · 03/05/2015 21:13

Ah, finding, I get what you mean. I'm sorry your in-laws aren't sympathetic, that's really hard to deal with. Do you have to see them often?

brown, that's an amazing story about your sister! Maybe you'll have something similar...?

diamond I'm still doing the baby dance, but I've pretty much given up on this month. My body is still doing ewcm. I'm bored by it. Usually exciting, but I'm bored now. Hurry up, AF, I want to move on to the next cycle.

haquoi123 · 03/05/2015 21:20

Right, I have an idea. Let's do an experiment. I've found this thing called 'Sperm meets Egg' plan. There's been good and bad reviews (she says it's got about a 40% success rate), but I thought it was interesting. Anyone want to do this next cycle and see if it works? TTC is getting us down, we might as well have some fun with it!

This is the short version of the plan:
Short Version:

Star "Try" every other night starting Day 8
StarBuy 10 ovulation predictor kit sticks
StarBegin ovulation testing on Day 10
StarWhen test is positive, "try" that night, plus two additional nights in a row
StarSkip one night, then do one last "try"
StarTake a home pregnancy test 15 days after your ovulation test was positive, if your period has not begun
StarIf your ovulation test never goes positive, continue "trying" every other night until Day 35, then do a pregnancy test if your period has not begun.

It's well worth reading the long version, but you get the jist from above. Let me know if you're in!

Internet cheapies for anyone interested in taking part (the reviews look ok)

browneyedgirl86 · 03/05/2015 22:53

I will give it a try! It has to be more effective than my current method!

Now if AF will rear her ugly head!

haquoi123 · 03/05/2015 23:02

Woohoo! 2 people in! Thanks brown. I've got at least another two weeks before AF due, I think I'm moving past my original bfp due date of 16th May, so I'll probably be a bit behind you. I also have my fx that your AF decides to take a 9 month break :)

diamondsparkles · 04/05/2015 07:45

Morning Smile
Yes count me too! I'll give it a try. I'm the same as you haquoi - think my af will be later than 16 May due to no ovulation but hopefully it'll not too too late.
brown - are you testing this morning?

Rememberallball · 04/05/2015 08:05

I'm already past d8 so a bit late for this month but will certainly give it a go next month.

Yesterday's opk was paler tgan Saturday's one but I had very dilute urine due to lots of alcohol free beer at my niece's first Holy Communion party - the number of people who asked if there was a reason I wasnt drinking with a raised eyebrow - I said "yes, of course there is a reason. I'm driving and need my car first thing this morning for work do couldn't leave it 20 miles away" Soon shut them up!!

browneyedgirl86 · 04/05/2015 09:47

Morning everyone!
Thanks Haquoi I'm keeping my fx here too but still not overly convinced.
diamond No I'm not testing today. Still no AF and it's now 9 days late. But I just can't face another bfn. I think I've poas every day for the past 5 days and I just need a break from it. Will test tomorrow or the day after but I'm going to mention it when I see the nurse tomorrow anyhow.

diamondsparkles · 04/05/2015 11:45

Lol remember, glad to hear you shut them up!
brown - I don't blame you for feeling so fed up with the testing - I am keeping fingers crossed for you though, yes it's worth mentioning to the nurse.
Well because I've run out of ovulation sticks I didn't test this morning so keep wondering what's going on - whether my body will decide to ovulate anyway or not bother Confused. Am looking forward to our experiment next month and just want to get on with the next cycle now!

haquoi123 · 04/05/2015 13:40

Check your cervical mucus, diamond. I checked again today (still no cervix found) and it slightly stretchy but cloudy, so I'm either done ovulating or going to start gearing up again in a few days. I found fertilityfriend.com and they have loads of really useful information. If you sign up (free) they send you lessons every day on how to chart.
Ach, that's annoying remember, good on setting them straight though.

I'd mention your sister to the nurse as well brown, it may be that low hcg levels run in the family.

I feel so un-fertile - usually I can feel things happening in my womb, slight tenderness before my period, but I got nothing! Bring on next month.

Yay, excitement ahoy!

diamondsparkles · 04/05/2015 13:56

Thanks haquoi I'll have a look! Lol, men have no idea what we go through!!
I'm the same, with my apparent lack of ovulation I feel nothing, normally I've got a bit of excitement thinking of testing but haven't got that this month.
Yes definitely bring on next month now!!

browneyedgirl86 · 04/05/2015 16:00

Thanks haquoi I will mention my sister to the nurse tomorrow, it's for a vitamin B injection but hopefully they won't mind asking about that.

I know how up feel though diamond and haquoi I have no idea what my body is doing. I'm on tenterhooks constantly waiting for either AF or some kind of symptom for pregnancy. I have no idea as and when AF will arrive (if it does)

Who would have thought making a baby would be so complicated!!!

findingmyfeet12 · 04/05/2015 19:37

Well, I'm taking my last dose of clomid for this cycle tonight. I hope it works because it has been a horrid 5 days. I feel a bit like a zombie. In a way it's encouraging because it does feel like the meds are doing something. It's now time to get busy and find the energy to dtd as often as possible.

Browneyed - The suspense must be driving you crazy.

haquoi123 · 04/05/2015 21:47

How does clomid work finding? Sorry to hear it's been tough. How long do you have to dtd?

Tmi, I'm so so gassy! I don't usually have this much of a problem, but it's been non-stop for the last few days!

diamondsparkles · 04/05/2015 22:35

Lol haquoi - nothing is tmi here!
Yes I'm interested how clomid works too finding? Sorry to hear it's made you feel so bad.
Good luck tomorrow brown - hope the nurse can help but if you are testing then fingers crossed for you

Icklepickle101 · 04/05/2015 22:36

Sorry for my absence - it's been a tough few weeks and I haven't wanted to talk about ttc much :(

I'm on CD 48 which is absolute poop, but I have finally come to terms with the fact I'm NOT pregnant!

I have lots of catching up to do, how is everyone?

diamondsparkles · 04/05/2015 22:41

Sorry to hear that ickle -sounds awful for you Sad - no wonder it's been a tough few weeks. So are you going to see a doctor or have you had cycles that long before?
I'm okay, had a lot of confusion with ovulation tests which have basically shown that I don't think I've ovulated this month so just waiting for af which should be about 16 May to start over again - not sure what has happened this month.
