my opk's are confusing me.. can anyone help?

Hey! So for the last few days I've done 7 opks mainly morning then night to try figure out when im ovulating.. at first i did 1 test there was no second red line .. nd then gradually each time I've done it the line is getting darker and darker as is should. . but i thought when you ovulate it only happens for 12-24 hrs? (or that's what read) so how how can it start showing a few days ago and still be getting a darker more prominent now? i have no idea and i dont know who else to ask... can anyone explain this for me?.. it will be much apreciated! im so very confused hehe

The line gradually gets darker as you get closer to ovulating. Around 12-24 hours before you ovulate the test line will become darker than the control line. It is then "positive". You may get a faint line all through the rest of the month.

Thanks it makes alot more sense now!! yepp they are internet cheapie' s from eBay hehe but i did them last month and no line atall appeared but it would have been after i ovulated as it was about 1 week before af.. my most recent one is darker than the test line so hopefully since ive been at it everyday ill hope for a bfp .. suppose we will have to wait and see Thanks so much again

I thought id add a picture to explain what i said... so as you see its gradually getting darker... i did the lastest one about 3hrs ago so am i actually ovulating now?? Or will/can it get darker .. it actually looks alot more dark in real life hehe
