Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

haha, it was very late at night, the neighbours are all old and deaf, and it isn't an overlooked garden due to position at end of cul de sac and some big trees Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 17/04/2015 13:23

Mae I use a sewing machine for all but two sides, then cram in the foam and sew last two sides by hand. It was really quick and good fun! And yes, the fish was me too! Not done anything with it yet, but the machine is out so may well be a weekend project. I guess same principal applies to any animal with scales or feathers... So many possibilities!

I got the sewing machine as a Christmas present. Best present ever.

maemay · 17/04/2015 14:00

Honey I've often wondered about getting a sewing machine, but they're so expensive for it to be something which I might only occasionally use.
I have actually been saying recently that I need a new hobby, so perhaps I shall give it some serious thought!
My sis is looking forward to starting her mat leave (apart from the obvious reason!) so that she can make loads more toys and stuff for the baby.

Ghostintheshell · 17/04/2015 17:26

My dd was a complete shock I need to remember I think :) this thread is right up my street am reading though the thread to get to grips with it all

Hobbit19 · 17/04/2015 18:35

Evening Viroids, maemay, John Lewis do a sewing machine that is aimed at teenagers/beginner sewers but I use it for everything, even quilting, it's just a bit more effort. I love it though AND you can get it in an array of colours and it's relatively cheap for a sewing machine.

Stoat, that is mega shit. When is AF actually due?

5hell WILLIES!!!! (Sorry, that was the only funny thing I could think to say. Sense of humour of a 4 year old boy. No wait, a male of any age.) Also since listening to me waffle on about stuff from mn (mostly fanjos), my miroids has started referring to his disco stick as a 'manjo'. This from the same man who wanted to know if you could get a pjazzle and if I thought he should get one. I am starting to think that DH secretly wants to have a vagina! He literally would not leave the house.

honeysucklejasmine · 17/04/2015 18:59

Oooh Pud! I just started thinking about quilting today. How do people quilt over the patchwork so neatly?! I would not be able to do all those spiral patterns and the like. Is there a trick to it? Do you draw it on or free hand it?

Hobbit19 · 17/04/2015 19:29

Ha honey I just sew in kind of straight lines. MIL does free hand though, I think maybe she has a special machine but not sure. Think she just goes for it! It's really satisfying though, you can make something that looks really detailed quite quickly. Will post a pic of this one to the FB group when it is done.

justtheonethen · 17/04/2015 20:04

I just quilt in straightish lines too. I love it, very satisfying!

honeysucklejasmine · 17/04/2015 20:07

Where do you guys get your batting from?

Hobbit19 · 17/04/2015 20:15

Just from the fabric shop

justtheonethen · 17/04/2015 20:24

Manjo! Grin

justtheonethen · 17/04/2015 20:30

Fabric shop or eBay

Ain626 · 17/04/2015 20:41

Hi Viroids! Just had another quick catch up!!! Sorry for being so rubbish at keeping up with the Fred lately... Too much going on!!!

5hell Daisy and Stoat hope you're all okay. Flowers

Lil happy birthday for yesterday Cake. And did I read that it is Country's birthday today? More Cake.

Hello to city and ghost and any other newbies I may have missed.

Feel the need to join in a little with the dog chat... Was it City who's dog jumped the fence? What kind of dog have you got? did you say? Our old dog jumped the fence at our old house once... (not a really high one, was about 3 and a half or 4 ft tall). She was chasing a squirrel that went from our garden to theirs. The look on her face when she then couldn't work out how to jump back was actually pretty funny! Thankfully we got on well with that neighbour! Our current dog won a prize at a fun dog show last weekend. He basically got it for being cute! Haha.

As for dtd in interesting places... I've become a bit more reserved in my old age but...
...with my ex... various hotel rooms, his boss's car, his car, my car, a swimming pool (on holiday, an almost private pool), the sea (again on holiday - busy beach Shock but I don't think anyone could tell what we were up to!, an alley (classy!)
... with other short term flings... the staff room at work (twice! different guys, different jobs, one was only a BJ does that count?), if BJ's count on a bus... Shock Fuck, I should stop now before you viroids really do think I'm a bit crazy!!! I'm still a bit daring now with DH (in the park anyone?) but reading this back I'm beginning to think I was a bit reckless when I was in my late teens early twenties!!!

I should really stop talking. Really hoping none of you secretly know me in RL now!

Hobbit19 · 17/04/2015 21:00

On a bus?! PMSL!!!!

nutellawithbananas · 17/04/2015 21:00

I've also got that basic johnlewis sewing machine... mines bright red! Bought it to make a patchwork quilt for my daughters bed made from her baby grows and vests. Never used a machine before but it turned out pretty good - had a look at you tube and off I went. I stitched along the squares which is supposed to be the easiest for beginners...

Hobbit19 · 17/04/2015 21:01

Oh yes and birthday Cake for Country. Hope you are having loads of gin lovely!

Hobbit19 · 17/04/2015 21:02

Gorgeous quilt nut, it looks really accurate, well done! My current effort is well spesh!

honeysucklejasmine · 17/04/2015 21:22

Nut that's beautiful! Nice work!

Ain in the staffroom?! Twice?! Shock You hussy! Wink

Ain626 · 17/04/2015 21:31

Haha. I know, I know. Hangs head in shame but a teeny bit pleased by my bad ass young self.

really hastens to add the staff room thing was crappy temp retail jobs when in college/uni

Ain626 · 17/04/2015 21:35

On a more civilised note... Haha... I just realised I've missed out on sewing machine talk. I want one too! Haven't used one since school though and not a clue what to look for when buying one... I would only be an occasional user. Grin any sewing I do currently is done by hand.

Hobbit19 · 17/04/2015 22:04

Ooh get buying sewing machines then Viroids, great fun! Ebay??
