Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ain626 · 10/04/2015 22:24

I'm having a tough evening. No reason for it. At. All.

If anything I should be over the moon ecstatic.

I've had some amazing things happen this week. The biggest most exciting thing with my sister which makes my gynae referal almost insignificant in comparison... how amazing is that!

And yet tonight I feel alone. Almost like I've lost something or someone significant. Which makes no fucking sense!!!

justtheonethen · 11/04/2015 01:40

carrot poas!

ain this week has been an emotional one, you're probably just processing everything that's happened. We are here for you.

I know you are all right, in a couple of days I'll crack on with this cycle and if I get a bfp it won't matter how long it took, I think I'm just being self indulgent.

Honestly don't know how I would go this without you guys. wine

justtheonethen · 11/04/2015 02:19

Go? Do!

honeysucklejasmine · 11/04/2015 07:39

Morning!

Just once you get preg it all melts away, I'm sure.

Talking to midwife friend the other day. She said she never fully relaxes in pregnancy. Apparently the worries are:
4-12 weeks - miscarriage
12-20 weeks - down's syndrome etc
20-30 weeks - premature birth
30-40 weeks - reduced movement and stillbirth.

Sounds like a riot, eh? Hmm

Hobbit19 · 11/04/2015 08:34

Viroids!! I've been away in the wop wops for a week and it has taken me ages to catch up since getting back into signal! Sorry to all of you with AF, especially to those of you who she played cruel tricks on. We had a fab week away and yesterday AF arrived! I thought I was 7dpo! Not heavy yet but pretty sure it is AF and not IB. When I look back at my app though symptoms do suggest I could have iced 14 days ago. We had still dtd at the right time but obviously a no go this cycle. So far I have had 35, 48 and 37 day cycles. Meh. And I didn't apply for a job because interviews are next week and I thought I would be twotting. Waaaaaaaah. Oh well, onwards and upwards, I always liked the idea of being preggers at Christmas and having a spring baby..... Smile

CarrotPuff · 11/04/2015 08:52

Waiting is always a good idea. CD1 today.

Hobbit19 · 11/04/2015 09:08

Boo carrot, Wine and Flowers for you. Xx

LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 09:09

Morning viroids - sorry to those of you with af :( she's an evil uninvited bitch!

just i know you must be so disappointed, enjoy your twpu and then crack on. It can be so demoralising but you'll get there.

ain love you've had an exhausting week and whether you notice at the time or not the emotional stuff can wear you out. No wonder you feel a bit wrung out! Overall a good week though for you so hopefully things are going forward positively Smile

carrot good on you for holding your nerve! Gx

honey yup!! You spend all that time worrying about ttc then most of the pg terrified something will go wrong, then the last bit terrified about the massive thing that's about to happen and whether you're ready for it! I'm entering the last stage just now. Baby is sitting low down so I've got draggy feeling which is bit unnerving, my back is killing me. But my mind is now on the labour bit (eek!) plus the terror of being ready for this massive responsibility!

There is a bit in the middle where you don't worry so much, but then you'll have a day where baby moves less and the paranoia sets in again! I don't think it ever gets any less worrying - my dm said she was more worried about me in my teens than when I was a baby!

Hope you a have a lovely day and your wedding issues get sorted soon jelly. Hopefully you'll start to enjoy the planning again soon

LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 09:09

Oh :( carrot I'm sorry I misread your post - booooo

honeysucklejasmine · 11/04/2015 09:28

Gosh La, your pregnancy is going by so fast! Can't believe how soon you'll be a mummy!

Lookingforadvice123 · 11/04/2015 09:51

5hell I hope everything goes well at your appointment. Some possible reassurance - a friend of mine is 7 weeks Pg and had some pink spotting, panicked and so the doc referred her to the hosp a few days later, she had the scan, didn't need an internal and they could see the little bean and its little flickering heart beat, all good! Fingers crossed you'll be the same!!!!

Sorry to hear about your af just. 5 months isn't too long in the statistical ttc world but I can totally understand as I know for me it would feel like an eternity. I know I'll probably freak (completely unjustified) if I don't fall pg on this 1st cycle! I do wish there was an answer to why it takes some people one month and why it takes some 12, when there's no other factors involved. My mum likes to helpfully remind me that it took her 2 years to fall with her first, and there was nothing wrong medically with her or my dad, and they then went on to have me 2.5 years later. The ttc mystery eh...

jellypi3 · 11/04/2015 10:06

Where's lil

Cork. The Irish riviera.

Hobbit19 · 11/04/2015 13:09

Ladies, clarification needed over here. When does spotting become AF? Periods have been particularly light since coming off BC but this one is taking the biscuit, only apparent when wiping (sorry for the overshare).Come on witch, if you are going to get me at least do it properly so I can move on to the next cycle!!!

honeysucklejasmine · 11/04/2015 13:17

Hope you get so pished that you are sick on your own shoes my love.

This made me laugh so hard! Lil, happy birthday! It's a beautiful day and you're going to be with your friends and family. The only way is up! Smile

fallenstar27 · 11/04/2015 13:40

Hah honey I did the exact same when I read puds words of wisdom.

Still sounds like spotting to me pud, but other than that I have no useful advice.

Today I've come to realise that ttc (& then pregnancy) is essentially one big long waiting game. And I'm the most impatient person in the world.

fallenstar27 · 11/04/2015 13:41

Hope you can enjoy your birthday party lil, do you get to open your presents from dh soon? Wink

5hell · 11/04/2015 13:45

Thanks looking its still lighter than my normal period so trying to maintain pma... pud i know what u mean - what is the definition of spotting?! Its not like you can find anything useful on google images (tho would be bit gross)

So mych worry we all have to look fwd to honey

Happy bday lil - party hard! It may be your last chance!

Just been shopping with DH - knackered so left him to wander homebase alone whilst i MN in the car :)

justtheonethen · 11/04/2015 14:12

Happy birthday lil! Flowers

justtheonethen · 11/04/2015 14:12

Ain626 · 11/04/2015 15:51
