Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

How weird, literally just came on to see if anyone had seen ain! How are you lovely?

justtheonethen · 08/04/2015 22:46

Anyone have acupuncture for ttc?

lildottie · 08/04/2015 23:02

I started acupuncture in November just fin preparation for the ivf cycle. have carried on since too.

WouldRatherHaveWine · 08/04/2015 23:29

5hell hope you are okay and sleeping but agree with the others, request a referral to the EPU of you are worried. I did at 9 weeks for red bleeding and was given a scan.

carrot (I think it was you) I second low GI, the only thing that works for me. I've lost 1.5st recently. Still got a way to go yet!

justtheonethen · 08/04/2015 23:37

Do i need to look for anything particular in an acupuncturist? Good hand eye coordination aside Wink

lildottie · 08/04/2015 23:51

make sure they are registered with the British acupuncture council. and don't commit to block bookings until you are happy with them. first one I had was a but and wanted me to go twice a week plus at £40a pop. my new one is lovely, has experience of infertility herself, is a midwife and I feel really comfortable with her. to me that trust and comfort is the most important thing. I think its common for mws to do acupuncture so maybe ask at gp surgery for a recommendation.

justtheonethen · 09/04/2015 00:18

Thanks lil thats really helpful

lildottie · 09/04/2015 00:22

no probs. any other questions just ask. I did it a few years ago for back problems too. with the right person I swear it really works. my wtf ovulation happened days after my acupuncture and when I was in ivf twit I had really bad trapped wind, by the time I got in the car after the acupuncture session I was farting like a good un! Grin

definitely AF, convertible has pulled up. at least I know my body fucking well, even in a wtf cycle!! onto cycle...... who am I kidding, I gave up counting heads to ff to count them up

MyBlackCat · 09/04/2015 00:23

Aurora I am sadly not a travel writer but I am currently at a luxury 5 star resort. My flight took 1hr 20 mins the language is the same but the currency different. Guess where I am!? I want country and city with no more clues....

Sorry to those viroids struggling tonight xxThanks

lildottie · 09/04/2015 00:25

Inverness, Scotland?

justtheonethen · 09/04/2015 00:28

lil im so sorry about af. There arent words to say how shit it is. I think youre amazing, you are so strong and lovely. It will happen for you and i for one will be cheering hugely for you when it does.
I have a bad back so maybe i could get both sorted! Not sure about trumping though!
Do you take any other vitamins other than folic acid? Seem to remember your dh does-thinking even though there is no known problem it cant hurt to improve sperm?

justtheonethen · 09/04/2015 00:30

Edinburgh? Dublin?

lildottie · 09/04/2015 00:35

dh takes 1000mg vit c as recommended by ivf consultant as well as Wellman conception vits when he remembers or I throw them down his neck!
the vit c is supposed to reduce free radicals and stop bad sperm getting in the way of good sperm. I've read it may be good for egg quality too so I've started taking the 1009mg vit c with my pregnacare this month. protein also very important and studies on ivf patients has shown >25% protein

justtheonethen · 09/04/2015 00:44

Yes it is, thats interesting, ill look into that. Suspect his problem is more psychological though.
Thats fab, dp takes 1000 mg vit c, might start him on wellman conception. I will get pregnacare conception too. Think i need to address my protein/carb ratio Blush

I have also been taking maca, not really for ttc but my friend said it makes you feel great, and it does! Any fertility benefit a bonus!

CountryGal4 · 09/04/2015 07:38

Gals my temp chart is shite post apparent ice. Can you take a look and see if you think I even iced?? Red line is bbt

jellypi3 · 09/04/2015 07:42

Country I'd say you iced on 31st.

OP posts:
CountryGal4 · 09/04/2015 07:45

Post ice temps are rubbish though right? I'm not really sure what they should look like but I reckon they're supposed to be going up not downHmm

Newbies avert your eyes this is contraband

honeysucklejasmine · 09/04/2015 07:50

Country that's not really a strong downward trend... You're nowhere near the cover line. (Pre ice levels). Now, repeat after me. "Temping after ovulation makes Country go crazy" and promise not to do it again!

I'm with my neices today. BigN is chattering away about tiaras and LittleN is spreading cereal around her face.

CountryGal4 · 09/04/2015 07:52

Temping after icing makes country go crazy

I just wanted to make sure my body actually works
