I'm trying to catch up. So far...

Spinning, I'm sorry for sounding patronising when your DH is on an excellent concoction. Yes, 30mg co-enzyme is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike. The Lister actually recommends 300 mg for both men and women, but I haven't been able to source an affordable bottle of the stuff until now. I've chosen co Q10 over DHEA because the latter has no hard evidence to support its benefits for women with diminished ovarian reserve.

Ibeka, I am really so sorry to hear of your mc. You poor thing, they are utterly destroying, but you will bounce back..and you will get your baby Thanks

Boris, your post on the April thread honestly made me weep. The way you expressed yourself was heart-rending. I wish you could become happy in just one of these areas in your life that are sapping your happiness. I wish you lived around the corner so we could have a brew and a squeeze. We love you, you know. No platitudes from me except 'you will get your baby'. There. It can be annoying when people say that, but it's true. How's communication with you and Mr Boz? Thanks

Rainy, no, it's not enough. You might as well sow those tablets in some soil and see if you can grow a baby. In fact, sow 60mg and see if we get twins.

I'm off to hunt down a list I saw recently of the 'essential' supps we and our other halves should be scoffing. It is an insanely long list, but the lady who posted is is pretty much lionised on Fertility Friends for her knowledge. Back soon...

P.s..I've only caught up to page 15 on here...

Is today 11DPO, my love? How do your temps normally behave at 11DPO?

Pikz · 08/04/2015 22:29

Loving the sound of DC Dizzy! Sound like a great new CBeebies show!

ibeka · 08/04/2015 22:32

Purdey thank you. I too would love a supplement list. For me and DP. I know we got pg quickly last time but I want all bases covered! At the risk of sounding think, is q10 fish oil?

Sparkly123 · 08/04/2015 22:44

Ibeka that's outrageous. I can't believe they said that. WHEN you get your next BFP I am sure they will give you an early reassurance scan. Hope this spotting stops soon so you can start to move forward. Maybe you should start OPKs when it does so you know where you are at?? Fingers crossed everything kicks back into action soon for you Flowers

Froggy have you had a drink or ten?! An abyss of cm?! Ha ha ha. At least you are ready to go!!!! Where were you? I'm intrigued!!.. And we don't judge!! much Wink

Greys anatomy time! mummy you watch don't you?!

OP posts:
purdiepie · 08/04/2015 22:53

Eskimo. Spinning. Right. Even better. Here's a list of supps taken by a 44 year-old who just got pregnant:

epo 1 x 1000mg
red clover, 1 x 1000mg
dong quai 1 x 2000mg
agnus castus 2 x 100mg
selenium 1 x 100micrograms
zinc 1 x 15mg
co enzyme q10 1 x 300mg
maca root 1 x 600mg
folic acid 1 x 400mg
l-arginine 1 x 750mg
calcium/magnesium/d3 1 x 200mg/400mg/20 micrograms

I have no idea what the hell dong quai does (other than act in porn movies) and I'm staying away from red clover and agnus castus as I'm very happy with my ov day and cycle length. I definitely need to get on the magnesium. But that's it. I'm sticking with my vit D, folic acid, co-enzyme Q10, maca root, B-complex and omega 3 fish oil. Phew! Add to that magnesium and I'll be rattlin'.

ibeka · 08/04/2015 22:54

sparkly I know. When I can do so wiout crying, I intend to write a complaint to the practice manage. The EPU by contrast, where I was referred by A&E two weeks later after severe cramps, were fantastic. Every doc and nurse I saw was so caring. And the same goes for the staff in day surgery. As was my GP who told me her own MC story and signed me off work for a week when I'd asked for 2 days. I vow never to stray from the NHS again!

boris, I have been spying on the April thread and just read your post. It made me weep (although tbh it doesn't take much these days). Like purdey said, I wish I could give you a big hug. As night said, although I've not been TTCing for long I was begging DP to start TTC for well over a year before he agreed and I can empathise a bit with how impossible it is to think of anything else, especially when being baby bombed at every turn. If any of my students pass their exams this year, it'll be a bloody miracle!

Mummyofonesofar · 08/04/2015 22:57

Nomio I think that's how we all think Gp practices are until we are inside the system. Just ring them and say it is causing a delay in you're treatment and you will contact NHS England to complain if it isn't sorted pronto. Really shit about the house - I hope it comes through good for you.

woolly I am well thanks love, hope you are too.

frog I also want to know where you were? We won't laugh!

sparkly we do but watching season 3 atm as DP has never seen it so started from the beginning.

Purdey should we all be taking all that? And what, if anything can I take to naturally improve my post ov temps, ie my potential progesterone deficiency?

purdiepie · 08/04/2015 22:58

Ooooo! This gets even more interesting: The lady (above) who is old and got pregnant had been trying for eighteen months, but it was only the last three months that she added the following to her list of supplements: L-arginine, co-enzyme q10 and maca root! It woz them wot did it, m'lud.

Rainy34 · 08/04/2015 23:03

purdie the supplement list would be great, so glad we got these buses, i would be lost without all of your help!!

Mummyofonesofar · 08/04/2015 23:05

purdey so this, or is the dosage too high? plus, q10, plus normal conception vits? I'm on seven seas. And does he have to take the same?

Ps - why do the couple of the packet seem to be having such a good time? Hmm

purdiepie · 08/04/2015 23:07

Sorry, still haven't caught up. Please read this to the end (it's long) but this is the 'guru' to whom lots of women have turned due to her knowledge (she tried for years to get pregnant until she researched properly what supps aid conception. She got her baby a few months later).

P.s..It takes 74 days for new sperm to be made. Get your other half on supps NOW!

purdiepie · 08/04/2015 23:08

THE BIG READ ABOUT SUPPS.

Sparkly123 · 08/04/2015 23:12

I meant to post that earlier Purds when we were discussing supplements- two to three months for sperm to be made so basically just now we are on what like, January made sperm?! So basically if your dh takes supplements now ladies it will take a while to kick in so get going!

juneybean · 08/04/2015 23:15

The lady on that bottle is wearing the wrong sized bra

Mummyofonesofar · 08/04/2015 23:21

So b6 will decrease my estrogen and increase progesterone...

Thanks for info Purds x

ibeka · 08/04/2015 23:32

Obviously that bottle is what we all like like when engaging in TTC rumpy..... Hmm

ibeka · 08/04/2015 23:33

look like

purdiepie · 08/04/2015 23:54

Ibeka, what a monster that sonographer was Sad

Nomio, sweethearts like you always get what they want in the end. There's a baby and a gorge house coming your way!!

Pikz, lovely girl, did you read Cariad's pregnancy tidbits and helpful hints? She only has one fallopian tube, remember? So do you and I, right? Well, her consultant told her that, when we have only one functioning tube, and it's the opposite side ovary that releases an egg, it takes longer than usual for the working tube to swing over to pick up that egg. He said that, with this in mind, one-tube women should have sex a day or two beyond ovulation to allow for this delay in pick-up. Fascinating, no? I love it! Smile

purdiepie · 09/04/2015 00:01

Howling at Juney's, four-tits observation Grin

Ibeka, this is like me and DH just before sex at ovulation time (except we are Asian).

Nomio230 · 09/04/2015 00:05

Awww, Purdey, you always say such lovely things. I am confident that you will get your baby too. Especially after reading about the tube swinging over. That is really good news, as it means you are in with a chance every month after all. Yay!

The list of supplements that lady took is quite incredible. I think it would cost about £100 a month & take all day to swallow them!

I am currently taking Pregnacare, 1000mg of Maca Root, 50mg B6 & I was taking Co Q10, but have run out. Plus eating Brazil nuts. I also have DH on Zinc, multi vitamins & the Q10, plus the nuts.

Mummy, thanks for the NHS advice. I will try that tomorrow.

I would definitely recommend the B6 if you have a short LP. It seemed to lengthen mine last month.

Nomio230 · 09/04/2015 00:11

I just had to go on the desktop site to check out those pics. love the one on the bottle! That is exactly how TTC sex is in our house.Wink

Ibeka, I have been meaning to say all day, I am so angry at the way you were treated. Anyone with an ounce of compassion would have been sympathetic and helpful. I am so sorry you had to go through that. ??

Sparkly123 · 09/04/2015 00:29

ibeka wow. Amazing from the NHS that's really great , your gp sounds brilliant. It's such a difficult time, you need to be met with respect and compassion and I'm so glad they delivered on that. Hope the physically healing speeds up for you and know we are all here for you Flowers

Purds I'm so excited about the tube swap isn't it great?! I was so surprised when my friend told me. Instantly thought of you!

I wonder whether I should be thinking about any of these supplements. I don't think I've mentioned before to you all but I have extremely low Vitamin b12 count and don't absorb it due to an antibody in my blood. So basically no matter how much I eat it ain't gonna get in there. I found this out in December and gp wasn't sure whether to start the treatment..(injections into the muscles)when TTC helpful Hmm after speaking with fertility clinic they said I should start them and they are ok whilst pregnant so should be ok when TTC. The issue is, I'm beyond sensitive to any drugs/medication/supplementation so basically it could make me quite unwell or have a bad relapse. So it's a gamble. But the alternative is to do nothing, which ain't great either. However, I'm just concerned about doing anything to mess things up again at this point in TTC and wonder whether I should leave it a couple months.. Urgh it's a toughie. Don't know. Ok I'm thinking out loud now.. Please ignore me! Ha. I just have a niggle in my mind as I know Bvits are important and mine are ..well, non existent!
