AF late and still a BFN

Hi, this is my first post so sorry if this has been discussed recently.

I usually have a 37 day cycle have I'm now on day 43 and still no sign of AF, I've tested this morning using a Clearblue and got a BFN. Should I see a doctor incase anything is wrong?

Is it possible to skip a period?

We started TTC in Jan x

It can take longer to get a positive show up, it's very individual - I would just wait and try another test in a few more days provided you have no symptoms suggesting there is a problem. Fingers crossed for you

My BFP showed up 11 days after AF was due, I got negatives until that point. Turns out I had ovulated the day before AF was due. I'm now 31 weeks.

I spent the majority of last night googling this. The consensus was that some were getting BFNs for over a month of AF being overdue before getting a BFP to show up on a HPT. Advice was to wait a week since testing before re-testing with a HPT or to be more accurate, get a blood test at your doctor's as this can pick up a BFP when there are low levels of pregnancy hormones in your bloodstream. Baby dust!!

It is possible to skip a period, women can have up to two anovulatory cycles a year and is totally normal

If you ovulated late for any reason AF could be delayed, it sounds like you are usually regular but when we were ttc DD2 I ov'd anywhere between CD10 and CD25 (the delayed one - CD25 - I'm pretty sure was down to having flu mid cycle) Take another test in a week's time.

I Have a very regular short cycle which was 6 days late (has never ever happened to me!) - AF showed last night. Was holding off til this morning to test again (had 2 negatives through the week) I'd hold off for a few more days incase it comes-not worth getting hopes up for the witch to ruin it all good luck!!!!
