althought we are not meant to be trying for a baby until the new year, we had sex 7 days before ovulation and now 4days after ovulation I have had a metallic taste in my mouth all day yesterday and still here today. Is it too early for this to be a pregnancy sign?

not necessarily too early, but if you only had sex 7 days before ovulation, and not after that then I don't think you could be PG, since sperm only survive five days.

it is highly unlikely, especially if you know when you ovulate that you are pregnant...as the sperm unlikely to live that long.Unless yo ovulated at a different time...

pregnancy hormones strong enough to detect in urine at about 14 days post ovulation...so 4 days after would be very early...unless you had ovulated sooner...

itis possible I ovulated earlier as I didn't test, I didn't think a metallic taste would become apparent this early if I was pg

its hard to say...some women never get the metallic taste!! guess you'll have to do the waiting game.....sorry not to be more helpful..

Mind you my Family planning nurse was telling me about "super-sperm" last time I saw her (to have coil out), she said some sperm can last 7 days!!!!

Hi

I had an obvious metallic taste in my mouth probably about a week after conception.

Unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 9weeks, but either way, it was the metallic taste that made me suspect I was pg before I tested!

If you are pg, I would assume you must have ovulated earlier than you thought?
