TTC Baby number two. I've just done two superdrug tests (dye) got a strong positive and a fainter (didn't have much we left!) positive. I was so happy so rushed out to boots bought a clear blue digital and got a 'not pregnant' - what is going on??? I feel a bit different and we are TTC SO confused!!!

I think the super drug ones are more sensitive. Maybe try another vlearblue tomorrow morning

I just did a first response test and it was negative altho it is late in the day. I'm starting to wonder whether the two superdrug positives earlier were a false alarm :(

When is your period due? How many days ago did you ovulate?

oneconfusedchick · 03/04/2015 18:58

I'm on CD 36 now. My periods have ranged from 33-38 days but last month I didn't have a period until CD48 hence why I'm not sure if I am due on or not !

I do not know when I ovulated

2 false positives is incredibly unlikely. It's weird you got a negative on a FRER. Try another FRER first thing tomorrow. Good luck.

2 positives is definitely a good sign! I have heard that CB digital are a bit less sensitive. Good luck Flowers

I did notice that I got a strong line on the superdrug one the first time. I then tested 10 min later with a superdrug one and obviously not as much urine and it was lighter but still a line - soooo my urine was even more diluted I guess when I did the first response ... Could this effect the tests ? I'm gonna retest in the morning

Yes diluted wee will affect it.

It's mix more common to get a false negative than a false positive :)

Quick update. First response and clear blue still negative this morning guess I just got a false positive yesterday

I just did another superdrug test and it was negative :( do gutted bit confused as I did have two positives yesterday with the same brand!! Any ideas what caused this?

confused that sucks. I'd also be confused. If the superdrug ones were from exactly the same batch they could both be faulty BUT it is very unlikely I think. If you have a nice gp who sympathized with your long cycles, I'd pop in for a blood test ASAP which should clear things up pronto!
