Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Easter Smile

Looks like from my chart that my temperature took a nose dive 2 days after Ovulation so I'll be able to tell quite soon next month to save me from going through the 2ww again! I think the delayed ovulation from the time I saw a LH surge has something to do with the failure. As DH has put it...my body just hasn't returned to normal since stopping bf and hormones are still settling. Maybe he's right Confused

Mumof1sofar · 04/05/2015 08:28

Ahh pear, sorry to hear you've been upset! This ttc lark can get really hard. Belated happy birthday Smile

I've got a problem that I think someone here had recently, can't remember who though! I've been using the digital opks & have had blank smileys/low fertility so haven't dtd once this cycle so far. Then this morning I suddenly got a peak/fixed smiley! ??!!! We're away & not back home til the evening. Will it be too late by then? So annoying ConfusedConfusedConfused

Leamice · 04/05/2015 16:57

Thats annoying Mummo, I think it was Pear who's test went straight to peak fertility, skipping out high? Hopefully it won't be too late to catch the egg, I think ovulation can be up to 48hours after LH surge so I'd think you're still in with a good chance.

peardrop2 · 04/05/2015 18:57

Thank you Mumofone. It was me who went for days with nothing and then I suddenly got a peak on Cd20 in April. Listen, don't panic. It's completely out of control. DTD as soon as you can and just keep going for a couple of days. Like me you might find that you don't ovulate for another couple of days anyway! It's just the sign that ovulation is about to happen...it doesn't mean it's happened. Stay calm Smile easier said then done I know Wink

Mumof1sofar · 04/05/2015 21:40

Pear how do you know you didn't ov til 2 days after? We dtd so fx Smile

peardrop2 · 04/05/2015 22:04

Mumof1 - because I was temping and my temperature didn't go up until a couple of days after my LH surge (probably too many days to make conception work). I'm not saying that this will happen to you, I'm just saying don't panic because you probably won't OV until tomorrow or the day after. I know when I see a peak I go into mega panic mode and visualise the egg leaving at that very precise moment Wink

Mumof1sofar · 04/05/2015 23:41

Thanks pear Smile

peardrop2 · 05/05/2015 06:59

Mumof1 - what cd did you get your peak? Is it earlier then last month?

peardrop2 · 05/05/2015 07:30

Yesterday we went on a family outing with another couple who have 2 children (4 & 2). I was saying to DH last night that it felt so weird that we still only have 1 compared to them. We were able to give so much attention to our DS between us that a lot of the time I sort of looked around for our other child. Only because they had 2 and we had 1...I'm not going crazy yet Wink

auxiliaryauroch · 05/05/2015 08:09

Hallo girls!
Sorry to hear about temping dramas!
AF got me again crying inconsolably at 8dpo but it certainly is an improvement on my lp. And I had an earlyish ov too. Have deliberately not bf for five days and think this is it this time. Sad DC has been asking but gives up more quickly. As if DC isn't sure the memory of bfing is actually accurate. Poor mite.

auxiliaryauroch · 05/05/2015 08:10

Am back on the soy for another cycle. Will take my third dose tonight and hoping for an earlier ov and longer lp again.

Trinpy · 05/05/2015 08:10

Hello everyone! Can I join please? I posted on this thread back in Jan to ask a couple of questions and said I'd be back later this year when we started ttc...and here I am! Was planning to wait until the summer but have been spurred on by broody feelings after the royal birth.

Ttc dc#2. Ds is 13 months and still bf 3-4 times a day. Last cycle was 2.5 months long so I'm not holding out any hope for a bfp soon but here to enjoy the ride anyway!

auxiliaryauroch · 05/05/2015 08:28

Hi trin my DC is also 13 months. :)

autonomousplum · 05/05/2015 09:03

FYI ####name change###. New cycle. New life.

Apparently colours and foodgroups are hot for getting bfps these days. Grin

Ah yes I forgot ruth we are all in exactly the same boat! Grin
I'm currently recommending the soy based on this month's earlier ov by six days and extending lp from 5 days to 7 days after taking it. Worth a try for you maybe?

Mumof1sofar · 05/05/2015 14:08

Pear, my peak was cd15 - nearly a week earlier than last month.

Mumof1sofar · 05/05/2015 14:12

Auto/Aux, sorry the witch got you. Sounds like giving up BF-ing is going well - well done you Smile Did you replace with cows milk?

Welcome trinpy & good luck Grin My dc is 12 months so a similar age.

Mumof1sofar · 05/05/2015 15:08

Ugh 2 friends have just announced their pregnancies... Feel a bit crap. EnvyEnvy

Leamice · 05/05/2015 16:51

Hi Trin Smile

The Soy seems to be doing some good Auto, I may have to try some next cycle... (if it ever comes)

I so know the feeling Mumo! my FB news feed seems heaving with 12 week scan pics at the moment! Obviously Im happy for people, especially when its their first but cant help feeling very envious!

MarysPrayer · 05/05/2015 21:35

Evening everyone, welcome Trinpy.

Aux sorry abut AF. Colours and foodgroups hey? I might have to change my name to something luckier.

Sympathies to those surrounded by pregnancy announcements - it's a bit like that for here atm. Feeling very Envy

I may have stopped breastfeeding Sad We have only been doing the bedtime feed for the last month or so but, as dh is home for dd's bedtime this week, we thought we'd try letting him put her down. Bless her, she asked 'where mummy' once or twice and asked for some cuddles. I did go up to cuddle her but she settled just fine. She's 2 1/2 today.
I may sneak in a feed tomorrow - for old time's sake!

MarysPrayer · 05/05/2015 22:24

Sorry for typos Blush must proofread

Mumof1sofar · 05/05/2015 22:29

Lea I feel the same - I'm happy for people but I really wish it was me! A friend made a big deal about not wanting to try til her dc turned 1 then fell pg first time trying Envy

Trinpy · 06/05/2015 10:21

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Nice to see there are others with similar aged dc.

It's so confusing having messed up cycles, isn't it? Trying to work out when ovulation might happen is currently bordering on the impossible! I'm sorry to hear some of you are having trouble with very short lp too; makes everything so much harder.

autonomousplum · 06/05/2015 13:07

mary Shock at bf. Sometimes these things just happen. Would be great if one can just blank out the cute gestures and babble from the DC though. Sad
leam let me know
mumo I'm giving daytime bottles and drinks of cows milk and a midnight and early morning bottle of readymade carton formula as it is easier to just tear open a carton and decant than to traipse downstairs to get fresh milk. so lazy
Yesterday DC was very sad about not having bf though. Weakly and sadly clawed at my top. bawls eyes out at memory
