Mumof1sofar · 21/04/2015 13:44

Haha pear, I love it too!Grin

peardrop2 · 21/04/2015 13:44

Mum - what cd day have you OV?

peardrop2 · 21/04/2015 14:16

If it was me I would begin testing on cd 12 if you normally OV after cd 14

peardrop2 · 21/04/2015 14:23

DH is on his way home Grin For once I've made some good decisions today. Cancelling visiting friends and keeping up DS so I can put him down later Wink Woop woop!!

Mumof1sofar · 21/04/2015 14:29

Last cycle I ov'd cd21, not sure about the previous cycle.

Mumof1sofar · 21/04/2015 14:29

Glad your dh is coming home WinkWink

peardrop2 · 21/04/2015 14:36

OK well my CBFM asked me for sticks from cd10.

peardrop2 · 21/04/2015 15:43

Thanks Mumo Smile This is the best bit isn't it...when you achieve Dtd and know that you're in for a chance.

peardrop2 · 21/04/2015 18:14

Why does sperm not stay up where it's meant to be? Sooooo annoying! Like we don't need anymore stress of 'what could go wrong' to add to the pot! DH keeps assuring me that all the good guys spring first so some stuff will come out but I never believe it!

Mumof1sofar · 21/04/2015 18:44

I always lie on a pillow for a good 15 mins afterwards pear (good excuse for some peace & quiet!)Smile

peardrop2 · 21/04/2015 20:10

Mumof1 - I was lying for 1 hr and still ....! The only way I can assure it stays up is by Dtd at night time but I'm sure even then it still leaks. DH is probably right!

Mumof1sofar · 21/04/2015 20:29

You can buy those soft cups to keep it in! Never tried it but know other people have.

AvaAmulet · 21/04/2015 20:34

Pear, I was misinformed! You're right, the male swimmers are quicker but more fragile, it's the females that are slower but stronger. Duh, had it the wrong way round all this time Confused

peardrop2 · 21/04/2015 20:48

Ava I thought so Wink

Mumofone - Yeah but even with a mooncup surely it would just sit in the cup and it's got to come down sometime no? The blobby stuff is just the home for the little swimmers isn't it?!

Oh well...I tried and I haven't got much hope that this is my month anyway! I should probably ring up Clearblue to chase my box!

Mumof1sofar · 21/04/2015 21:50

It only takes 1 time, pear Smile

Grr ttc definitely can drag on though can't it! I want to be pregnant already lol! Smile

peardrop2 · 22/04/2015 07:49

So my temp has not shot up this morning. In fact it's gone down a tad from 37.05 to 37.04. Nothing major. The CB sticks lines are not as strong as yesterday. Yesterday lines were very strong and matching. I guess I just need to stick with the Dtd plan and be patient Wink

GreatAuntDinah · 22/04/2015 11:05

Hi everyone, I've been pointed here from the TTCing over 40 thread. My DS is 17 months, conceived with IUI as I have low ovarian reserve due to being oooooooold (DS conceived when I was 38). Anyway I'm still BFing, we both love it and I'm not ready to stop, but time is not on my side in TTCing #2.

I was down to mornings and evenings but have been BFing more in the last couple of weeks as DS has been unsettled by holidays / teeth / MMR jab.

My periods haven't returned yet. Gynae gave me 2 x Duphaston for ten days (I don't think it's used in the UK? I'm abroad) to kickstart them but it hasn't worked. She's looking into it for me but just wondering if anyone had had any similar experience?

GreatAuntDinah · 22/04/2015 11:07

Oh and forgot to say, bloods show I'm not menopausal. thank fuck

peardrop2 · 22/04/2015 14:22

Hi GreatAuntD - I haven't got any advice other then to say that for me AF returned when DS was 14 months and doing two feeds a day (7am & 7pm). Everybody is different but for me I had to quit bf at 22 months (DS is now 23months) as it was clear that my body is effected by bf and as my mother wisely said I had to stop If I wants a baby. You may find that you need to cut down feeds more in order to get AF back but I know how hard that is! Especially when they're teething and poorly or just not sleeping!

peardrop2 · 22/04/2015 14:36

Oh and don't assume that just because AF is back that you'll fall pregnant. It then seems to take some people (like myself) more time for their cycles to settle down!

peardrop2 · 22/04/2015 14:38

My mum swears that in her day they used bf as a contraception! The opposite to what we're advised! Perhaps it's only 80% effective!

GreatAuntDinah · 22/04/2015 15:05

don't assume just because AF is back that you'll fall pregnant

Ha, fat chance. We'll probably have to go for IUI again at the very least.

peardrop2 · 22/04/2015 15:19

Sorry GreatAunt didn't mean that to sound patronising...it's just that I assumed it Smile I guess you're feeling very torn right now!
