Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Easter Smile

Yeah, Leam, I'd never considered half-width lines as being positive before, and I'm only hopeful that they may have indicated that ov was approaching this cycle (and I just missed the definite positive) because my temperature has shot up today. Not totally convinced though Confused

Thanks, Zoo x

Duchess, I didn't get any pg symptoms with DD until 5/6wks, also I've read that some women don't suffer as much with nausea whilst pg and still bf'ing as progesterone is lower? I'd just enjoy this symptom-free time and try not to worry Smile Flowers x

Has anyone here taken epo? I know not to take it after ov, but just wondering if you know how much to take before ov to help with cm? I have always had a lot of ewcm throughout my cycle but I know that the soy have had some effect because I've completley dried up! Hmm not ovulated or close to a posive opk yet so it might show up then but I thought might take some epo just in case. Any thoughts?

auxiliaryauroch · 19/04/2015 19:16

Ava am confused by yor half lines?

Mumof1sofar · 19/04/2015 19:41

Glad to hear all is well, duchess. How come your Dr is taking such a long time to see you? Also please can you remember how many dpo you got your bfp? (Sorry, so many questions!)

Thanks aux. superdrug are doing an offer on hpts atm so I've stocked up! Think I'll do 1 tmrw then each morning until af arrives!! BlushBlush

Aux what is epo? No idea I'm afraid but I can recommend preseed if you need anything like that! Hope you ov soon Smile

MarysPrayer · 19/04/2015 19:54

EPO = evening primrose oil (I think?) Haven't tried it, although have thought about it as it's supposed to be good for migraines.

Ooh, mumo what's the offer on hpts?

AvaAmulet · 19/04/2015 19:59

Aux, with the ic opks sometimes the test line appears half strong/half feint, it looks like an evap line, but it's not. The skinny line (half the width of the test line) appears straight away and is often darker than the control line. Not sure if I'm explaining it well?? You can google images of this, it seems to confuse a lot of ladies Confused I'd never considered them to be positives before, and some women say they are, some say they're not...some say it depends on the brand of opk...Hmm

Mumof1sofar · 19/04/2015 21:46

Mary it's buy 1 get 1 half price Smile

peardrop2 · 19/04/2015 23:26

Ava - sounds like you Dtd loads and at the right time. You can relax now Wink I'm sad that I've lost my POAS buddy though Wink I'll have to find someone else!! Smile

Mumof1 - well done with your POAS bargain. Now wait until Tuesday. Hide the sticks, quick Wink

So, DH came home late from work and has mentioned that he's been thinking that it's a real positive to have two children as tonight when he was walking through departures at the airport he saw an 8 year old walk into a shop with a 4 year old and thought it was good that the 8 year old was looking after the 4 year old and maybe our son will do that one day too. Anyone else totally baffled by his thought process? lol Glad to hear he's still on board for wanting no2...maybe by this time next year he will have reached desperation stage Wink

Another friend with a newborn has invited us for a play date. Am I a bad person for wanting to delay it just in case I ovulate this week?! DH has Wednesday and Thursday off so I kind of want to keep my plans free just in case. Feel bad though as really I should go and see her Blush I'll wait until the morning results before making a decision ??

peardrop2 · 19/04/2015 23:28

Aux - sorry I have not taken epu.

AvaAmulet · 20/04/2015 00:19

Pear, I think our other halves are just more laid back about ttc in general, it's not at the forefront of their minds like it is for us Hmm unless something triggers the thought to occur to them, like your DH at the airport (or when my DH sees DD with her baby niece) - keep reminding him of that lovely image to keep the idea at the front of his mind - it's what you're working desperately hard to achieve every month lol! And I think the idea that a 3/4 year age gap, where the older child can look after the little 'un is really nice, and I can definitely see the pros now I've missed my desired 2 year gap, so I'm with your DH there Wink

I'll be testing on 1st of May if AF hasn't arrived on 30th March as expected. I can't test on 30th as I'll be at work. On the 1st May DH and I are taking DD to a show, so we'll either be celebrating, or the show will act as a lovely distraction from my bfn Hmm

AvaAmulet · 20/04/2015 00:23

Oh forgot to add, it definitely would not make you a bad person if you chose to postpone the visit to ttc Wink x

Mumof1sofar · 20/04/2015 08:17

Pear you def would not be a bad person if you delayed it!

Grr 12dpo & another bfn for me Hmm

Leamice · 20/04/2015 08:25

Pear, I'd probably reschedule the playdate, can you do it the following week? definitely not a bad person.

Mumo Sorry for the bfn, but you're still not out yet! with my ds i had BFNs until 13dpo where I had the faintest line on a FRER, then 14dpo had a faint line, 15dpo was a nice line.

Aux, Ive been taking EPO as had some left from the end of pregnancy when i was taking it to ripen cervix. I read that if you take up until ovulation it helps with your fertile CM... who knows if it works or not figured can't hurt and that way I won't waste it as goes out of date at end of year.

Mumof1sofar · 20/04/2015 09:26

Thanks Lea.

Mumof1sofar · 20/04/2015 10:09

I've just had a bit of spotting so I think af is definitely on her evil way Confused

Mumof1sofar · 20/04/2015 11:14

Ok full blown af... I'm definitely out this month Hmm

Leamice · 20/04/2015 12:48

Sorry Mumo!! Bloody hate AF! Were you due today or is she surprising you early?

Mumof1sofar · 20/04/2015 14:10

This was only my second cycle since af returned so still not sure of average cycle length but today is 14 days since I got my fixed smiley so the timing is right. Oh well! My dd turns 1 in a couple of weeks so at least I'll be able to enjoy that without any morning sickness or anything! Have ordered some more preseed & opks for next month! How's everyone else doing?

peardrop2 · 20/04/2015 15:39

Oh mumof1 Hmm so sorry! You sound positive about moving forward though. Onwards and upwards hey! Perhaps it's because you've got a happy occasion on the way to focus on with your dd. That always helps a lot Smile Did you sign up to be a Clearblue tester in the end or was that someone else?

Ava - thanks...you make good points about DH Wink

Thanks to everyone suggesting that I postpone the play date and not feel guilty about it Smile I can be far too sensitive and nice sometimes! In RL anyway Grin On here I'm just far too open and always thinking naughty thoughts like damn you for getting your BFP first!! Heehee GrinGrin So, I've decided to go ahead with play date on the basis that if I did OV this week then I would want to Dtd in the evening anyway so it's OK that I'm out in the day and mainly because the next time she can fit me in will be the week AF is due and we all know what happened when I had a newborn play date at that time last time!! Definitely best to learn from my mistakes and see newborns when I'm in a good happy place!

Today has been a nightmare for me with DS literally tearing the house apart this morning and being a monkey left right and centre. He is now napping TG! It has made me think that maybe nature has got it. right and I need a bigger age gap to cope!!

AvaAmulet · 20/04/2015 16:38

Sorry you're out, Mumo Sad Glad you're focussing on the positives though Wink x

Mumof1sofar · 20/04/2015 17:44

Thanks ladies. I have had the form through from CB but haven't filled it in yet... Will do now.

Mumof1sofar · 20/04/2015 17:45

Hope DS hasn't worn you out too much, pear & that's good you're going on the play date.

auxiliaryauroch · 20/04/2015 19:52

Thanks for the replies guys! I wasn't sure how much to take so I've one for 1000mg per day. Hope I don't turn into a primrose! Hmm
mumo sorry about af. It's rubbish I know. We all know. Aaaa-aaaah just thinking about af appearing again this month is awful and I'm only on cd14 I think with no ov in sight. Hope you're having a glass of wine to celebrate.
pear sending play date hugs.
ava Flowers
And Flowers to everyone else too! Smile may your tuesday be super wherever you are!

peardrop2 · 20/04/2015 20:44

Mumof1 - I'm absolutely shattered! Have managed to persuade DH to go and buy naughty fish and chips as I just can't face cooking or anything related to the kitchen Wink

peardrop2 · 20/04/2015 20:49

TMI alert. I'm starting to see a little change in cm. Very exciting! Now I just need to see a change in the cbfm and I'll be Smile

I shared my TTC battle with a close friend today. She was so sympathetic & it was lovely to say it out loud to someone who didn't judge me for wanting it sooooo bad. She really wasn't aware that bf could have that strong effect on conception so I'm glad it's not just me Wink
