Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Easter Smile

Pear, the photos on that link are exactly what her cheeks looked like!

Mumof1sofar · 17/04/2015 18:51

It sounds really scary... Can be really dangerous if pregnant Confused

MrsMoo3 · 17/04/2015 19:15

Oh mum that's rubbish. Typical for it to be this month! Sounds like you've got all the info now and as you say if you were going to get it would probably have some symptoms by now. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

Congratulations Speck. That's amazing news. Thank you so much for sharing. Gives me hope.

Just started night feeding again as DS has a horrible cold and wouldn't settle at all. However the break does seem to have made him wake up less. So at least some progress!!

What does everyone have planned for the weekend?

Mumof1sofar · 17/04/2015 20:18

Thanks mrsmoo Smile

Duchess007 · 17/04/2015 20:35

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind I'm still checking in on how you are all doing Smile

Congratulations Spek, that's such great news! Thanks

Pear, it sounds like some time away from MN has done you good. Hope you're ok. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that your BFP will come soon.

Mumo, my DD had slapped cheek earlier this year and I had to let a pregnant friend know as the rash showed up literally a day after we saw her. She had a blood test which showed she was already immune to it and her Doctor said that most people already have immunity, so fingers crossed you've been exposed to it already during your childhood. My DD was poorly for a couple of days but I just thought it was a mild cold until the rash appeared. All of her symptoms and the presentation of the rash was absolutely textbook and she was back to her normal self really quickly. I hope your LO will be ok soon!

Leamice · 17/04/2015 20:53

Congratulations on the BFP Speck!

Mumof1sofar · 17/04/2015 21:03

Thanks duchess. She's just so tearful & not herself at all. Also feeding more than usual (but less solids) & waking up all the time at night Confused Really hope it passes soon.

Mumofone - well it's good you have all the knowledge and no symptoms. Let's keep all our fingers and toes crossed that it stays that way Wink

Duchess - glad to hear you're doing well and things continue to progress

Speck - Congratulations (even though I don't remember you on the thread and now I feel like I'm congratulating someone I don't know) Sorry if I've got that wrong.

MrsMoo - well done on the sleep progression! Always lovely when you see a difference and my goodness does it help!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. As you know I've been feeling very low about not getting a BFP but I'm trying my best to stay positive about the future. I've been told by Clearblue that they don't allow women to use their products for at least two months after they've finished bf as they believe it takes that long for you cycle to settle (I told them a porky and said I had finished bf way earlier). That piece of news hit me hard and has made me feel less hopeful about this month which is sort of a good thing as I'm trying to not get my hopes up so high this time.

MrsMoo- No major plans this weekend. DH will be working for most of it so I will probably entertain DS at the playground or at the ducks. Nice and chilled. I also want to stock up on summer vests as if haven't sorted the summer wardrobe yet. Brought DS his summer sandals today Smile

Mumof1sofar · 17/04/2015 23:07

Pear are you tracking your cycle at all this month? Apologies if you've already said!

AvaAmulet · 17/04/2015 23:22

Spek thanks for the update and congratulations! Grin Can I just ask how old you are (if you don't mind me asking) and how often you are / were feeding your lo? Sorry if your stats are posted somewhere and I missed it...

My DD is about to turn 2 and is still a total boob monster at times Hmm I am still hoping she's going to self wean soon, as I've been trying to cut down on feeds over the last couple of months and feel I'm losing the battle most days lately Confused

I've read that natural child spacing means that lo's are spaced about 3 years apart, a big part of me really, really hopes I'll get my bfp when DD is around 2.4 even if I haven't managed to completely wean by then.... Blush x

spekulatius · 17/04/2015 23:45

Peardrop, have only been here for a short while and not lately as I was getting worried that im not as 'technical' about the whole thing as you guys areSmile And felt a bit lost with terminology, was constantly looking back ti check what people were actually saying.

Ava I'm 32 yrs old. Little one is 2.4 and feeds maybe 2-3 times a day plus usually stays latched on during her not and 2-6 times during the night. I've only had 3 periods since having her, very irregular, just tried to DTD every other day. HTH

AvaAmulet · 17/04/2015 23:45

Mrs Moo - Hope your lo's cold is better soon Flowers I'm getting my hair done tomorrow day time while DH takes DD to the park (I'd rather be at the park too though Hmm) then in the evening we're babysitting my 2 month old niece Smile Sunday we're visiting friends Cake Hope the weather stays nice for everyone x

AvaAmulet · 17/04/2015 23:53

Thanks for sharing Spek! Much appreciated! Sorry to hear you got lost amidst the terminology Blush I've been ttc #2 for so long I've even started using mn terminology in real life... But I'm just very sad ... (And very embarrassed talking about 'cm' and 'dtd' etc in RL lol!) Wink x

peardrop2 · 18/04/2015 03:42

Ava - haha! I sometimes find myself saying "Dtd" out loud to Dh and he looks at me weirdly Blush I have to stop myself saying AF in RL too! If that 3 year natural spacing thing is true then I've still got 4 cycles left before getting my BFP Hmm (August is when I fell pregnant with DS). I really don't want them to share the same birthday though so I will definitely keep trying Smile

Mumof1 - Not tracking my cycle? Have you gone mad? ShockGrin Yes I'm still using my CBFM everyday, I'm trying to temp but that doesn't seem to be working very well (especially when I wake up with a bad dream and then start typing on here at 3:20am Blush). Also checking my My Days app just to see if any pattern has changed since the last zillion times I've checked it. Oh and I'm also guilty of looking at the pregnancy calculator at least twice a week Sad SmileWink

Spek - Ahhh thanks for the reminder. Sorry I am so rubbish at remembering names! We're the same age Smile but my DS is 23 months not 2.4 like you and I'm not bf anymore so slightly different stats. Well done on Dtd every other day...that takes effort Wink

Mumof1sofar · 18/04/2015 06:11

I've almost said 'dtd' to dh in RL too!!!

Haha pear, I thought you were! So are you on flashing smileys yet? Fx for your bfp very soon SmileSmile Btw what did you dream about?

Ava, enjoy having your hair done Smile Lovely to have some me time!

Duchess how is everything with you?Smile

Hope everyone else is doing well. I think dd may be on the road to recovery as she has slept through the night SmileSmileSmile I, on the other hand, woke at 5 & can't get back to sleep! I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend!

AvaAmulet · 18/04/2015 08:58

Pear, got my bfp with DD in August 2012 as well (the 18th to be a bit too precise)- weird that our cycles seem to be quite similar now too... Shock I wouldn't ideally want my DCs sharing a birthday either but we also said a while back we'd like to avoid a christmas baby and we still ended up putting a lot of effort into having a christmas baby lol! I'm sure whenever I finally get my bfp now all ideas I currently have in my head re certain months being 'better' will go out the window Wink Oh, and on that note, I only have one more chance cycle after this to conceive and have a baby while I'm still 35 (the age I'd always envisaged having my second dc) Blush x

Thanks Mumo, Smile I'm awful though - I don't really see the hairdressers part if it as 'me' time, just a necessary, time-consuming inconvenience every 2-3 months when I could be doing other things in that 2.5 hours Shock It's only really that, AF and hypermesis that makes me Hmm that I'm a girl lol! The coffee, cake and catch up with my sis part of it is nice though Wink x

Im so glad it's not just me with the mn acronyms in RL, guys - I feel much better knowing that Grin I bet I am the only one who sometimes thinks naming my daughter Deedee would have been easier though haha Grin x

Still not ov'd yet here Confused hope everyone else is okay though x

Mumof1sofar · 18/04/2015 12:04

Haha at Deedee, Ava! Grin

peardrop2 · 18/04/2015 13:43

Mumof1 - oh good...glad you see the light with dd! How annoying is it when your body wakes up anyway grrrrr!! Confused only 2 more morning until you can test Wink I'm not using the smiley sticks. I'm using the CbFM sticks so I only get lows, highs or peaks. Still only showing lows but hey it's only 17dpo and my body is clearly not going to ov early this month boo hoo!

Ava - ha that is funny! Our children must have similar birthday dates then! Hope you did manage to enjoy the "me time" at the hairdressers! I totally know what you mean about conceiving on all months anytime mantra now...it's hard to be that relaxed about it all though! If this is my lucky month then I should get the happy news the day after my birthday.

peardrop2 · 18/04/2015 13:45

Oh and Ava...I thought you had OVd? Are your IC OPks sticks just looking darker? Still in for a chance at poas at the same time then am I Smile

Mumof1sofar · 18/04/2015 15:34

That's such an exciting thought, pear. But funnily enough if I'm not pregnant this is the 1 month where I don't think I'll be too upset after all these virus issues! When do you usually ovulate?

Is anyone testing before me? I'm poas on Tuesday!

peardrop2 · 18/04/2015 16:26

Mumofone - the last 3 cycles I've ovulated or got peaks on these days. I wish I knew what April will bring. I'm guessing it will be in the 20's?!?!

Jan - cd 19
Feb - cd 24
March - cd 27

peardrop2 · 18/04/2015 16:33

If you remember last month I started getting highs on my monitor on cd 13 and it lasted days. I think it's a good sign that I've not had a repeat of that this month. I'm now on cd17 and still getting lows.

AvaAmulet · 18/04/2015 16:55

Hmm, well, I am totally baffled, ladies. Going by last my cycle I was expecting a really nice dark, fat line on my ov test today as I've had strong half-lines for the past 3 days BUT I poas when I got back from getting my hair done and...nothing! The faintest of all lines Sad Confused

I also haven't had the temp dip at ov that I had last month, my temps have just plateaued...Hmm

Sooo, I'm either not ov'ing this month OR I had in fact ov'd when I got the half-lines and I really hope we've dtd enough to catch the egg so early, but I'm guessing not... Hmm, just when I thought I was starting to figure all this out...Sucks Sad Confused

On a positive note, my hair looks really nice lol Grin Hmm

peardrop2 · 18/04/2015 17:18

Ava...it's possible your body is just gearing up to OV. I've experienced that before with IC.
