3rd month ttc I'm due on BFP on Easter Monday can I drink alcohol while I'm waiting to see?
I have got a clear blue would it be too early to test?
Would be having 4 stubby beers if I were to drink of that makes a difference

Read a couple of websites that say no alcohol at all whist ttc so I think I need to wait until next week

Many babies are conceived on a tide of booze so I honestly wouldn't worry about it! Once you're pregnant it's different of course. But as you may not be, I think it's fine.

Barbarella · 02/04/2015 18:29

No alcohol while ttc is a relatively new concept tbh

Namechanged101 · 02/04/2015 18:31

I didn't find out I was expecting dd until I was 7 weeks and had been on a very boozy holiday but I was worried during pregnacy.
To be honest I always thought until first missed period you could drink but more I read the more it isn't the case

I would....but don't if it makes you worry. Path of least regret!

SnozzberryPie · 02/04/2015 18:50

I thought that before your period is due the embryo is just floating around and isn't attached to your blood supply, so drinking before then doesn't matter I hope this is true as I had a few drinks the night before I got my bfp

Oysterbabe · 02/04/2015 18:56

I agree with snozzberry. I won't be giving up booze until I see those two lines.

Namechanged101 · 02/04/2015 18:58

Hmmm don't know whether to do the test now and if I am then brilliant if I'm not just have 3/4

It is a little bit early to test but not stupidly so, I've seen bfp's around this time before. You could do it if you don't mind a possible waste of money and false negative. Personally I would have the beers and not worry Smile

MalibuDaisy · 02/04/2015 19:04

Yes! Have your drinks and enjoy them. The baby is nourished by the yolk sac in the first few weeks anyway. You'll have nine long months to enjoy sobriety after your BFP :)

BikeRunSki · 02/04/2015 19:11

Hell yeh!

When I was pretty certain that dd was on her way but hadn't tested we went to a party where I studded myself with Stiton and booze before I "officially" wasn't meant to.

I'd have a drink. It took me ages to conceive both times with me. I started off with great intentions, but after the first six months or so I thought sod it, I need to enjoy life too. I was hungover when I got my first BFP Shock

Superexcited · 02/04/2015 19:16

It took me 4 years to conceive so I was drinking until I got my BFP. I wasn't going to go 4 long years with no alcohol for two weeks every month (and I had given up testing and wasn't really TTC anyway as I didn't expect it to happen after so long).

Namechanged101 · 02/04/2015 20:26

:( test is negative.
Will stick to a few in case its too early to pick up BFP though

I too would have a drink. Whilst the embryo does implant, they do not share your bloody supply for a good few weeks. Enjoy Grin

joey38 · 02/04/2015 22:58

Don't live your life as if you are pregnant until you know for sure you are pregnant!!

DaisyDuckSW15 · 02/04/2015 23:01

Great advice joey
