dieting more fertile?

hiya my Sil recently went on the Cambridge diet and was told she would be extremely fertile while on it. As we've been ttc for 8 months now I'm ready to try something new. has anyone been on any other diets that aid this? I could probably do with losing a little round the middle but can't justify spending so much on shakes. tia

No idea but I'm very surprised to hear that, I'd have thought a very low calorie diet like Cambridge would have the opposite effect.

I've read evidence that if you lose half a stone it makes you more fertile - even if you weren't overweight to begin with!

I was certainly thinner when I conceived ds - about 8 stone. I'm now 9st 4lbs and trying to lose a stone!
