Thank you forall the good luck exam vibes. I'll let you know next week if they helped.

Waves at cariad and sparkly nice you noticed I want around. :)

So sorry to those of you having a tough time. We are all here for you. Xx

tessiegirl · 03/04/2015 09:43

Morning all! Quiet on both buses this morning... DH has had to go into work today as we don't get the long weekend here. Bit crap.... I am planning to be on Trip advisor most of the day sorting out our Cotswolds trip in May and Spain hol in August... Oh, and FF changed my ovulation date (yet again) back to CD18 which is much better and makes much more sense... Easter Grin

Dizzy I never knew squeezable honey isn't good for you? Thanks for the tip on Manuka honey though Trixie

Mum what are tea pigs?!!

Sammy have a great time skiing!

Abi sorry for the bfn, you seem a very positive person and you will get there, you know Smile

Alpha100 · 03/04/2015 09:51

Hi guys. I've been floating around for a while but would like to join in bit more. Been ttc since Christmas and although it's early days its getting to me more than I thought I would. I went to a wedding last weekend and was sat with 3 other couples; two were pregnant and one had her 6 week old with her! They talked a lot about how they 'fell' really quickly and how 'accidents happen' and it made me feel a bit low. Any way you seem like a cheery lot so thought I would try to keep up! X

nightandthelight · 03/04/2015 09:55

Great to have you fully on board Alpha we are a very positive bus in general (and if all else fails you can always rely on Sparkly Grin). Good luck. Do I have your stats? Sorry am on phone on train so can't check!

coffeenut · 03/04/2015 10:13

yes have heard loads of health benefits of manuka honey.

tessie .... so jealous of your spain trip! DH and I had the best time in spain.

alpha still really early days for you, don't worry. Only a 20-25% even a healthy couple can conceive each month. FWIW it's completely & utterly crap being either pregnant or with newborn at a wedding. Trust me. It's not all roses, no matter what it seems.

Southy84 · 03/04/2015 10:14

Welcome alpha oh I know how that feels, I have a friend who is constantly telling me to have a baby and "it only takes once you know" - I wish it was that easy!

We will get there though and you have all of us to talk to :)

DizzyMerry · 03/04/2015 10:23

Alpha I agree, in the nicest way possible that it is early days for you, though I appreciate it doesn't feel like that when you wants something so desperately. It will happen and just like cofee says it's not all roses. A friend always tells me gleefully how she 'catches' really quickly! I would swing for her but she has the toughest of pregnancies and labours and that's the reason she stopped at two. I really don't envy her at all!

I wish it did take only once southy I'm exhausted each month from dtd!!! Some people just don't have a clue.

Banana have you had your blood test? Hope it went ok. Had mine yesterday and was thinking of you this morning

Woolly84 · 03/04/2015 10:30

Good morning all! Smile

tessie Cotswolds and Spain sound awesome! We're going to the Cotswolds in a couple of weeks too for a quick weekend break, can't wait!

Hi alpha Smile I'm in a similar position to you in that we've been trying since January, I also didn't realise it would get to me as much as it has! It's hard when you hear stories of quick conceptions and get "baby bombed", but the reality is it's perfectly normal for it to take much longer. Anyway, great to have you here and fx for that BFP! Smile

Woolly84 · 03/04/2015 10:34

Realised I'm away for 2 nights this month for work around the time of ovulation...grr! Based on previous months it should be a couple of days after I get my "peak" smiley on CB but it'll be a close call! Hmm

Woolly84 · 03/04/2015 10:35

dizzy how did your test go? Hope banana is ok x

DizzyMerry · 03/04/2015 10:57

My test was fine woolly, thanks for asking. Was in and out in 5 mins and managed to get away with only being jabbed once! They usually struggle to draw blood from me and try both arms at least a couple of times! Hope you get to dtd around ov time.

Tessie your hols sound fab

Alpha100 · 03/04/2015 11:03

Aww thanks everyone I feel better already! Smile I realise perhaps this is a silly question but what date do I use for bfp for my stats-I know what it stands for but when in my cycle would be best to check for it- would it be first day of missed af?

nightandthelight · 03/04/2015 11:05

That's what I go for Alpha :)

Woolly84 · 03/04/2015 11:11

Glad it went ok dizzy, I always have to look away when they're taking blood, goodness knows how I'd deal with childbirth! Blush

alpha yes first day of missed AF is fine, I usually go for AF due date but that can vary a day or two so it's an approximation anyway Smile

MrsGingerbread · 03/04/2015 11:12

Welcome alpha Easter Smile

Yes, bfp day is the day that af is due, a more positive way of saying it.

Good luck!

Sparkly123 · 03/04/2015 11:27

IIliria Mmm strange having symptoms so early isnt it?? It's a waiting game my lovely! Yep all those open circles you can see your sleeping ain't great!! However, You are nice and warm!! Great temp rises! Easter Grin

Melon sorry again, I replied to you on the other bus Flowers

Sparkly123 · 03/04/2015 11:37

So how you getting on MrsGinger ?Easter Grin yes I def noticed your absence!

Tessie happy holiday shopping!! I replied to you re chart on the other bus

bus confusion! Easter Confused

Woolly fingers crossed you will fit the dtd in before you are away next cycle! Easter Grin

Alpha welcome! Yes, i know it's hard. I think we all feel like that at times and it's natural. Don't beat yourself up over it. Make sure you are doing nice things around the routine of TTC if you can. Otherwise it will get all too much! You will get there. Like Dizzy says, chances are not exactly huge each cycle to conceive, some just take a bit longer than others. 30% get preggers first cycle, 59% in three cycles, 80% in six and 85% in twelve. And that's without using OPKs etc to pinpoint fertile weeks etc. So keep positive. It will happen! Easter Grin

coffeenut · 03/04/2015 11:49

I think those stats may be dependent on age too sparkly? BTW I read a page on the mega bus (I catch up with a page here or there, dont read whole thing, don't know how you manage it!) and last thing I read was your swallowing comment - made me lol! Grin

Glad to hear your bloods went well merry

Alpha100 · 03/04/2015 11:53

Thanks everyone. What a friendly thread this isSmile.

#STATS# age 31, ttc #1, cycle 4, bfp due 25th April

Sparkly123 · 03/04/2015 11:55

Eeek sorry coffee meant to post that.. Under 35s. Purdey had the post 35 stats!
Ha ha the megabus is much slower now! Weird!

jugglingmonkey · 03/04/2015 12:15

Happy Good Friday everyone,

Hope there's been lots of choc scoffing this morning.

Haven't had chance to catch up on the thread news, been packing for weekend down by the coast.

Can I ask a quick question? Ovia thinks I'm going to ovulate next week but I had quite a lot of EWCM this morning... Is it worth taking an Ov test? I'm in CD10, of a 28day cycle...

coffeenut · 03/04/2015 12:17

No questions are silly alpha (otherwise I would've been kicked off!)

I don't think I want to know the post 35 stats, think I just want to get knocked up in the next few months.

coffeenut · 03/04/2015 12:20

juggling - yes definitely.

DizzyMerry · 03/04/2015 12:29

Yes definitely worth doing a test juggling. Enjoy your weekend.
On the topic of chocolate I can never eat any in the morning or afternoon but will happily munch away at night so that's what I'll be doing to tonight. I used to eat loads and DH would ask where it all goes, what can I say I have a bottomless pit!!!

Southy84 · 03/04/2015 12:30

Yes juggling I would :)
