All ages and age gaps welcome!

I'm 29, have a 16mo DS, TTC since periods came back in July 2014, had a mc in Jan.

Anyone else?

excited for you! Your first foray into peeing on a pregnancy stick (poaps) Grin I hope it's a positive, is af usually very regular?

mrsmugoo · 18/05/2015 09:42

It's always between 25-27 days, last month was actually more like 24 which took me by surprise.
I'm quite excited by the prospect - I reeeeally just want to know one way or the other. Not knowing is torture and if AF arrives anyway then it's onwards and upwards to next cycle.

Raeside · 18/05/2015 12:13

So how many signs can you reasonably expect in the 2WW? Being heaps realistic? I had a half day of shooty-diggy pains down very low in my left pelvis on Saturday, 3-day headache last week, boobs were v v sore but now tailing off a bit. Period due in a week. About now I might start to expect sore boobs and slightly irritable moods....

Raeside · 18/05/2015 12:20

Def go pee MrsMugoo!

mrsmugoo · 18/05/2015 13:14

So I've just been out to buy sticks to pee on but think the witch might be on her way...slight pink when wiping just now.
Gonna see how it progresses...

CarrotPuff · 18/05/2015 13:51

Yay blue, congrats!

MrsMugoo I never go by dpo, always by cycle length. If your cycle is usually 25-27 days, I'd POAS on CD29.

This thread is moving quite fast, can't remember who said what now!

I'm ovulating today or tomorrow - we DTD yesterday and the day before. Feeling quite pessimistic though Confused

Can't remember who asked about LPs - the "standard" LP is 14 days, but the normal variation is 10-16 days. Anything less that 10 is short and reduces chances of successful implantation, although it doesn't mean there is no chance at all.

Congrats to the new bfps Grin
patty I spoke to them today and they're sending my stuff. I think I'm due af tomorrow so hopefully it doesn't come and I'm pg or it's a few days late so I don't have to wait a whole month to use the kit!
mrsm how old is your toddler?

If I've worked my dates out correctly think af is due tomorrow, haven't really had any of the usual symptoms that af is coming but haven't had any pg symptoms either only thing is lower backache which I think I had at the beginning last time but can't remember. Think I might give in and go buy a test tomorrow if af isn't here.

mrsmugoo · 18/05/2015 19:58

Mine is 14 months - he's just stepping right up on the tantrumming!

mrsmugoo · 18/05/2015 19:59

My tiny bit of pinky tinged CM earlier hasn't materialised into anything at all so I'm debating poas in the morning. I bought a first response test today. Well a double pack obviously ;)

HopeintheAir · 18/05/2015 20:01

Good luck mrs! FX for you.

MarysPrayer · 18/05/2015 20:25

mrsmugoo it could have been an implantation bleed. 9dpo is the most likely day for implantation. I'm 9dpo today and have been symptom spotting even though I said I wouldn't.

FRer are 'buy one get one half price' in Superdrug. Smile trying desperately to resist

waxweasel · 18/05/2015 20:44

Hello ladies! waves can I join in?

I've got a 23mo DD, who still breastfeeds day and night like a newborn and barely sleeps. We were putting off TTC for that reason (it'll probably hamper our chances anyway...) but we're both broody and she's DESPERATE for a baby. Anyway we got a bit carried away last week and dtd, then I realised it was bang in my ovulation window. Instead of being terrified that we'd not gone with the plan, we were both super excited that we might be about to get a baby so just sealed the deal with another attempt a couple of days later :)

DD was conceived on the first cycle of trying (sorry, I know how annoying that must be to hear to many of you), but the circumstances are so different this time I don't know what to expect. Plus I wasnt doing ovulation testing this time, and my cycle is hugely long and irregular - anything 29-40 days :( am assuming an average of 35, putting me at 3DPO....am desperate to POAS and hate this waiting bit! Especially as I have no way of knowing when AF is even due, so when to test! Infuriating. Will you guys keep me company during this annoying 2WW??

Sorry, bit lengthy there! Congratulations to all of you with BFP, and good luck to those of you in the 2WW or still trying.

waxweasel · 18/05/2015 20:46

Oh good luck Mrs! Fx for you in the morning. I got my BFP with toddler DD using the First Response ones - think I tested 4 days before AF due

mrsmugoo · 18/05/2015 20:49

Marysprayer - I did have an implantation bleed first time around and mistook it for a period which contributed to me not knowing I was pregnant for ages!
I will definitely POAS in the morning.

Welcome to new entrants - the more the merrier!

MarysPrayer · 18/05/2015 20:52

Welcome wax. I'm still bf too (dd is 2.6 and only feeds once a day now though). I think we've 'met' on the ttc while bf thread too? Smile I'm also in the tww (9dpo), you're right, time is standing still!

Good luck for this month!

MarysPrayer · 18/05/2015 20:54

Sounds really promising then mrsm! Smile

waxweasel · 18/05/2015 22:01

Hello marysprayer! Your username does indeed look familiar, nice to see you again :) well done on getting your DD down to one feed a day, how did you manage it? Mine is still really attached to the boob as a comfort thing - she'd probably happily be attached all day if she could be, and there's no regularity to her feeds at all....just whenever she's bored or tired! But I've heard that 18-24 months is the worst time for constant bfeeding.
Have you been trying long for no2?

waxweasel · 18/05/2015 22:01

Oh and very very good luck to you too - when are you going to test? Not long to go!

mrsmugoo · 19/05/2015 06:40

BFN. So maybe too early or maybe that witch really is on her way. Back to waiting...

mrsmugoo · 19/05/2015 07:58

Ha! And now just out of nowhere AF just pops in to say hi. Stood up from having a cup of tea in bed and woosh...less than an hour after POAS. Nice waste of money.

My DH is being well huffy about it. Didn't expect that reaction. I'm actually cool with it.

waxweasel · 19/05/2015 08:21

Oh I'm so sorry - that's crap news. And with the added cruel kick of AF turning up right afterwards too!

woundbobbin · 19/05/2015 08:46

Oh so sorry mugoo I thought you were definitely in this month new cycle new hope etc
Cd 11 here every other day shagging hoping for a feb baby! GP appointment tomorrow fingers crossed I'm normal!

CarrotPuff · 19/05/2015 09:05

Welcome wax. Irregular cycles must be annoying!

Boo for the witch mrsmugoo, have some Cake and Wine tonight (it's not a FD for you, is it?)

I've done lots of squats and some lunges yesterday and my bum hurts today!

Raeside · 19/05/2015 09:42

Oh MrsMugoo that's horrid and I fully empathise, happened to me twice. I was very pissed off!

Stupid bodies.

I'm all over the shop this month, I should have v sure boobs by now but instead I had them all last week and they're not really sore at all now. So either af is coming five days early or....well I have no clue.

Welcome Wax.

mrsmugoo · 19/05/2015 09:56

Yeah Carrotpuff I'm on a bloody FD! I usually do them Tuesdays as I'm at work and I find it easier in the office with work to take my mind off it. Then I either do a Thursday which isn't a work day or Friday at work if I've not got something planned for Friday night (which, let's face it, I rarely do)
