Welcome Wax!

CD 8 here.... yawn.

birdbrain21 · 19/05/2015 17:34

I haven't caught up on the thread today yet will do that in a second, but I need some quick advice. I have slightly irregular cycles so think my period is one day late but not 100% sure. Only symptoms I've had are bloating and backache which could be af symptoms or could ibs! I'm going out tonight with dh so thought I'd take a test even though not sure af is actually due as 1. I want to drink if not pg and 2. thought would be nice to suprise him with good news if there was any. I did the test this afternoon (no time in the morning) test said wait 1 min and it was negative but wasn't sure I'd left it a full minute and so brought it home with me, just looked again and it says positive. what should I do?!?!?!?!?!
I have one more test shall I go take it again now, or say nothing to dh and test again in the morning, what if it's right I don't want to drink if I'm pg but don't want to say anything to dh until I'm sure...

birdbrain21 · 19/05/2015 17:39

Just caught up, sorry mrsm

Raeside · 19/05/2015 17:56

Just have a little drink, the first two weeks the baby doesn't rely on you for sustenance....and test tomorrow and post a pic! Exciting!

birdbrain21 · 19/05/2015 18:00

I don't know if I can manage to not say anything to dh though but really don't want to tell him till I'm sure! Hmm

birdbrain21 · 19/05/2015 18:01

I need the toilet, think I'm gonna test again will regret in the morning when I don't have any tests left!

birdbrain21 · 19/05/2015 18:26

Hmm well just tested again, this one nothing appeared within one minute but a very very very faint line appeared within 5 mins which is the maximum time to read these tests, now I don't know what to do! Also just looked up this make online and someone said she got false positives on it. I hate not knowing guess I'll have to go buy more tests tomorrow. I feel a bit nauseous but that happens before af as well anyone had anything like this before? Confused

Raeside · 19/05/2015 18:28

What CD day are you?

birdbrain21 · 19/05/2015 18:44

Not 100% sure as can sometimes be irregular bit think I was due af last night (always arrives in the night)

Raeside · 19/05/2015 18:54

Well it's sounding v positive I'd say! Can you post a pic?

waxweasel · 19/05/2015 22:02

Ok ladies, I need some symptom-spotting-hand-holding...I'm on day 26 of my cycle, which averages 35 days. Ovulation could have been anywhere from tuesday (day 19) to fri (day 22).

I often get slight flare ups of the lingering spd I still have from my pregnancy with DD, which never quite went away - it flares up now at ovulation and when AF due. But it's really, really bad today. I've been hobbling about like an old person and everything is crunking.

I've also been a real moody PITA but that may be because DD gave me about 2 hrs sleep and the in laws are on day 5 of staying with us ;)

Then I just noticed some darkish red brown stain in my knickers as I was getting changed for bed, only a small bit and nothing there when I wipe. Hadnt noticed anything all day, definitely not AF, and I dont normally get anything like that before it's due. Wtf could it be?! Is it a bad sign do you think?

Was planning on testing next Thurs (day 34 of my cycle) but am so tempted to do it tomorrow because I want to know wtf is going on. But I know it's too early :(

Raeside · 19/05/2015 22:06

Wax I'm going to test tomorrow even though I'll only be CD24. Everything's been so different this month that I just thought I might as well! Do it!

birdbrain21 · 19/05/2015 22:08

Wax sounds like it could be an implantation bleed!

Rae I'm going to go and buy a different brand of test tomorrow and will post a pic if there's anything to see...

mrsmugoo · 19/05/2015 22:31

Good luck to all you testers!

waxweasel · 20/05/2015 08:02

Eeeee!!!! That's what I was wondering but didn't like to hope, but if you lot suggest it might be implantation bleeding then that's v exciting!

So if it is, surely that means the hcg would be starting to climb from when it happened yesterday?

I have some super sensitive cheapies on their way from ebay - they're arriving today so I might give in to temptation and test tomorrow....

Good luck to you Raeside for your test!!

Raeside · 20/05/2015 09:19

Ach it was negative but I kind of expected that so early on and with an Internet cheapie. It's only CD24 and I kind of hoped a negative would make me chill out a bit! AF due on Monday so let's see after the weekend.

Good luck wax!

HopeintheAir · 20/05/2015 11:35

Good luck wax! And sorry for the bfn Raeside but it's really early days so still keeping FX for you.

CD15 here - normally 28 day cycle. Dtd on cd6, 8, 10, 11, 13 and will do tonight so hoping we are covered! Wink

waxweasel · 20/05/2015 12:19

Thanks both! And sorry Raeside, but like you say, probably to be expected so early on so don't be disheartened. You're still in the game!

I'm going to try to hold off a bit longer if I can - I just know that a BFN will get me down, even if logically I know it's the only outcome I'm likely to get at this stage!

Day 2 of symptom watch - spd has gone again, now have a general feeling of bloatedness and generally feeling totally mad and anxious. But again I've had no sleep, so it's not really a fair test!

waxweasel · 20/05/2015 12:20

Oh and good luck hopeintheair!

Raeside · 20/05/2015 13:28

Thanks all. I feel better having tested, weirdly. Cannot for life of me remember if I had any symptoms in the 2WW last time as I wasn't aware of it, I think I tested when af was a day or so late and my friend made me. I suppose your nipples are bound to tingle if you keep poking them enough to see if they tingle!

Torfhinn · 20/05/2015 16:58

Sorry about the BFN Raeside, but, as you say, it is early so you are not out yet. Like you, I wasn't too worried about negative test as it stopped me obsessivly thinking about am I/aren't I all day long. When I was pregnant with my son I tested when I was about a day late as I thought I was out due to spotting, so have never been through the mad symptom spotting before last month Grin

That sounds great Hope! You must be covered with that much action!

Hope the symptoms are preggo ones Wax, the TWW is mad, isn't it?!

CD 9 and EWCM, so here starts the shagathon Wink

Torfhinn · 20/05/2015 16:59

Congratulations Birdbrain, I hope the next test is clearer for you... pics please!

waxweasel · 20/05/2015 18:21

So I have a question about EWCM :)

When you notice it, is that the signal that you have ovulated? Or is it the sign that you are about to ovulate in the next few days?

I remember noticing it maybe 2 days before I dtd last week, and then it carried on for maybe 4-5 days. So would ovulation have been at the beginning, the middle, or the end? Or cant you tell?

birdbrain21 · 20/05/2015 18:43

Thanks torfhin but I'm going to assume they were evaporation lines until I manage to get out and buy another test, I didn't have time today! I'm very skeptical they're positives as apart from being tired and backache I haven't had any symptoms, but I also just started a new teaching job so tired and backache could be from that Confused

Going shopping soon so will try get a test and use it tomorrow on the basis af still hasn't arrived. Has anyone used sainsburys own before, are they any good?

Torfhinn · 20/05/2015 18:55

Wax as far as I know, EWCM is before you ovulate, then once you have 'dried up', you can assume ovulation has happened. So when you see EWCM, you are fertile until it stops. The fertility friend website has a clear article on tracking CM if you are interested, The baby centre has one with pictures [boak] if you are really interested!

Sorry, not tried Sainsburys tests but Fx Bird Smile
