Doubting ICs - stop me being daft

We're TTC #2. DS is 17 months and still breastfed. It took 16 months and 3 rounds of clomid to conceive him.

We're NTNP (so I'm not temping etc like last time as it was very full on. We're in our 3rd cycle. Last time my periods were all over the place with up to 130 days between periods at times. I've been a bit more regular since DS was born (with a range of about 23 to 30 days between periods). I was hoping this move towards regularity meant I was ovulating on my own now.
However I'm now on day 34 and no period. I've done two Internet cheapies and they've both been negative. I've been cramping for a week but nothing. Now I'm starting to doubt the reliability of cheapies, even though logically I know they're right.

If you've got this far thanks for reading. Please help me keep my feet in the ground. Remind me that I'm being daft, the tests are right, my period is just a bit late and that I don't need to run out and buy an expensive digi.

I hate TTC, I really didn't want to it take over like it did last time Sad

In would go get a super drugs own. Apparently they're as good as first response and ics can be a bit dodgey. Plus super drugs ones are nice and cheap under a fiver for two. Its worth it to put your mind as ease.

DH is popping into town later, might ask him to pick one up.
Really trying to believe in the IC and not get my hopes up! I got my first bfp with DS on an IC so I know they can work. I just keep questioning if it's a bad batch.

It really is awful isn't it? I've even had false positives on ics. For now I'd belive the ics and think of the super drug test as saving your stress levels. Which brand of ics do you use? Some are more reliable than others.

I think they're called one step? It's the ultra sensitive ones.

Oh I know them. From reviews.I've read and personal experience they can leave coloured evaps and sometimes not pick up hcg till 6 weeks. I don't want to get your hopes up, but they have a lot of bad reviews.

DH is heading out now and is going to pick me up a test. Thanks for the advice!

I'm so sorry Magpie. I really hope I didn't get your hopes up. Be kind to yourself this evening, have some Wine and curl up on the sofa. I really hope you reach your bfp soon. Flowers
