Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

We let our miroids tie us up, and pee while we're in the tub, and the grads often visit, so we can give their bumps a rub! We've a syncro pee approaching, so here's hoping, for a BFP filled JS No 42!!

Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

That's sweet jelly, so good that dp was comfy with her. I've never seen dh interact with a baby, but he's very good with young children.

Ain626 · 03/04/2015 18:15

Having a really bad day. Really fucked off with DH. Not sure who is being the unreasonable one as I am extra tired (not had a decent nights sleep in what feels like forever) and hormonal. Mood is all over the place. Feel like I need to either rant at someone who will listen (my best friend is at work tonight but has offered to meet me for lunch tomorrow) or punch someone in the face. (jelly where is that colleague of yours?)

I can't decide if it's a good thing or not.. watery cm this morning. EWCM this afternoon (Just a little). Negative opk a couple of days ago (haven't done one today) was more negative than the one I posted on here on 28th March.

Sorry for mini rant. Will actually go read the rest of the Fred now.

Jcandy · 03/04/2015 18:30

Oh ain rant away! Sounds like hormones being all over the place to me. What's your dh done?

DP's mum bought us some Ferrero Roche so might have to dig into them later Easter Smile

Keep shagging those with ewcm! If you see the magical ewcm then shag we must jser's, shag we must....

I completely understand jelly I was the same with my friends little 6 month old last week, so lovely to have cuddles but it did make me jealous and dp was really good with him

Ain626 · 03/04/2015 18:34

5hell congratulations!!! Flowers that's a great line too! Seems your symptoms were symptoms after all. Easter Grin Easter Grin Easter Grin

Ain626 · 03/04/2015 18:43

As for DH JC it all started when he refused my aunts offer for a lift to this thing we are both going to next weekend. it's about an hours drive each way for us, and my aunt has to practically drive past our house to get there. He point blank refuses to grab a lift with her. He wants to take my car. He says he doesn't want to car share in case we don't want to stay as long or my aunt doesn't want to stay as long or whatever. Fine. But the way he said it and the way he is such a stubborn arse pisses me off. he is one of the most stubborn people I know and it really fucks me off.

Lemondrizzletwunt · 03/04/2015 18:45

Delurking to say CONGRATS 5hell!!!

CarrotPuff · 03/04/2015 19:42

pud I'd put the litter box just inside the door for now and move it out every now and again in particular if you see she is getting ready for a wee. Let her take her time with it, I think.

auxiliaryauroch · 03/04/2015 20:33

Oh yes name change viroids! New month new name in anticipation of a bfp! Easter Grin

Tinkfromlovejoy · 03/04/2015 21:02

Congrats 5hell, well done you. I hope the shock is turning into joy! Flowers

WouldRatherHaveWine · 03/04/2015 21:30

Ahh 5hell I'm so pleased for you! Who's next?!

I'm very aware I feel I have done nothing but moan so far which isn't going to endear me to you lot, but I'm having a crash of confidence.

I suffer from arthritis and fibromyalgia but it's been well controlled for a few years now. I'm having a bad flare and it's making me doubt TTC. What if it's a sign etc.

Anyone else have a health issue?

SunshinePickle · 03/04/2015 22:15

Massive congratulations 5hell what a clear BFP. You must be really pleased.

The Witch has well and truly visited me today. I even bled through a pair of trousers at work. Eek!! So embarrassing.

Niffertiti · 03/04/2015 22:32

Ho hum I have spotting. Could this be a) af, b) ib or c) last bit of MC? Who knows, that's the joy of cd24 of the wtf cycle! I also have skittletits. My bets are on af, which would be fine as it would mean cycle was getting back to normal-ish - usually 26/7 days.

Sunshine, honey, sorry you're suffering with nasty af.

Ain, rant away, that's the point of here! Everyone needs to rant about their miroid sometimes.

Aur, like the new name!

daisyspice · 03/04/2015 23:09

Hi guys apologies for being MIA for last few weeks but was starting to become a bit obsessed

However I chilled out and just dropping in to tell u I got a BFP today well actually wed but didn't wait long enough Smile

fallenstar27 · 03/04/2015 23:20

Congrats Daisy :)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 03/04/2015 23:26

That's wonderful news daisy Star

wine I have autoimmune thyroid disease. I find that putting any pressure on myself can lead to a flare up of hypothyroid symptoms. I also have adrenal problems. What have you done in the past to help manage your symptoms?

Jcandy · 03/04/2015 23:51

Congratulations daisy! Easter Grin

lildottie · 03/04/2015 23:54

congrats daisy seems the bfp flow is picking up.

I think I might test tomorrow, 10dpo. I knows it too early and I'd tell me not too, but my pee smells funny and I think it did this when I was pg, and I was 8dp2dt (so 10dpo) when I got my first squinter on an ic last month.

Hobbit19 · 04/04/2015 00:04

Lil, I have so much respect for you and the way you have handled your ttc journey. Only you can know what is right for you at this moment in time. However, I will just give your own advice back to you and say to wait until 14dpo. Flowers for you xxx

Ain626 · 04/04/2015 00:15

Congrats daisy

Thanks Niff. Smile still haven't really spoken to him... I fell asleep. He's downstairs playing on his playstation..

Woken up with a headache, skittletits (which has found its way into my predictive text, haha) and a weird rumbling in my tummy. It's sorta low down, between belly button and fanjo low down. Similar kinda feeling to a rumbly tummy if you were hungry, but lower down. Of course headache and rumbles could be related to the fact I haven't eaten dinner as I fell asleep..

Ain626 · 04/04/2015 00:16

pud great words and advice for Lil there.

lildottie · 04/04/2015 00:20

between pud and dulcet on grads thread I think I'm slowly being talked off the ledge. just had one of those weak moments! I hate twotting. damn body giving me half cocked maybe symptoms!

WouldRatherHaveWine · 04/04/2015 00:28

Congrats daisy!!

What ain said!

sky in the past it was a combo of medication, counselling and knowing what my limits were. Being totally honest I've been feeling good physically so I've kinda ignored my limits if that makes sense. And medication doesn't combine with pregnancy so worried about that now. I've cancelled all plans and trying to take it easy this week. Annoyed though because I've been trying to do loads of walking as I seriously need to shift some of this weight! I swear my arse is spreading Blush

justtheonethen · 04/04/2015 02:30

wine sorry you are finding things tough, it must be so hard having a health issue and also coping with ttc. We are a team, we all understand what each other is going through so never feel you can't moan. You are perfectly endearing Smile

lil we will be here for you if you test tomorrow or wait...but....your advice has to be parroted back to you. If you can cope with a bfn because it's too early and then still not knowing then go for it but really you know there's only a small chance of a bfp even if you're pregnant so early so you should really wait til 14dpo.

daisy congratulations! Such good news!

honeysucklejasmine · 04/04/2015 06:34

Congratulations Daisy! Great news!

Lil, do what you must, what you can handle. We're here for you.

Wine I have endometriosis, hypothyroidism and lupus. Bingo? So yeah, I totally get what yoy ran about doing too much. Spoon theory and all that. DH us brilliant and shoulders a lot of responsibility for things as he knows the effect it'll have on me. E.g. I'm not allowed to do heavy lifting, or gardening, and carry the hoover upstairs, or anything really that might give me cause for regret later on. Bless him!

Jelly GoT... I was wrong. Pretty good!
