Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

We let our miroids tie us up, and pee while we're in the tub, and the grads often visit, so we can give their bumps a rub! We've a syncro pee approaching, so here's hoping, for a BFP filled JS No 42!!

Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

LaLaLaaaa · 06/04/2015 10:06

Lil lovely it's still early and if only one embryo it can be a while to show bfp whereas last time you had double the hcg. Please don't lose heart just yet.

How many dpo?

Sky and ain gx for you both

honeysucklejasmine · 06/04/2015 10:10

Lil can you ring tomorrow to find out where you are with the next appointment?

That box is beautiful.

Jelly as far as we can tell, Arya is mostly screwed, but tough enough to get on with it. Just need Tyrion and Sansa to get sorted, and things might be OK!

5hell · 06/04/2015 10:34

Yay jc !

Know what u mean about feeling a bit bad...i havnt had to wait very long at all for this and all the viroids on here seem so lovely and deserving of their bfps.

Getting a bit bored of feeling sick all day everyday, and just entered paranoid about mmc stage Confused

Cant wait for GoT to start! :)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/04/2015 10:34

lil you're not out yet. Gx for you.

ain what brilliant news. How wonderful for you both.

bfn on frer today. I've decided the on my ICs must have been evap lines. The witch not due until Friday so going to attempt to dial down the crazy and step away from the pissy sticks until after af is due...

justtheonethen · 06/04/2015 10:53

sky the same happened to me last month which is why i wont test early anymore. Yours could still be a bfp though, just try and wait a bit.

lil its too early love, try and distract yourself

ain get a frer

Im feeling like af is on way, crampy tummy, spotty and moody, im either 15dpo or 8dpo if i did ice late. V confusing. Tits are still on fire though.

CountryGal4 · 06/04/2015 10:56

just I feel your pain. My nips have been on fire since 3 dpo

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/04/2015 11:09

Surely there's a cream for burning nips?

CountryGal4 · 06/04/2015 11:10

There must be as this is ridiculous!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/04/2015 11:24

What about nipple balm for breastfeeding? That's for inflammation etc.

CountryGal4 · 06/04/2015 11:53

Where on earth would one buy that ?!?

Niffertiti · 06/04/2015 12:10

Who is starting the next Fred? Lots of bfps to get us going!

Ain626 · 06/04/2015 12:27

Lil I really hope you're okay. x

Thanks everyone for the good wishes. We're hoping that now she knows we are here for her and we want to see her (it would seem her mums side of the family were telling her otherwise...) and she is a bit older now means she can see us a lot more often. She's staying at various family members houses this week, but generally based at my nans house - but yea, my house tonight and tomorrow night. Grin

I did take a pic of yesterdays IC on my phone, but my phone is being crazy and not working on MN at the min. The mobile site isn't working at all, keeps going to the desktop site, and the desktop site keeps crashing...

I was good this morning though - reluctantly flushed the unicorn.

As for the nipple balm... I'm guessing in the baby section of somewhere like Boots would stock it if its designed for breastfeeding? I'm got my fingers crossed for you Country and Sky if you're nips are that sore.

Friends is on in the background, I wasn't watching it but it's just made me cry because Monica and Chandler have just found out they may not be able to have kids... Everything baby related can make me tear up lately. There's an advert for Vodafone I think it is that always makes me tear up at the moment...

maemay · 06/04/2015 12:36

Ain that's really great about your sis. There a big gap between me and my lil sis (about 12years), and she's just turned 16. I can't imagine not having any contact with her!
Hoping that this is the start of good things for you -enjoy getting to know one another all over again!
Families can be idiots sometimes, but I'm glad it's all working itself out for you. Smile

I've lots track of who all the BFPs were on this fred! (Been busy over the Easter weekend and just catching up on a few pages of posts!) but congrats to all of you!!

AF is being kind to me this time so far -v light and some cramping and back ache but not as much as I used to get! Paracetamol sorted it right out, where it used to not even make a dent in the pain!

As for the skittlenips, I agree either somewhere like Boots (maybe a larger one), or Mothercare probably has soothing ointments.

I reckon one of the viroids with a BFP should start the next fred for us, to give us some of their luck for a few more BFPs in the next fred!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/04/2015 12:39

can't paste links but they have it at asda and John lewis

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/04/2015 12:43

Google "soothing nipple balm" I think there's a pregnancy specific one. I've got GOT adverts under my Fred now too!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/04/2015 13:24

((groceries.asda.com/asda-webstore/landing/home.shtml#/product/910001039275 nips balm))

auxiliaryauroch · 06/04/2015 13:24

I'm out viroids. Started spotting yesterday at 6dpo and I'm now in full flow, so that was another month wasted hoping for a cycle that will hold a bean. May April bless the rest of you with showers of bfps!

LaLaLaaaa · 06/04/2015 14:31

Lansinoh is meant to be the holy grail of nipple cream

honeysucklejasmine · 06/04/2015 15:44

Right. Obligatory bank holiday gardening done, but big project for next weekend planned to continue it.

Now eating Easter eggs and watching GoT.

jellypi3 · 06/04/2015 15:54

Is someone doing new Fred?

Ain626 · 06/04/2015 16:09

Ooo... What are you doing in the garden honey? We only have a smallish garden and I need some inspiration! (I need to get on Pinterest. Lol). Looking to do something not too crazy though.

Right, I'm just out to get my sister. I imagine we'll be on a new Fred by the time I'm back. Smile

honeysucklejasmine · 06/04/2015 16:09

Go for it Jelly

Stoatystoat · 06/04/2015 17:13

Hello all.
I had/have been feeling positive about getting pregnant again at some point if we persevere, it may take a while, but I feel hopeful we will get there.

I do feel a bit funny today though and if anyone has any pearls of wisdom it would be helpful.

I am not expecting it to happen any time soon. It'll happen when it happens. Last night I went out for drinks and wasn't feeling the drink - I only managed 3 G&Ts and that was hard work. I think I was having ovulation pains but trying not to read much into it tbh (I definitely was aware of the implantation last time, bonkers as that might sound). Then I got home and was ill with D&V. I doubt there's any thing happening which is fine, though I'm pissed off as I wanted to shag tonight, it's the last day of the window according to ovia, though will likely to continue next week as cycle is probably haywire.

Anyway my concern is what it it does happen again, the getting pregnant...how can I be opening myself up to the possibility of MC again. That heartbreak is just awful. I can't fathom that ill get my happy ending on this score.

honeysucklejasmine · 06/04/2015 17:43

Stoat my friend was the same. She had a very complicated first pregnancy ending with mmc at 12 weeks. This time round she has been so worried and has said she won't relax until baby is born (any day now!) Her strategy seems to be "one day at a time", lots of relaxing and keeping busy during the day.
