Looking for a Mum-to-be to buddy up! I'm TTC number 1 and not had any luck so far, having a couple of months off before we start trying again. x

Ive got two apps, one says i will ovulate on Friday and the other says Monday. Theyve both got exactly the same data in them? Hoping its Monday as then ive got a better chance of getting in enough bd'ing in in the days leading up to it. Think you should probably get some more opk's just to be sure!!

How strange violet, you'd think with exactly the same data they'd give the same information.

gosh how strange that the 2 apps are giving different dates, though I suppose it's just a calculation in the end so agree that the sticks are probably more reliable. Either way, if you're dtd every 2 days around those few weeks you're bound to hit the ovulation fertility window as it's about 3 days so hopefully you'll have it covered.

Nicky, lols at the scratch mitts!! Can't believe I missed that guilty confession until now haha.

My guilty confession (apart from the double buggy browsing and due date calculator) is that I have a whole bedroom in our house that has been full of junk standing empty for 3 years now (since we moved in) as 'it is for baby number 2'- can't wait to get decorating!! I've already planned the whole thing with a bit of help from Pinterest

I also have a guilty confession! DH and I have recently had 2 nieces born within 4 weeks of each other so I've been buying baby clothes and other items. I thought some were too nice to give away so 'accidentally' kept them! Blush Blush Blush

I've had a day off today and been driving myself mad with thinking ive missed out on this month. Ive got a horrible feeling when i do this opk tomorrow its going to be peak fertility and then I will know ive done no bd'ing in the two days before and won't be doing any that day. If this does happen do i still have a chance on Friday (if that ends up being the day after ov?).

Issie - I can't do the virtual decorating as were trying to sell at the moment, so hopefully will be in a new place before any edd.

Got to go to a baby shop soon as my friend has just given birth to a little baby boy, who i havent met yet and will need a present. I know I wouldn't be tempted to buy anything not for him though, far too superstitious for that! Which is strange as Im not superstitious at all in other areas of life!

MaybeMrs, haha to 'accidentally' keeping baby clothes. Now I know other people are buying things I'll find it doubly hard to resist- I'm so easily led!!

Violet I reckon you'll still be in with a chance, sperm can stay alive in your body for up to 5 days so you could have some just waiting around in there from last time you dtd. Plus I reckon you can still get pregnant from dtd day after ovulation (disclaimer- this isn't based on any kind of scientific knowledge on my part!) I just think you're not out until you're out!

Issie I did have intentions to split the stuff I bought into 2 bundles and give them away. Couldn't bear it so I now have a few things stashed away.

DH is home from work and I've informed him that we should be able to start trying again in about 10 days. I'm sure he things I've lost the plot Blush

I'm getting stressed out and it's only my first cycle. I keep telling myself to calm down but it's so hard when you want something so bad....

according to app I should be ovulating now....but not had no discharge of any sort or no pain like some ppl get.....
can some ppl just ovulate and not know??? I'm so out of sync with all this ttc.

I'm driving myself mad!!!!

I never used to have any idea I was ovulating at all. Now I'm very tuned-in to my cycle dates (because we're ttc) I seem to notice a few very subtle changes but unless I really take notice I honestly wouldn't notice I was ovulating at all.

Negative opk this morning, however ive now read on here that on day 1 of testing with the CBDH opk it will ALWAYS show a blank circle, whether or not it's a low fertile day, as it's simply base lining the machine to allow it to compare the next days' test results. So it will be tomorrow when I actually know.

Glad your little boys ok now Nicky, have you got the dtd marathon underway then? Ive never had pain with ovulation, never been vaguely aware of ever having ovulated in my life (although now i hope i have been doing!!) I know what you mean about the stress I need to calm down too! Feeling a bit less stressed now ive started the opk's as now I can just do that in the morning, know whats going on and then hopefully not be wondering all day , what about this, what about that.

Hi all. hope your all ok.

well my dtd marathon has not gone to plan....my app is telling me that from Monday this is apparently the week....stronger chances today tomorrow and Saturday. we've managed once so far....Sad Sad
I was hoping for mon.wed.fri so I had most basic covered but due to little one being ill and then oh uncle being rushed to hospital last night it's not happening....

hopefully get back on track tonight fingers crossed.

I have had pain in the past when ovulating but it's once in a blue moon.

my oh too is just wanting to keep it casual where as im like "cm on on" haha....

I think if this month not the one next month I'm not going to tell him it's my time so to speak I will just spend those 6 days attacking him lol x

Nicky- I'd trust the opk alot more than the app. Maybe you havnt missed your window just yet :)

think for next few days I'm going to go on opk s rather than app and see what happens. think I've got about 7 left so fingers crossed I will get a positive out of them.
think I just need to chill out a bit...there's No reason it shouldn't happen. x

Sounds like you haven't missed it Nicky, from the app saying the peak window is today to Saturday and the opk reading negative sounds like you might ov on Saturday.

Nicky, i got another negative today on the opk. I did start opk'ing late though on day 14 (day 15 really if the first day doesn't really count) of a 28 - 31 day cycle. Either ov has already come and gone (in which case i think ive got it covered lol) or im still waiting. If its the later I thought that I would at least have high fertility by now to then peak this weekend CD16/17? Haven't a clue what my bodys doing either!!

violetibiza88 I'm day 15 too. I've just no clue. I was sort of following the app i downloaded which said my chances of conceiving started Tues and is at its peak today but I've done tests yest and today and both neg. Sad Sad

we've only managed dtd once this week too which is making me stress even more....so oh has just walked in and he's been told...next few nights haha x

These apps like to play with our minds I think. I Got an almost positive on Saturday and a negative Monday ,didn't test Sunday as I forgot ,so I think I ov'd Sunday ,although my app thinks it's going to happen this Sunday ,been doing OPKs all this week and so far they are all negative . it would be weird if I did ov last weekend as that would give me a 27 day cycle and I'm normally 32-34 so we shall see.

I defo reckon Saturday is your ov day Nicky, let me know if I'm right, perhaps I'm some kind of ovulation oracle lols.

I don't have an app but might have a little browse in the App Store on the train home tonight. Any recommendations?
