Ovulation strips

Has anyone bought those ovulation strips (cheapies from amazon) ?

I bought them ages ago and used once. I used one earlier and it came up with two lines but one was a little lighter. I checked the packaging and it said it has too be the same darkness to be a surge.

If I remember rightly the last time I did it I only got one line and nothing in the other space.

Anyone know?

Yes. Two lines the same darkness indicate a peak surge. However if there is a darkish second line it probably indicates you are near your surge (near may mean before or after)

For me, the second line was never quite as dark as the first on a positive, but I got to know my pattern after using these over multiple cycles

So I could have ovulated already or I could be ovulating in a few days.

Did you get a positive but it was fainter then? It is confusing !

Once you have used them for a couple of cycles you will know what to look for. I recommend taping them in order onto a sheet of paper so you can see your pattern as they gradually get darker towards s positive and then go negative again

I used them along clearblue digital, the second line started to get darker when clearblue showed high fertility, then equal darkness when I got the surge and solid smiley on clearblue.

If money is of consideration, I would buy them and test several times a day. I have been a real addict and the change every few hours is amazing. For me it starts to get darker around 11am and solid on my 6pm wee. I test every four hours. So yes I would recommend them and start baby dancing as soon as the darkness starts to intensify, best of luck.

Yes I used them and only ever got a faint second line for positive!

I use them and the other line goes far far darker than the test, and steadily darker in the run up.

What I would do is splash out on the smiley face ones just for s month, and use them side by side and then you can see what it looks like when you have the smiley for the next month.

The ones I use from Amazon are more sensitive than the smileys I think, they tend to go positive the day before so you get a bit of warning.
